AN: Sorry for the frantic new stories. The last chapter in the Eating for Two story inspired me to just flat out make a Linnie compilation, since he's just so sweet and cute..ah! Why don't more people like him exist? Hopefully I'll get back to writing his main story soon, since I plan on making it super long (since it's gotta stretch until Luna leaves for college). Sadly for me, he's fun to torture (since I like turning him into things haha) so I'm making a more sweet, gentle comp. Not really a story but just Linnie being the absolute most gentle person in Fairy World.
Not really one of my finer pieces of work, but I just wanted to scratch something up real fast since it's almost 3 in the morning for me. The other skits will be a lot longer and better haha. But for now, enjoy Linnie being…Linnie.
Linnie smiled gently as Luna played with the mobile, her little arms reaching and grabbing the air surrounding, making Linnie's heart melt.
"Aww…you like the mobile, sweetheart? I got it just for you.", Linnie cooed, as the baby made noises, continuing to reach out for her father. Linnie's heart melted as he took Luna out of her crib, and into his arms. He hugged her softly and paced around the nursery, rocking her back and forth while kissing her on the cheek.
"I love you.", he said in a squeaky, high pitched voice, but just soft enough not to startle Luna, "Yes I do sweetheart. Yes I do. Oh, I'm so so lucky to have you in my life now."
Luna's arms still reached out randomly, but after a while, they did grab Linnie's glasses and managed to take them off his face, causing him to laugh slightly as he tried to take them back.
"Yes sweetie, those are my glasses. Honey, let me have those back please. I can't see without them.", he said, taking his glasses back gently, placing them on his face before he knelt down to grab the stuffed fox he had gotten her last Christmas, "Here you are honey, I'll trade you."
He sat down in the rocking chair and rocked her, giving Luna a chance to grasp the stuffed doll without dropping it, spamming the "I love you" button on the fox. As she played with it, Linnie kissed her on the forehead, wondering how his life had gotten so lucky.
He went from raising 3 kids by himself, barely able to defend them from their mother, Nora, having to take the blame and hits because he was terrified she would kill them, having to watch them over as an insect, and getting bullied by teachers in high school, to having a beautiful daughter he could care and raise on his own terms, and a new woman that loves Linnie as is, and doesn't demand a million things from him. As he dozed off into space, he heard a small growling noise coming from Luna's stomach, which prompted her to start crying.
"Aww, there there now. It's ok. You're going to be ok, sweetheart.", Linnie said, holding her gently on his shoulder, "Do you want something to eat? Of course you do, honey. It's almost lunch time. Alright then dear, let's get you something to eat."
He warmed a bottle up in the microwave and sat down on the couch, cradling Luna as he pointed the bottle down, and she sucked on the nozzle, melting Linnie's heart as she kept drinking the formula.
Linnie knew he was far from a perfect man, and wasn't even sure if he deserved the life he was having now. But man, did he sure enjoy it..
