Dark...
Darkness...
... And an endless ocean.
That's all it composed this world. A world that haunted her in her sleep. A world that keeps calling her. Trying to drag her into it and make her a part of it.
And in that world stood three distinctive figures.
One was a titanic figure, hidden among the dark of the mist; its only visible features were its eyes, red and completely soulless. She felt as if those soulless eyes were looking directly at her with hate and rage, like her sole existence make it sick and disgusted.
The other figure was significantly smaller and, somehow, Familiar. It wore a red robe which covered up its entire body, a hood covering its head and the only visible part of its face were its eyes, tainted with an impish yellow color. Shimmering with malice and wrath. But that wrath was not directed towards her, unlike the other figure, but at everything surrounding it in general.
And the last one was simply... different. Way too different from the other two.
Unlike the other two figures she got a good look at this one. It was a human… A boy. He seemed to be around her age and was wearing a full black set. A black cape around his shoulders, with a hood on it that covered most of his face. A black long-sleeved shirt under the cape. And in his hands he wore black fingerless gloves. He turned to looked at her and she saw… Sadness in his eyes. He was... so sad and hurt.
She didn't understand who they were or why was she here again. She hates being there. She hates everything about that world. She felt terrified about the prospect od being trapped in this world. She was scared. She wanted her frieds, her brother, her partner, someone to come and help her.
Her hands went to her head, gripping her hair in panic. A soundless scream ruptured from her throat and salty tears falling from her eyes down her cheeks. Her knees felt weak, as if a great pressured weighted over her. She felt like collapsing at any moment.
But suddenly she felt a pair of arms grabbing her shoulders. The boy was there, his sad eyes looking at her with sympathy. He opened his mouth.
"Kari…"
His voice sounded distorted and seemed to come from all directions.
"Kari."
As he spoked again, a bit louder this time, the whole world started shaking. She trembled and closed her eyes, almost falling over. But the boy kept his grip on her, stopping her from falling. It was firm... Yet gentle.
The mist surrounding them became thicker. Wrapping them both and separating them from the other beings in the mist. She felt the boy's hands on her face, she opened her eyes and saw him. He was smiling, a sad smile, as he cleaned the tears on her cheeks.
Other 6 shadows, all human looking, emerged from within the fog, surrounding them. All smiling with sadness at her. The other two beings started disappearing, melting with the mist, as if becoming one with it.
A strong, chaotic wind picked up. The dark waters rising and covering the land they were standing on. Thunders ringed around the whole world making it tremble again. The other six figures that appeared started vanishing, all becoming one with this world once again.
It was a madness. This place was madness and despair. She couldn't handle it, not anymore. She wrapped her arms around the boy, burying her face on his chest. She didn't care who he was, he was there! Making her company when she need it, and she really need it. Even within all of that chaos, he stayed calm and wrapped one of his arms around her and with his free hand patted her head. She looked up and his sad eyes meeted her gaze.
Suddenly everything was calm, she looked up and realized: They were in the eye of the storm, while everything else was covered in the dark fog and the waves of dark water covered the land around them. She closed her eyes again, but felt a caress on her face and looked up to see the boy. He smiled reassuringly at her.
And then he opened his mouth again.
"KARI!"
The voice thundered across all the place, everything was shaking, the waves rising, the sky collapsing, THE WORLD WAS BREAKING!
...
...
...
...
And then there was nothing...
With a gasp, Kari sat up on her bed. Her whole body was covered in sweat and tears leaking out of her face. She looked around her room, spotting a sleeping Gatomon, oblivious to her partner's nightmare.
Kari started inhaling and exhaling to calm herself, shuddering as she tried to forget about that dream. This was proving to be harder than she thought, as questions started popping on her head. She knew perfectly well what that world was, she wished she didn't, but she didn't recognized the people in it. Who were those two monsters? One of them looked familiar, but between all that mist she couldn't tell.
Then who were those other six that surged from the mist?
Those looked like humans, they have to be. Either that... Or were one of those creatures living in that world: Deadmon.
And then there was the boy.
She couldn't remember anything about him, except his eyes. Those hurt, sad eyes. Yet he protect her when everything around them started collapsing, but at the same time every time he spoked the whole world start collapsing. He knew her name, yet his voice couldn't be heard clearly.
Her fist tightened around the sheets on her bead, all this situation upsetting her. She laid back trying to go back to sleep, and it came back surprisingly easy to her.
By the morning she forgot almost everything about that dream, except for two things:
The place.
And those sad eyes...
In a four room apartment in Odaiba, a person was still awake, their mind racing with impatience and ideas. Its been four year after all and they haven't received any signal yet.
But that was about to change...
The screen of his computer was filled with static. Two yellow eyes were the only thing on the screen, aside from the static.
The person immediately sat up. A small gasp coming from his mouth.
"The time has come, my child. The time for you to start the plan we crafted four years ago." The person gripped his fist, an eager smile forming on his face. "Gather your allies! And start... The Capital construction."
They nodded. "Yes sir! With all the data we gathered it should take us less than three months to finish it." They paused and sighed. "What about the Digidestined?"
The creature behind the screen chuckled. "I've have a present, as a reward for your patience, my child." With that the static vanished, leaving a normal computer screen, with the exception of a whole new program on the virtual desktop.
The person opened the program and realized what it was. "I see." He laughed with glee. "I'll have to wake the others but it'll be worth it." He lowered his face, looking at the program. "Thank you...
"... Lord Dominimon."
The day began as any other; breakfast, shower, lunch and then gathering with her friends.
The new school year is starting within 3 months. So during this vacation, Kari and the other Digidestined have been trying to find a way to fully merge the two worlds. So all the new Digidestined would be with their partners. And not only them but all the kids around the world.
'That would be a dream come true.' She thought with glee.
She looked at the mirror and smiled. She was wearing a pink scarf around her neck, a white short-sleeve shirt, a couple of pink bracelets on both her wrists, a blue knee-length skirt, and white snickers.
She heard a knock on her door. "Kari, Come on! Izzy and the others are waiting for us!" Her brother's voice called.
"I'm coming!"
She got out of her room. To see her brother and partner patiently waiting for her. Tai was wearing a black shirt with white sleeves, dark blue jeans, and white shoes.
Gatomon jumped on her arms. "Finally, you took forever!"
"Sorry, sorry!" She apologized with a smile.
"Well then. Let's not get everyone waiting, let's go."
They leaved their apartment and went down to Izzy's house. As they walked Kari looked continuously at her brother and partner, yesterday's dream present on her mind. She didn't remembers much of it, only that it took place on the Dark Ocean and someone's eyes, someone's really sad eyes.
She pushed that thought to the back of her mind and decided to focus on the positive. It's been a month since MaloMyotismon was defeated, thanks to the help of the former 'Spore Children'. And thaks to Oikawa's sacrifice the Digital world recovered from the damage done by him and his lackeys.
Now Izzy and Gennai were working together to find a way to join the two worlds completely. It was going to be hard, but now they had allies all around the world.
She and her two companions finally arrived at the Izumi's residence. They ringed the bell and were greeted by the smiling face of Ms. Izumi. "Tai, Kari, Good to see you! The others are waiting in Izzy's room."
"Thank you." Both siblings answered as they took their shoes off.
Tai opened the door to Izzy's room and reunited there were almost everyone from both the first and second generation of Digidestined.
Izzy and Yolei were sitting in the computer. Izzy was wearing a green button up shirt and grey pants, and Yolei was wearing a purple long sleeved shirt, a red knee-length skirt, and a blue cap. Yolei glasses were different from what they were last month; instead of round glasses, she was wearing, smaller, square ones. Poromon, apparently sleep, by her side.
Cody and T.K were sitting on the bed. T.K was wearing a yellow hoodie with a white shirt bellow and green shorts, his, ever present, white fisher hat on his head, Patamon laying comfortably on his belly by his side. Cody wore a red button up shirt and black shorts, Upamon comfortable sitting on his lap.
Sora and Matt were both sitting in the floor, in front of Izzy's bed. Matt was wearing a blue short sleeved shirt, black jeans, and a black wristbands on both hands. Sora wore a pink button shirt with a black skirt and a blue cap.
Matt was the first one to notice them. "Oh, hey guys. What took you so long?"
"Sorry that was my fault." Kari apologize.
T.K chuckled. "Well at least you didn't took Davis place as the last one in every reunion."
"And where is he, by the way. And the others for that matter." Tai asked as he sited in front of Matt and Sora. Kari seated by T.K's eight side.
"Well he didn't say." Cody answered. "But I guess he overslept and Ken is picking him up. Joe called; he said he's helping at his family's clinic." He didn't bother mentioning Mimi, since they all know she's on another country.
As he finished saying this, the door opened and both Ken and Davis entered, partners in hand. "Hey guys!" Davis said.
"Sorry we're late. Guess who overslept and had to be picked up."
"H-hey now."
"Aaaand now we confirmed Cody's a fortune teller." T.K joked.
Izzy stopped working in the computer and turned to the others. "Okay, now that everyone is here. I have some... News..."
Tai frowned. "Oh boy. I don't like that tone."
Yolei turned as well. "Good news is: Izzy made some progress along Gennai to create massive gates to the Digital World do this one." She said happily.
Ken titled his head. "And the bad?"
Izzy scratched the back of his head. "Not bad, per se. More like worrying. I haven't heard from Gennai since yesterday. Normally he answers my messages back in minutes, but he hasn't answered me in all day."
Cody frowned. "That is weird. I hope nothing is happening."
"Why the sour mood, man?" Davis asked him, sitting next to him. "I'm sure he's okay. And besides if anything bad happens your partners would tell us, right?" He turned to his older counterparts.
"Davis is right, and that's weird-" Matt said.
"-Hey!"
"-But I guess there's no reason to worry. Gennai may be busy on something else or sleeping
Though, I wonder if he needs to sleep."
"A-anyway. I was thinking of waiting for Joe to finish helping his family out to go by ourselves to the Digital World. Just to be sure." Izzy suggested.
"Sounds great." Tai smiled. "Now, let's focus on the good news. How does this massive gates work? Though, I doubt most of us will understand." He chuckled.
"Well, by using the gates all around the Digital world, Gennai uses it to create even without the need of a computer, like that Digimon you sent to the Dark Ocean." The younger kids remembered that sinister Digimon pretty well. "But up until now is only the size of a mouse, we need something really powerful to make it big enough for people to fit. And that without thinking of titanic Digimon like Imperialdramon." He finished with a sigh.
Luckily, even the denser ones on the group seemed to understand. "So how long do you think it will take to make it bigger?" T.K asked.
"If we have enough resources," He sighed, "About 8 months."
Everyone sighed at the long time span. They new it wasn't going to happen from a moment to the other, but they hoped it wasn't going to take that much. Still there was always the possibility to shorten that time.
They didn't knew about the next threat looming over them
The night was coming, the sun was setting in the horizon and three figures watched the beautiful sunset from Tokyo's Tower, all of them covered in black capes with hoods over their faces, one of them carrying a backpack on their back.
"It's relaxing, isn't it?" One of them asked.
"Yeah. Too bad the others aren't here yet to see it." The one with the backpack said with a sigh.
The last one let out a scoff. "Seriously. I simply don't get those boys. 'We handle this, don't worry about a thing' what's with all that bravado?"
The other two turned to see their partner. "Are you sure you aren't just worry because Roy is over there?" They teased.
"W-what?!"
The other two laughed at their companion's flustered reaction. From the first one's pocket came a buzzing sound. They dug out a high-tech device; it was slightly bigger than their hand and it was mostly composed by its screen, with only a small button on the bottom center.
They pressed it and the device's screen turned on. The icon of an unreaded message on it. They tapped the icon and read its content. "They're ready."
The other two nodded. The one with the backpack took it off and opened it up, revealing a laptop inside of it and turn it on. The screen shined and four figures leaped out from it.
"Man!" One of the figures, with a gruff voice, said. "That guy was hard to beat! Who would've thought he'd have clones?!"
"Relax, dude," One with a calmer voice said. "At least, he is not going to bother us fof a while."
"I guess you guys did it then." The one holding the device said.
"Yuuuup! Are we the best of what?" One with an energetic voice said. "With the program we got from him, the operation is going to be easier than we thought. With the laptop and our D-Pads it should be enough to enhance it!" He said, raising his hand with a device identical as the one one of his companions has.
"Everyone."
Their attention was drawn towards their leader. He pulled his hood down, revealing a boy with black hair under it. "Listen... If you want to back down... I'll understand." He said as he looked down, looking at the city below him. Its buildings, its people, everything.
He swallowed a lump on his throat. "People is going to die... For the sake of our objective... But once that happens there is no turning back... So now is the moment for you to back down. I should be able to handle everything..."
There was a tense silence for a moment. The leader gripped his fist as he waited for his companions to answer. He got it when an arm wrapped around his shoulders.
"Hey man! What gives?!" The owner of the arm said. "We all been waiting for this moment to come! We aren't going to let you alone right now!"
The leader turned to see the others. All put their hoods down and smiled at their two partners. The one hugging the leader put down his as well, showing a young man with vibrant red hair under it.
The leader smiled and nodded. "I see. Thank you..." The he put on a serious expression. "Let's start!"
They all nodded and the girl holding the computer put it down on the floor. She had black hair tied in a ponytail, brown eyes and freckles on her cheeks.
Everyone pointed their D-Pads to the laptop's screen and a circular portal started forming in front of it. A growling could be heard from the other side of the portal and a pair of claws came out of it, gripping the sides of the dimensional distortion.
"It's working!" One of the boys said. He had curly brown hair, brown eyes and a mole under his left eye.
The portal was big enough for the creature behind it to stick its arms out. But it wasn't growing anymore, even with the help of all the Digivices.
"Damn it!" The redhead cursed. "We need more strength!"
The leader gritted his teeth. His free hand digging inside the collar of his cape and pulling a necklace out of it. "It seems I don't have another choice!"
"Dude, no!"
"You know what would happen if you use your Crest!"
"If we fail here then how can we carry on the rest of the plan?!" He snapped. "I know the risks, but right now!"
The Crest shined with power, enhancing even more the program and making the portal grow bigger.
"WE NEED MORE POWER!"
The beast behind the portal finally emerged. It had a snake-like tail, the rest of his body was greatly build and had dragonistic features.
"Are you sure this thing is going to carry the plan?!" The one with a gruff voice said.
"It's under Lord Dominon's control! And has instructions to attack where we tell it." The leader said. "Megidramon! Localize the Diet Building and draw as much attention as you can to that place. Don't destroy the building entirely, but cause grave damage to it. Understood?"
The hazard beast looked down at the humans in front of him and let out an affirmative growl. "Good! Now go!"
The dragon extended his wings and flew towards its objective, ready to do as commanded. As he leaved, the leader fell to his knees, panting heavily.
"Hey!"
"Woa man, are you okay?!"
The redhead and one of the girls, a shoulder-length blonde with amber eyes, were at his side in a moment.
"Yeah... Let's go back. We have to get the virus ready. And then... We start the Capital's Construction!"
They nodded and opened the Digiport. Everyone getting sucked towards the Digital World. The laptop fell from Tokyo tower, smashing against the ground, leaving no clue behind...
The rest of the afternoon in Izzy's house was pretty normal. Everyone was catching up with everyone and the Digimon played some games. This was interrupted by someone ramming through the door with a heavy pant.
Joe stood there, hunched over, trying to regain his breath. Tai and Matt got close to him. "Hey, Joe! What's wrong?" Tai asked.
"Yeah, what's the hurry?" Matt asked.
"D-d-ie d-d-ig." He gasped between breaths.
"What?"
He sucked a big gulp of air. "A Digimon is attacking the Diet Building!"
Everyone shot up at this, eyes bulging and jaws falling. "W-What?!"
"C-come! I'll show you!" They all leaved Izzy's room and gathered in the living room. Turning on the T.V and surfing to the News Channel.
The image was blurry but it was clear enough to recognize the building and the Digimon. "Here we are in front of the Diet National Building. A monster, similar to those appearing last month, has appeared and its breaking the building with its punches. Not even the military tanks has damaged the creature. And for some reason it's not attacking any other building around the district. We just can pray that no one gets hurt."
The Digidestined all paled at this. Davis gripped his fist and glared at the screen. "What the hell?! What is that thing doing?!"
Ken stepped up. "No time to think about it. We have to stop it!" He pulled out his D-3 and the others followed suit.
"We'll try to contact our partners and we'll go help you when we can." Tai said. "Good luck and be careful!"
The younger kids nodded all leaving the house and running to the place of the action. Once away from the people Ken and Davis brought their Digivices up. "Ready?" Davis asked.
"Ready!" Ken answered.
"Ready!" Both DemiVeemon and Minomon answered.
The Digivices shined and both Digimon Digievolved to their Rookie forms and then to their Champion forms.
"Ok now!" Davis and Ken raised their Digivices both shining.
"X-veemon!
"Stingmon!
... DNA DIGIEVOLVE TO..PAILDRAMON!"
The hybrid Digimon didn't last long as he was engulfed in a brighter light.
"PAILDRAMON DIGIEVOLVE TO... IMPERIALDRAMON!"
Not wasting time, Imperialdramon took the kids and get them inside him to fly towards the Diet Building district!
-O-
Megidramon rammed his fist inside the building's roof again. Debris collapsed on a businessman body, killing him instantly.
A secretary was running for her life. She didn't want to die. She wanted to go back home with her husband and forget all about th- A rock fell on her and crushed her, leaving nothing but a puddle of blood were she once stood.
A middle aged men and a young man, both in suits, were running away trying to find a way out of the building. It was the young man's first day and he couldn't believe this was happening; that a monster was attacking the Diet Building. He wanted to get out and- A giant hand smashed through the ceiling and fell on him, leaving him as a small puddle on the ground.
The middle aged man, watched in horror as the boy died in front of him. He tried to make his legs work but couldn't make it in time as another hand smashed him, leaving another death pulp on the floor.
All the military around the building, desperately launched their weaponry against the monster, but it didn't even scratched it. The beast roared again as he smashed his tail, like a wrecking ball, against the side of the building, leaving its insides exposed.
"FIRE!" They attacked again yet gained nothing.
Hundreds, if not thousands, of life were already lost. Friends, parents, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, husbands, wives. All vanished in an instant.
Megidramon was getting bored. It wanted to destroy more! But the orders were clear. Only give superficial damage to the building, ramming its fists through walls and ceiling and nothing more while waiting...
... Waiting for wh-?!
"Get Away!" Imperialdramon roared as he grabbed Megidramon with his claws and took the rampaging Digimon away.
Megidramon thrashed on the newcomer's grip. Its arms restrained by its assailant's rear claws. It let out an animalistic growl and opened its mouth and red energy started forming in its mouth.
Imperialdramon noted this and let it go to dodge the attack. Megidramon shoot but missed its target as it was set free. The two Ultimate Digimon looked at each other, growling and baring their fangs.
"We need to get it out of the city before he hurts more innocent!" Cody said.
Ken nodded. "Imperialdramon! Take it towards the open sea! There won't be anyone there to get hurt!"
"Okay!"
Imperialdramon roared at his opponent at flew towards the sea. Megidramon roared in response pursuing him and shooting various attacks towards the massive Digimon.
Imperialdramon dodged them all with great agility. The coast could be seen and Imperialdramon picked up until leaving the whole country behind. That way he would be sure that no one would get hurt.
Megidramon was catching up on them and it tried to grab the dragon's tail. However Imperialdramon swatted it away and finally stopped, turning around to face his opponent.
"What does it want?" Kari asked. "Why is it attacking our world?"
Megidramon simply roared, obviously not hearing the girls question. It lunged at Imperialdramon with its claws but the dragon dodged and used its tail to slam the beast's stomach.
Megidramon recoiled and flew upwards, opening its mouth and shooting blasts of energy towards the dragon. Imperialdramon destroyed the beams with his Photon Cannon.
"It's very agile, even with that size!" Ken growled.
"Imperialdramon can't use his Fighter mode while we're inside him!" Davis cursed.
Gatomon stepped forward. "Then leave it to us! We'll get you out of here and give him a chance to fight at full power!"
They looked at Gatomon but, before they could make an answer, Megidramon attacked, wrapping his tail around Imperialdramon's neck and hanging upside-down on it, to prevent him from using his Photon Cannon while being strangled.
"We don't have other choice!" Ken said and everyone else nodded. Pulling their D-Terminals out.
"DIGIARMOR ENERGIZE!"
Soon Pegasusmon, Nerfertimon and Haselmon appeared. Ken and Yolei got in Haselmon's back. Kari and Davis on Nerfertimon. And Cody and T.K on Pegasusmon. They all leaved Imperialdramon's inside and his partners raised their Digivice.
"Go Imperialdramon!" They yelled.
"Imperialdramon Forma Change... FIGHTING MODE!"
Now a titanic knight stood where a dragon once was, freeing himself from the evil Digimon's grip. The knight grabbed the end of Megidramon's tail and stated spinning him. He let go and the beast was launched forward due to the momentum. It composed itself and shoot more beams at the knight but the swiftly dodged all of them. Imperialdramon dashed across the water and punched Megidramon on the face and proceed to give him a roundhouse kick on the sides.
Cody grimaced. "We'll have to eliminate him... Right?"
All the kids nodded, though crestfallen. Davis yelled. "IMPERIALDRAMON, DO IT!"
"MAXIMUM PHOTON CANNON!" From the Knight's wrist his cannon shoot a powerful Pilar of energy. Piercing Megidramon's chest and making it explode in data.
The battle was over... For now.
Imperialdramon flew in front of the other Digimon and reverted back to his Babies Forms. Leafmon landed on Ken's arms and Chibomon on Davis'.
"Well done you two!" Davis said.
"I'm exhausted, that thing was strong." Chibomon moaned. "I'm hungy Davith!"
They all chuckled and flew back to Izzy's home
(At the same time the kids were fighting Megidramon)
"Come on! What's taking them so long?!" Matt groaned.
"I don't know, okay?!" Izzy said while trying to localize their partners. "And Gennai isn't answering yet!"
"And we can't go in without the others..." Sora lamented.
The others hanged their heads, thinking about what to do to help when suddenly the computer in Izzy's roomed shined and 6 figures were expelled from it, landing on everyone present on the group.
"WAAAAH!" They all yelped.
Tai groaned as he looked at the figure on top of him. "Agumon?!"
He wasn't the only one. All the other Digimon partners were in Izzy's room. All sprawled on the ground and dizzy, but otherwise unharmed.
"Ugh, my head, " Agumon groaned as he looked at Tai, "Tai!" He yelped. All the other Digimon regained their bearings and looked at their partners.
"W-what are you doing here?!" He asked.
Gabumon was the first one to answer. "We don't know. We received a message from Gennai telling us to gather and then, the next thing we know, someone tackled us on one of the portals!"
"But who?" Sora asked.
"We didn't got a good look. It was a Digimon that's for sure, but it was real strong!"
The kids frowned at this, but then they heard a knock on the front door. Izzy got out to see and was relieved to see it was the younger kids. "Oh thank God, you guys are back!"
"What's wrong?" Yolei asked. "Besides the obvious..."
"Come with me!"
They all entered his room again and the kids were surprised to see their older counterparts' partners. "Why are you here?" T.K asked and everyone explained what they just said.
"Someone pushed you here?" Kari asked, confused by the turns of events.
Izzy frowned. "First that Digimon attacking the human world and now this? It can't be a coincidence..."
Davis shrugged. "Don't worry, we'll just send you guys back!" He walked to the computer and pointed his D-3 at it. "Digiport open!"
Nothing.
"Uh?" He blinked. "What's happening? Digiport open!" He tried again.
Nothing.
"What the hell?" He growled.
Ken walked towards him. "What's wrong?"
"The portal won't open!"
"WHAT?!"
They all got close to the computer and the younger kids tried, yet nothing happened. "What's happening?" T.K asked.
Suddenly the portal's screen appeared, they were relieved to see that it reappeared, yet that relieve was short lived when the portal's screen suddenly turned black and a mesagge in red letters appeared:
'This world is now safe. No one would never try to harm it. The inhabitants of this world are safe. They will live peaceful lives. This world now has new leaders. True leaders. They will protect this world forever.'
'This world has gained a new route'.
The Digidestined were left speechless by this, as the portal's screen went blank again. Their only connection to the Digital World has been shut down.
"W-What's happening?" Kari stammered.
Suddenly, from Izzy's computer, multiple messages started arriving. All of them from the kids around the world. The message were all about the same thing:
The Digital World was now out of their reach.
"First step complete, Lord Dominimon."
The angelical Digimon manage to project a holographic vision of himself in front of his protégé. Behind his helmet he was smiling now that the boy started making progress on the plan.
"Very Good. I knew you wouldn't disappoint me, my boy."
The kid in front of him smiled. But this was just the first step. "How's the Capital's construction doing?"
"With the data you gave us, creating it shouldn't take us more than a week. I hope the Digimon trusts us as their leaders..."
"They will, my boy. You're patience shall be rewarded. You'll see." He straightened himself. "Now I must go. Best of luck my child."
"Thank you, master." The boy bowed and Daemon disappeared.
The boy stood up and leaved the room, striding through the halls of the center of what, he hoped, will be the center of the new capital. He opened a door to a great hall were his partners were waiting for him, all sitting in a big round table.
"Everything went according to plan, boss." The one with curly hair said. "The virus blocked the Digiports and only we have the ability to cross between worlds now."
"Good." He said while sitting. "Where are Drac and the others?"
"They're training down below. Saying they want to be ready for any unexpected twist." The girl with blonde hair answered.
"I see. Thanks, Tori."
"Here is Tenshi, Ryu" 'Tenshi' said.
"Whatever." He rolled his eyes. "Mak- I mean Brains, everything ready for Plan B?"
"Yessir!" The one with curly hair, Brains, answered. "All documents ready."
"Good. Then I guess that's all for today." He stood up, walking towards a panoramic window showing a great deal of the area they were on.
He took a deep breath. "Today... Starts a new era in the Digital World. The era of...
The Routed.
A/N: Welp here's the story I promised you on December. Hope you like it.
