It was another quiet day in Fukuoka. It had been a month after the nomu attack and things had gone back to normal. The damage that was done; gone and clean and the debris left cleaned up. Patrolling the area the #2 hero Hawks smiled and waved at fellow admires and citizens. It had been quiet since the attack, nothing seemed out of place. He liked quiet days like this. Days were he could go around and not have to worry or do anything the day was all his or so he thought. The sound of glass shattering caught his attention. His head turns to the sound of a woman calling out seeing a male-run by with something in his hands.
"Thief!" A citizen called out.
Hawks sighed scratching the back of his head. Now he's gonna have to work. He took off tailing the thief, he watched as the thief stumbled and wobbled bumping into people. Hawks noticed that the jewelry that was stolen dropping onto the ground, the thief not even turning back to pick any of it up. Sending his feathers out to scoop up the stolen gems.
"What's with this guy?" Hawks thought.
The male ducked into an alleyway covered in tarps. Not able to see from above Hawks landed. The male was gone all that was left was a pile of jewels. Cautious still, he rolled his eyes being sent on a wild goose chase.
"Why steal it if you're just gonna leave it all behind? pointless," he muttered.
Thinking back on the thief's movements an idea came to his mind. Was he being used by someone quirk? He walked further down and searched the alleyway, he found nothing. Sensing vibrations in his wings he turned to head back, out of his peripheral he saw something white. His eyes fell upon a female, she had long teal hair and hypnotic violet eyes she was wearing a white sundress with a silver half corset around her small waist. A doll is what came to his mind looking at her, a creepy, stunning looking doll, but a doll nonetheless. He smiled and gave her a light wave.
"Everything ok?" he asked.
"Ah. Yes, sorry. I just heard a noise is all." she said
"Well I mean I can't say it's not dangerous so it's best to be careful." He said.
"I see..." She said.
"You didn't by chance see anyone? He asked
" No, sorry." She replied.
Hawks rubbing the back of his head. Kinda lame for the #2 hero to lose a simple thief. He thought about it briefly looking away. He then looked at the female. Confused to see that she was gone, vanished, and not even a sound. Before returning to the skies Hawk's checked the area thoroughly once more but nothing was found. While in the air he thought about the female. No doubt she stood out in a place like Fukuoka. Cupping his chin he thought carefully. Her presence was mysterious and dangerous. And her eyes...
"It's not even a question, I made a rookie mistake," he said
Days later patrolling the streets Hawks was on the lookout. He hadn't seen the girl, but daily occurrences with thievery had increased. Even though the results were the same, they would vanish, leaving everything behind. One news channel saying based on eyewitnesses that a villain might be at the base of the thieveries playing a mere game. Several victims that were caught don't remember anything and cameras from the stolen shops showed them with an empty stare like they're being controlled. There was no doubt in Hawk's mind, that female he met had something to do with it, and today he planned on catching her. He waited, and sure enough, the sound of a citizen cried out. A thief had appeared and was on the run. Same as before Hawks gave chase following. He had to take a bit of mud for letting some of the thieves get away but he had learned the pattern. They would vanish down an abandoned alleyway that had some sort of coverage so he couldn't drop in. Letting his fierce wings tail them the vibrations told him they would vanish, but then he would hear the steps of another, it sounds like they were checking the alleyway. He landed, and again the jewels were left.
"This is the last time you steal anything, you got me? I'm getting tired of playing around.
Walking down the alleyway to check everything, the results were the same as the first time. No one was around jewels left halfway in. His wings vibrated lightly, he turned seeing the female from before wearing a dark blue china dress lined in silver with a phoenix flying across the torso. The sundress didn't give her figure justice at all. This looked nicer, more natural...provocative even with how high the slits were.
"passing by again?" he asked skeptically.
"I do live nearby, is it weird that I just happened to walk by?"
They exchanged looks both knowing the truth. She smiled sweetly at him, but all he could do was frown with annoyance.
"This game is over with." He said.
" I suppose so."
He looked over at her as she moved back when a flash of red swept by her view. A small red feather rejoining the rest.
"Hmph, I'm a fast hero but my feathers are just as faster I implanted the smallest feather I had on those thieves until they run down the allies Your steps are the same as the one that comes shortly after, but you don't take anything. Why is that?
"Boredom, actually," she said with an arrogant smirk
Taking a step closer Hawks watched her carefully.
"Will you arrest me?..." number 2"? " She asked in a low tone
"The thieves have all been male, so taking in a female might raise some questions."
"Unlucky for you, the media thinks that a villain is at the root of it all."
The female's eyes glowed softly staring into his eyes. he felt his head started to fog as he back away closing her eyes. She can hypnotize people with her eyes. It would be best for my wings to take her down.
"A villain? That's kinda rude, but it really was just boredom, but I also need you for something?" She asked
"not interested." He said
Sending some of his feathers towards her the female smiled, dodging the feathers one by one. She's skilled, I can tell she's missing every single one. he thought. The female appeared behind him, she grabbed him from behind preventing him from moving. A tail appeared wrapping around his neck, it felt cold and leathery. He opened his eyes seeing a black diamond tip attached to the tail. He struggled, but stopped shortly, he couldn't recall his feather either because...well...he looked back struggling with her tail her breast pressed up against him blocking were some of his wings sprouted from.
"Watch closely alright?" She said
Leaning more into him, her hand came up stroked his chin lightly, He heard the sound of flapping but it wasn't from him. The feathers he had out were suddenly sent in one direction as if blown by a gust of wind. Looking to the side he saw large bat-like wings.
"Pretty cool right?" She asked.
"Are you trying to scare me? He asked.
"Not realy." she said
Her tail started to loosen around his neck.
"Words don't mean much at this point, but I would appreciate it if you don't attack me once I move."
Pulling away she walked in front of him. Looking at him, she smiled. His feathers started to rustle as they regrouped. Fanning his wings he watched her cautiously.
"Firstly you can call me Chie, that's it for my personal information. Secondly, how about we get out of the alley? I know a nice little café with some good sweets."
Walking out of the alley first Hawks watched her, her tail swishing back and forth with the slight sway of her hips. Her wings vanishing leaving small slits in her dress where they came from.
"Just like that?" he muttered.
He paused and waited before following her out of the alley. Questions filling his mind. A few blocks down she entered a small café the workers greeted her warmly, but she wasn't the only one with a warm welcome Hawks as well. A waitress came and sat the two down in the furthest corner for privacy taking their order she smiled and she rushed off to the kitchen, not knowing the situation, accusations were made.
"So what do you want? You're not bad looking if it was a date or anything I wouldn't have said no." He said using the humor to try and ease his guard.
Chie looked at him puzzled for a moment she started to laugh hearing his words. It kinda irked him by her reaction but didn't show it. Her smile was gorgeous though he couldn't deny that.
"Sorry, that was rude of me." She said.
"Then what is it?"
She looked up at him as the waitress came by dropping off her order.
"What if I told you that I control you? Temporarily of course," she said
Hawks leered at her as she took a sip of her tea. pointing to her eyes.
"My Quirk is called Succubus, I can control people, enter dreams, create illusions, and a bunch of other little goodies. For the control to work you have to stare into my eyes for 30 seconds, once you see the aura around them you're mine, but there is a time limit. The effects luckily wear off after 30 minutes, unless I take control in which case you're mine until I decide to let you go or after 24hrs. so if you try to make a scene, it'll end badly for you."
"I'm not about to cause a scene in a café'. What is it you want." He asked
"oh? I like a man that behaves" she chuckled.
"I'm interested in a little organization."
"Are you wanting a referral? I don't recommend shady people to the agency."
"Don't insult me like that, please. Running around hearing people scream your name in hopes they're saved by you. While they live their life carefree while having others pick up their messes. I'm talking about the League of Villains." she said whispering the last bit.
Standing up from his chair he looked down at her she didn't move as she took a bite out of her food. Her tail lightly beating against her leg.
"Why would openly admit that to me?"
"Because I've seen things." She replied
Watching a waitress walk by seating other guests Hawks looked behind him before sitting down back down.
"You're working with them, right? I want to meet them." She said.
"You must be mistaken." He denied instantly
"I'm not mistaken." She smirked
"I'm bored," she said.
"Being a hero is boring to me, I've done it for so many years, up until recently I played around with petty villainy, but it's boring as well. But then I heard about the league, and they sounded interesting." Chie said
"So what makes you think I'm part of the league?" He asked.
"Well, because I know you met with one. That night in the warehouse I had just arrived in town. And overheard you talking with one. Plus in my eyes, you look like what I would call morally grey, someone that looks like they could blend in. A double agent perhaps."
"Am I to assume if I don't introduce you then you'll rat me out?" He said leering at her
"Not at all, I'm not that vindictive. I'll just have to be more extreme to get noticed by them solo, a simple intro would be easier so I don't have to make things harder on people."
Finishing the last bite of her dessert she looked over at him and smiled as she licked her lips leaning over the table. He watched her carefully as she stroke his cheek to his chin lightly messing with his stubble. He couldn't help but stare into her eyes, mesmerized. He could feel it, in the back of his mind, this woman was dangerous.
"But I'm certain that to get their attention I would need a massive scale of destruction, and you guys just repaired everything, right?"
If I deny her, she could become a problem. But if I let her join she'll be a bigger problem." he thought. Chie pulled away sitting back down waiting patiently for him to decide, his head pounded feeling a weird pressure, but he didn't let her see it. He sighed
"My hands are tied," he said
Though bringing someone suddenly might cause problems, and after lecturing about the trust he was just gonna show up with someone, he's probably not gonna like it, and there's probably no way of Chie would help him if she was wanting to join the league, it was a bad spot for him.
"On one condition, don't try anything funny and if possible don't use any abilities. It'll hopefully keep him from doing something dangerous if he doesn't know what you can do." Hawks said.
"That's fine," she said without hesitation.
