The date was August 10 in the year 2010 in the Imperial calendar. The Holy Britannian Empire had just declared war upon Japan. Confronted by Britannia's newest weapon, the formidable Knightmare frame, Japan fell to its enemy in less than a month. The conquered nation was stripped of its freedom, rights, culture, and dignity. Finally, even its name was taken away. 11; the name of Japan and its people was replaced with a mere number.
We follow Nick, an avatar of the Great Unconscious. He's been given the miraculous vision of the future, and all the lives of the characters of fate. He's seen the first season of Code Geass, but the events are starting today!
Driven by the opportunity to take over the entire world by exploiting his foreknowledge, Nick has decided to begin his Quest to meta-game the shit out of the world of Code Geass.
The Meta Game Quest
Chapter 1: Humble Beginnings
Here is Nick, he doesn't much care for his family name though. He's been living off his inheritance ever since high school without really accomplishing anything. For reasons unknown, he was gifted with knowledge of the first season of Code Geass. Convinced that this is his destiny, Nick begins to formulate a plan, but he's gotta act quickly, Lelouch is probably finishing that chess game right now!
So, with a scheming hat, pistol because all nobles clearly have guns laying around in Britania, 3DS and other random shit he's got laying around that seems useful. People walk around in public with 50 ft of rope, right? Right? Ten-foot poles are also a must if his adventure games have taught him anything.
So on his moped, Nick buzzed off, past the house gates, past the drug store even. He even passed the game store. He's never really gone farther than there, but the crash is another block still. In the distance, Nick hears the thrum of helicopters. Shit is going down.
Nick revved up the moped, his shaded goggles keeping the wind from his eyes, and blasted off down the construction ramp. He sped down the sewer tunnel, moped rattling beneath him on the tracks till his groin feels numb. Eventually, he came to the pothole the truck will crash into. Quickly running up to lock every door he can on the way there, giving him a moment to think.
Nick hides behind a pillar and waits. Sure enough, the truck crashes against the crumbling ground. But while he tries to climb into the truck to assault Lelouch, Nick hears someone kick the door down behind him. It seems all the locks clued in Spinzaku to their location. The side door on the truck slides open as Spinzaku charges in and spin kicks Lelouch. "That's enough! Both of you!" he shouts as he pins Lelouch to the ground. They've been caught it seems.
"Um... yeah, hold on a moment," Nick says as he pulls out his phone to check the time. He actually has no idea when the gas chamber is going to release, but it should be any moment now.
"That's enough of this pointless violence!" Suzaku shouts.
"Pointless violence? It is Britania that you should accuse of that!" Lelouch shouts as he throws Suzaku off of him. He seems rather confused by Nick's appearance.
"No way, Lelouch?" Suzaku asks as he pops his gas mask off. Nick's getting really frustrated with his phone now. Did he mess up Nagata's timing or something? Then it bursts open, spilling water vapor everywhere. Suzaku dive tackles Lelouch to the ground to protect him with the gas mask. But Nick is unafraid of the gas. C.C. looks around, bound up in her restraints.
"Calm down, Suzaku! You too, Lelouch! That's not poison gas in there. It's a person. She's been taken hostage. Now let him up so we can get her out of here before her captors return."
"What's going on. That's not poison gas!" Suzaku is a bit slow on the uptake, as usual.
"Lelouch, Suzaku, meet CC. You've met her before, but that was a long time ago and I don't blame you for not remembering. In about a minute or two Brittainian special forces are going to show up and kill us all for having seen her. So how about we get her out of those restraints and leave the area before things get really dramatic, huh?"
"Who are you?" Lelouch asks Nick as he jumps up on the truck and looks down on C.C.. She looks at Nick like she knows something about him, but he can't be sure.
"Or in another light, Oh look, we've found a political prisoner! That means that we'll all get executed if we don't run away NOW. Come with me if you want to live!"
Nick sweeps C.C. into his arms with surprising grace and jumps down before they can react. "What are you waiting for?! Let's go!"
"Hey! Hold on! I order you to stop!" Suzaku shouts after him as he draws his pistol on Nick.
"Get ahold of yourself Suzaku! He's right. And since when did you join the military?" Lelouch begins to run after Nick as his strength flags.
"Who are you anyways?"
With herculean strength, Nick charges down the dark tunnel with C.C. in a bride carry. He's always dreamed of doing that to a beautiful maiden, but his stamina eventually depletes with Lelouch catching up with them. As Nick pants heavily, unable to form words as he undoes C.C.'s restraints, hearing Suzaku shout after them, then Nick hears the voices of that military officer guy, and quick enough he shoots Suzaku in the back. Except this time it's blatantly for seeing C.C. Before they can chase after them though, Nagata commits sudoku and blows the tunnel for them.
When Nick finally does free C.C. for a moment, she shrinks away from him, like every girl. "Who are you?"
Nick squats down and looks at her, formulating his response. He almost burst into song for lack of a better idea, but instead, he says, "I can see the future. Um, uh actually the name's Nick. And I have the inexplicable ability to know generally how things may turn out... If you both require further proof of my knowledge, I know that you," gesture at Lelouch, "are Lelouch vi Britannia, you wish to end the rule of your father for allowing your mother to die... and you," gesturing to CC, "are cursed to immortality and have the capacity to make a contract with someone granting them an amazing power... Now, BACK TO THE MANSION!!! I have Pizza and Soda!"
"That's impossible! Nobody knows that!" Lelouch shouts, slicing his hand through the air as dramatically as he can. Nick's gotten under his skin it seems.
"Did the order send you?" C.C. demands, but Nick just shrugs.
"Come on, exit is this way. I'll explain back at my place. Though I think I lost my moped."
Lelouch follows behind Nick, glancing between him and the communicator in his hand. C.C. might be about ready to kill Nick.
"Lelouch, please turn off your phone unless you wish to get myself and yourself killed and CC back into the hands of Britannia... also, if we can get you a Knightmare frame, there is a chance you can take control of the small Resistance group operating here... The same one that liberated CC from Britannia... though they thought it was Poison gas..."
"My phone? Why would I have to," Lelouch says, but the military's gunshots cut him off. He flinches as the man dies, but turns off his phone.
"What now? I was certain that tunnel came out here. Did we miss them?"
"Wait... just wait..." Nick whispers as the soldiers mull about.
One almost sees them, then the radio buzzes. "One of you stay here just in case. It seems they've been spotted near the red Glasgow! Move out!" the officer shouts as he and his men rush out. So Nick hatches a plan as Lelouch and C.C. hide.
Taking every trick he's ever learned from Solid Snake, Nick crawls under a nearby box. Little by little he shuttles it up to the soldier, him being none the wiser thanks to his tactical pauses. Then, when he is directly underneath him, Nick jumps up wildly, flinging the box aside to surprise him and he shoots him in the god damn face.
Testosterone is burning through Nick's blood as he revels in the blood of his enemies. He notes that the random sariri man is only bleeding out at the moment. "What the hell is going on!" Lelouch shouts.
Viletta is set to show up soon.
"Hide over there, a Knightmare is coming. Don't let her see our faces or it will spell trouble like you wouldn't believe," Nick says as he picks the dead soldier up, casting his own pistol away and pocketing his. "And C.C., now would be an amazingly good time to contract with Lelouch, you know, like exactly how you were planning to."
"Will one of you please explain what you are talking about?" Lelouch demands.
C.C. gently takes hold of his head and locks eyes with him. "I can't explain everything now, but you need power don't you? I can offer you that power," she says before shifting their souls or whatever it is that she does when she contracts.
A moment later Nick has the two dead and dying men next to each other and he is feigning medical treatment for them as he hears the Knightmare rolling up. "Yes. I accept the terms of your contract!" Lelouch shouts as C.C. feints.
"Don't you fucking dare using your power on her. Save it. Trust me, I'm the one risking my life right now," Nick commands as Lelouch hides near the entrance.
Viletta rolls in to see Nick providing medical treatment to the fallen soldier. "What happened here?" she demands.
"An eleven shot this man after the rest of the soldiers left to go somewhere! He's dying! You have to get over here and help him!" Nick cries out.
Viletta quickly exits her Knightmare frame and rushes over to him, gun first. "Stand over there," she commands as he holds up his hands and backs away from the corpse. Nick smiles as he feels his plan come together.
"Now then," Lelouch says, drawing Viletta's attention. Nick tries to stop him, but it seems he has his own plan. "Hand over your Knightmare!" He commands with his geass.
Viletta obediently stands up and tosses the key over to him. "Understood. The access code is XD21G2D4."
"Alright, good luck with this chap I know you can do it. You got plans like nobody's business. Don't worry about me or her, we'll be in touch. The rebels dragged you into this, make em pay for it."
"No, you tell me everything you know!" he commands, but Nick just laughs because he's got shades on.
"That doesn't work on me, but I want to help you. You're going places and I want to go for the ride. The world will burn and be reborn anew where you tread," Nick explains as he scoops up C.C. She's beginning to come to actually.
"Till next time then," Lelouch says as he rolls up into the Knightmare frame.
"Till next time. Oh, and that special knight, eh, you'll be fine," Nick says as he carries C.C. out of the warehouse.
With C.C. in resentful tow, they run off through Shinjuku ghetto. They narrowly avoid many Knightmare patrols and movements as Lelouch rips and tears through their numbers. Nick even gets to see both Kallen and Suzaku fighting at one time or another, but eventually, they escape amazingly unscathed. There had to be some way for her to escape originally, it seems Nick found it.
"So who the hell are you?" She demands as Nick slam the door shut behind him.
"As I said earlier CC, I am Nick. And I possess the inexplicable ability to know the general future. The easiest way for you to find that out would be through that weird mind-link thing you can do... Though please don't kill me if you do use it... I'd rather not die... but first, might you like some more comfortable clothes? Maybe a bath whilst I prepare them? The food probably won't be here for about half an hour... Though I have a suspicion that you might enjoy it..."
"Did the order send you or not? I left them for a reason."
C.C. marches up to Nick as he tries to explain that he has no idea what the Order is before she links with his feeble mind. Nick's miserable life flashes before his eyes, but before it can get to his vision, the link is rejected. He blacks out after getting only one glimpse of inner world delicious C.C. body.
When he finally awakens from his critical fail, C.C. is gone, and an indeterminate amount of time has passed. His clothes were looted, and about four empty pizza boxes are laying around.
Nick casually orders another pizza as he reflects and searches around on the internet to find mirrored contacts because that has to be a thing somewhere. Frank the Pizza Hut guy arrives to deliver Nick:s pepperoni pizza. "Hey man, where'd that cutie go? Never seen you with a girl here before."
"Dunno, she left when I was asleep. Say, do you have any idea where I can buy mirrored contacts?"
"No, but I may be able to find out, for the right price."
"And what kind of price would that be?" Nick asks as he pulls out his wallet to pay for the pizza and finds that C.C. had been using his money.
"Depends, I can get back to you tomorrow. The guy I know will be at Prince Clovis's funeral tonight." Nick nearly chokes on his own spit.
"Alright, I can afford that. I really need them as soon as possible," Nick says as he pays for the pizza and says goodbye.
Nick glances through some online stocks, looking for ways to invest his inheritance as he bleached his hair. He isn't quite sure how they invited people to the funeral, but as nobility, Nick manages to sneak in quite easily. The parade is kind of a bore at first, and he spends most of the time thinking about how to broach the subject with the CPA about wanting to invest in military productions. Then he sees the knightmares escorting Suzaku to his punishment.
Nick gets the very strong feeling that if he'd tried to do something, it would have gone terribly, terribly wrong. But he can grin and watch as the procession grinds to a halt to confront Price Clovis's car. Zero starts his speech, exactly as you recall. Nothing is terribly different.
Jeremiah commands him to remove his mask just as Diethard runs out with a camera to film the whole thing. Lelouch has just revealed the gas chamber.
Lelouch makes his clever Orange speech as the car rolls forward and all hell breaks loose as the poison gas, well water vapor really, sprays out in the middle of Jeremiah's revolt.
Nick slips out and lets things progress as they will. Soon, he will have to deal with Cornelia.
