Hey everycreature! What's up!?
So this is just a quick one shot following Princess Trouble, was thinking if I should have added this to that, but I thought it would be good on its own!

Princess Cadance and Prince Shining Armor have finally returned back to the Crystal Empire after their week long vacation in Canterlot, having left their young adult daughter, Princess Flurry Heart, in complete charge of affairs back home. Along the normal duties the young princess had to do, she also had to negotiate a new trade deal between the Crystal Empire and Saddle Arabia, while dealing with a hopelessly romantic prince… Luckily she dealt with it and no longer had to worry about that issue as the two returning majesties felt the train stop at the Crystal Empire station.
"I hope things were okay, especially with you know who." Cadance spoke.
"I'm sure it was, our girl's tough and well if you ask me, that prince was lucky I wasn't there…" Shining Armor replied as he thought about what he would have done if the prince made any moves.
As the car doors opened, the two royals got on and trotted out of the train car to see not only several guards, but their son in law, as well as their grandfoal.
"Grandmare, grandstallion!" The little filly yelled as she gave her grandponies a hug.
"It's wonderful to see you back home little Cinnamon." Cadance chuckled.
"And you too Pound Cake." Shining Armor smiled. "Where's Flurry?"
"She's back at the palace, busy with leading the kingdom after all." The younger stallion answered. "So she asked if we could come and greet you, says she's terrible sorry she couldn't come herself."
"So she's doing okay?" Cadance asked slowly.
"Why don't you go see for yourself." Pound Cake smiled as Cadance and Shining Armor looked at each other before following their family members and guards to the palace, passing by the crystal ponies, who were happy to see their princess and prince back in town.
As the group arrived back, they saw more guards, with one of them being a female griffon clad in crystal guard armor, who took a bow seeing the returning royals.
"Your majesties, a pleasure to have you back." The griffon smiled.
"Good to see you too Grace." Shining Armor returned. "I trust you kept my daughter safe."
"Of course sir, the princess is inside and eager to see you." Grace notified Flurry's parents. "She's in the throne room last I saw her." Grace directing them as Cadance and Shining Armor went inside, the palace servants coming up and offering to take their bags as Flurry's parents trotted to the throne room, a little worried, but trying to not show it as they entered…
And inside they found Flurry sitting on the crystal throne, currently attending to a dispute between a couple of guards, Flurry settling it as she noticed her parents come in, but being a princess meant she couldn't be distracted and first needed to finish what she was currently doing.
"Now that you both told me your side of the story, I think you two need to be in separate posts until you both calm down and can find the time to apologize to each other." Flurry declared. "Report to the captain for your assignments, dismissed." Flurry putting an end to it as the guards had to accept this and took a bow before taking their leave.
"Thank you, your majesty." The two said as they kept their bow for a minute while trotting back before leaving while Flurry got off the throne and came forth to her parents.
"Mom, dad, welcome home, how was Canterlot, but more importantly Auntie Twily?" Flurry asked as she hugged her mother and then her father.
"Your auntie's doing great sweetie and I can see things are just as good here." Shining Armor answered as Cadance spoke next.
"So how did the Saddle Arabian visit go?" Cadance wanting to know. "You know when we were in Canterlot, I heard about a certain princess really putting down her hoof in front of the Saddle Arabians…" Cadance playfully narrowed her eyes at her daughter as Flurry froze for a second.
"Oh that, well…" Flurry not knowing how to respond, but Cadance began chuckling as of course she was teasing her daughter.
"Don't worry sweetie, your father and I aren't upset, in fact we're very proud of you for handling things so well." Cadance smiled.
"To be honest, it didn't go smoothly at first, but with a little help from a good friend, I figured it out and let me tell you, that prince quickly had to change his mind about me." Flurry finally let out a little chuckle.
"And yeah about that sweetie…" Shining Armor began, but Cadance stopped her husband.
"Flurry, your father and I were a little worried and I guess didn't have complete confidence, you see I knew about the Saddle Arabian family and we were debating whether or not to tell you…" Cadance revealed awkwardly. "I was about to tell you right before we left, but I figured when you said you were prepared for everything, you meant everything…" Cadance said and to her surprise, Flurry wasn't mad.
"It's okay mom, everything worked out and I really got to be a princess." Flurry said. "I'm glad I got this chance, but I think I can wait a little longer to do it forever."
"And we are sure you're going to be a great princess even without us sweetie." Shining Armor spoke with a tone of full confidence.
"Thanks dad." Flurry replied. "And now that you're back home, I guess it's time for me to leave it to you two for now." Flurry sighed.
"Actually…" Cadance seeing her daughter's expression. "Why don't you just finish for the rest of the day, your father and I are a little tired from the trip back and we could use some rest so tomorrow we can be all fresh and more ready."
"Really? You sure mom?" Flurry brightened up. "You two don't mind?"
"Of course not, you're handling things well, why stop now?" Cadance smiled.
"Oh thanks you two!" Flurry said as she then turned to the nearest guard. "Please make sure my own family is informed that I will be busy until dinner time and I will see them tonight in the dining room."
"Yes, your majesty." The guard bowed before going to carry out the order.
"Well, we'll leave you to it than sweetie." Cadance said, giving Flurry a soft kiss on the cheek and Shining Armor giving his daughter a quick hug before the two left the throne room to relax for the rest of the day and give their daughter room to finish her tasks for the day.
