A/N in this AU one-shot while Megan is still suffering from MS she's doing fairly well. Walter's parents are just coming for a visit.
Happy and Paige were not exspecting to be here waiting for Walter's Parents alone.
Paige fidgeted as she held the sign up with his parent's names. She didn't like who Walter was going to see and wanted him back where she could keep an eye on him. When Walter suggested Ralph having the afternoon off school to come with him she'd lept at the chance. It's not that she thought he'd do anything, but she didn't trust HER.
Louise and Sean were confused when they approached the ladies. Walter's parents had recognised them from Walter's Facebook posts. "Couldn't even face me like a man could he?" Sean angerily questioned just before Louise hit him on the arm. Happy cleared her throat "His car was written off on a job last week, Interpol offered to replace it instead of Homeland." Happy didn't mention that his car had been bombed. "They called him this morning to collect it- Simone was quite insistant on him collecting it from her immediately. He's taken Paige's Son Ralph with him to go get it. I don't think he'll be long but asked us to come ahead of him just in case he wasn't on time" Sean and Louise looked confused- they knew of Ralph, his surrogate Son/Mentee who Walter heavily featured on his Facebook posts- his status' full of pride at the young lad's achievements. But the lady? "And who the hell is Simone?"
Paige's face immediately showed signs of disgust "She works for Interpol. We've done a few jobs for them" Happy replied. "she's been trying to work her way into Walter's pants too.. the slut" Paige muttered glaring at her shoes. Happy rolled her eyes "Look Paige unless you make a move other women will- it doesn't make them sluts when you don't have any claim to him" she chastised, thoroughly sick of the jealously Paige displayed whenever any Women showed any interest in Walter (which was fairly regularly). It seemed pointless to Happy for Paige to feel jealous of Simone anyway- it wasn't like he was interested in Simone. Happy had a feeling Walter took Ralph with him to discourage Simones advances.
Paige swallowed down the spiteful retort she had in her mind and smiled at Walter's shocked Parents "I appologise. That was unprofessional of me. May I take your luggage?" She asked stepping forward. Sean frowned at her grabbing their cases "No. I'll take these" he replied gruffly.
Louise smiled as they all walked towards the Car park "I do hope you two get together" she whispered to Paige "I want some Grandchildren to spoil, and you'd make beautiful babies together."
Paige blushed furiously as her brain automatically thought about the delicious ways to go about making said Grandchildren. Just as she opened her mouth to reply her mobile rang- it was Ralph "We've parked next to the SUV" he said "But Happy will still have to drive Walter's parents" he said weirdly enthusiastically before hanging up.
Paige was instantly suspicious. One of their private clients Richard Elia had known the best way to charm Walter was to give him a flashy car. If it only had enough room for two people chances are Simone had managed to secure him a similar car. Sure enough as they reached the area that they'd parked the SUV they spotted Walter and Ralph gushing over the engine of a sleek black Ferrari with a custom number plate. Paige gritted her teeth, Simone was seriously upping her game. 'It's ok' she thought to herself 'I know Walter finds me attractive. When everyone leaves tonight I'll make my move and have him bend me over it- that'll show her' she thought to herself suddenly smug.
"Oh Walter you've grown up so Handsome" Louise exclaimed pulling her son in for a hug "Oh Ok... Thank you Mother" Walter replied. As soon as she released Walter she pulled Ralph in for a hug "And you!" She exclaimed "I've heard so much about you! So smart just like my Walter. Such a cutie too!" Ralph beamed at being compared to his idol, returning her hug. Sean uncharacteristically patted Walter on the back "Wish the ladies fought over me like this when I was your age" he smirked at a confused Walter "No one ever gave me stuff like this" Walter blushed and Ralph wrinkled his nose "It was weird" Ralph began "she kept sniffing him and stroking his arms. Walter couldn't get out of there fast enough" he laughed. Paige had to hold back a growl. Simone was a beautiful lady with a sexy accent. Just because he was rejecting her now didn't mean he'd would later. Taking Happy's words to heart she began plotting the seduction of her Boss. She was going to have him moaning her name by the end of the night!
Megan grinned as she embraced her parents. "My girl it's been too long!" Sean exclaimed. Louise agreed "I've missed you both terribly. I wish you'd both move back to the farm" she sobbed. "Mammy it's the first time you've been able to afford to come visit- my care is too exspensive..." She sad sadly "...but Walters work here keeps me well and he takes good care of me. You don't need to worry about us" she finished with a smile.
Walter frowned- he always assumed that his parents never visited because they were ashamed of him, and he'd felt guilty that they'd never attempted to visit Megan because of him. It never occurred to him that they'd struggle to afford the trip. He felt annoyed at himself for never offering to pay for them to visit. He wasn't bothered for himself, today was the first time his father had seemed happy with him, but he knew Megan had missed their parents terribly. "If-If you want to V-visit in the future L-Let me know I-I'll arrange something" he stuttered- The stress of being annoyed with himself and worry that his parents would take offence weighed on him. Louise squeezed his arm, so happy that he was thinking of them. Sean nodded at him "That's very thoughtful of you Walter thank you".
Paige smiled proudly. Walter's EQ was coming on so well. It was obvious he was nervous but the fact he'd offered to support them so they could visit was a huge step. Especially as he'd voiced his fears to her about his parents visiting in the first place. Spotting Toby with Happy as they entered the garage she made a beeline for her friends as she began putting the plans she had made into motion. "Toby! Happy! Just the people I wanted to see" she smiled "I was wondering if you wouldn't mind watching Ralph for the night?" Toby was shocked when Happy instantly agreed. They were meant to be going to a monster truck rally tonight (nor that Paige knew). While he was relieved that seemed no longer the case (perhaps he could talk her into watching a movie or going to dinner tommorow instead) he was confused as to why Happy would so readily agree when she'd been looking forward to their night out. Sensing Toby's confusion Happy leaned over and whispered in his ear "I think Walter's getting lucky tonight". Toby grinned like a Cheshire cat. 'It's about time!' He thought to himself. Then he wondered if he could talk Walter into giving him a raise tommorow- he could guarantee Walter would be in a excellent mood if Happy was right.
Louise hadn't smiled so much in a long time. Megan had convinced Walter to help her make a slide show of their lives in America prior to their parents visit, which she was now showing on the projector. Walter was embarrassed by some of the photos there but he found it very difficult to say no to his sister- especially as she rarely asked for anything. "This is me and Walter with our old band" Megan said proudly as Walter nervously looked towards Paige. His eyes widened and he was glad he'd looked at her as her eyes were dark with obvious appreciation. Maybe letting others see a glimpse of his past was a good idea after all?
"Take me for a drive" Paige whispered seductively when everyone was gone. Walter believed he mustve misread her tone but stuttered when he replied a quiet OK to her anyway. He was confused as to why Paige was wearing such a long coat. Though it was dark outside LA wasn't known for being cold.
As they drove Paige lightly gripped Walter's thigh moving her hand closer and closer to her target. She was going to ensure whenever he looked at his car that he'll only think of her. Walter knew he was going to have a very uncomfortable call in the morning to get their bail posted. He wondered if he offered to keep Megan's previous arrest to himself she'd post bail and keep his and Paige's to herself. Because God knows the others would tell his parents. He only hoped the officers would keep the reason for their arrest to themselves.
