A/N: I haven't done a mostly dialogue piece in a few years, so I had fun with this one. Also, I decided to go with a rare pair for my first Haikyuu fic. Let me know what you think!

"Did you have another time and place in mind, senpai?"
"Aren't we cheeky today."
" Sorry."
"You don't sound sorry."
"That's because I'm not. You're really smart and I know you're going to do well. Maybe even better than Sugawara-san."
"I don't know about that. He's always gets the highest marks in chemistry."
"Kiyoko-san. You're going to do just fine. I know you study a lot. You're going to ace this exam and get into the university you want. I know it."
"You sound really sure."
"I don't like you doubting yourself."
"I'm not, it just…it's a very important exam."
"I know."
"I'm going to do my best."
"I know you are. And I know I'm not really the best at science, or maths, or schoolwork in general-"
"Please don't say that."
"-but I still want to help. Only if you need me to, I mean."

"Really?"
"Yes. Why are you so far away?"
"I can fix that."

"That's because it's true. Thank you. You do give the best hugs."
"I..uh. I could give you something else too. If..if you wanted? I wouldn't mind."

"Shit, that sounded really creepy, didn't it?"
"Just a little bit."
"…are you laughing? You're laughing at me! Kiyoko-san, it's not funny!"
"Yes it is."
"I'm so embarrassed! You know what I meant!"
"I do. And you're cute when you get flustered. You're all red."
"That's because you're teasing me."
"Very astute. But you're fun to tease."
"Kiyoko-saaaan…"
"I'm sorry, I'll stop."
"I…I don't mind if you tease me."

"I wasn't upset when you offered to…you know."

"You know I do. I know that we haven't been together very long, but I'm really happy that you're such an affectionate person."

"Something I'm seriously beginning to regret."

"Go on ahead, you have morning practice. I've got to meet up with Suga before the exam starts. He should be here soon."
"So…that kiss?"
"Tobio, if we do that now I'm not going to be able to concentrate on the exam."
"So afterwards?"
"Count on it."

"Oi, YamaYama-kun! I beat you this time!"
Tobio rolls his eyes as he sweeps past his best friend.
"I'm still ahead of you by 2 points, boke."
"Whatever. Hey, why do you look like that?"
Tobio pauses.
"Like what?"
"All red, and…happy? Are you smiling? Why are you smiling?"
"It's hot outside, idiot! Of course I'm all red! And I'm happy because I can FINALLY start practice! And if you don't stop saying stupid things I'm only going to toss to Asahi-san!"
With that, he stalks toward the net, grinning inside as the redhead blusters behind him.
One day soon, he's going to tell Hinata why he's smiling so much lately.
He knows his friend can keep a secret.
However, right now, he just wants to keep this all to himself.
It's new and it's scary and the thrill of keeping it to himself energizes him as he gives the most perfect tosses he has all week.
He can't wait until later.
