Don't Look Back: Part 1

This is a sort of an alternate ending to the Willy's Wonderland movie, from the moment that Liv and Evan get attacked by Tito. What if Tito wasn't badly damaged? What if the Janitor lost his fight with Willy? This is a four-part short story.

Liv watched Evan's face closely. He was definitely considering her words, she could tell.

"To set things right." Liv felt relieved at the deputy's next words. He would help her. "That's what I'm goddamn going to do, you'll see-" Evan's speech was cut off by a clawed reptilian plastic paw slapping down on his throat.

Liv gasped in shock and terror, shrinking back slightly. Evan freaked out, trying to remove the paw off his throat, choking and gasping for breath. Liv's eyes widened as she recognized the sombrero-wearing animatronic who was clinging to the car with one paw, and Evan's throat with the other. Tito Turtle. Why, oh why had Evan stopped the car?!

The turtle animatronic then slipped off the roof of the police car to the ground, still holding Evan by the throat, and ripped the car door open. For a moment, Liv wondered how the animatronics were so strong, but then put it down to being possessed.

"Evan!" The scream left her lips as the turtle animatronic roughly pulled the choking deputy out of the car and threw him to the ground. Gasping for breath, Evan rolled onto his back, trying to collect his breath and recover but then whimpered "No, no!" as Tito walked over to him menacingly.

Liv scrabbled with her seat belt as she heard Evan start shrieking. She couldn't just sit and listen to him being slain. Liv grabbed the deputy's rifle, got out of the car and faced Tito, who was bent over the struggling deputy.

"Give me the keys!" she yelled, levelling the rifle at the turtle animatronic, who promptly looked up at her. Tito let a now limp Evan drop from his claws to the ground. Liv winced. Sorry, Evan. "Give me the bloody keys!" Tito strangely didn't seem bothered by the gun being pointed at him, merely straightening up to his full height.

"Ah ... Siempre a su servicio, Señorita Liv (Always at your service, Miss Liv)", Tito drawled, his real voice entwining with the animatronic's recorded one. Liv sneered. The turtle obviously had very long memories.

He held aloft the car keys in one paw so that Liv could see them, before throwing the keys into the brush behind him. Liv immediately tried to pull the trigger of the rifle, only to hear an empty click. She tried again, only to hear the same click. A horrible feeling welled up inside her as the odious animatronic's voice drawled once again.

"Qué vergüenza (What a shame)." Liv could almost feel the sick smugness and malice in Tito's voice. "Buscando estos? (Looking for these?)" The turtle held aloft two big gun cartridges in his other paw, before letting them fall to the ground. Liv thought quickly. She could never reach the bullets and load the gun in time to-

"Sucks to be you, chica!" Liv reacted by instinct, swinging the gun at Tito as he charged, one clawed paw swiping towards her.

'WHACK!'

The turtle animatronic quickly hit the ground, rolling onto his back in similar fashion to Evan. Liv glared down at Tito, raising the gun again.

"Sucks to be you, pendejo!" the girl snarled as she hit the turtle's chest with all her strength. The gun wasn't as good as with bullets, but it worked pretty fine at the moment. Tito shrieked as Liv continued to batter away at him, the shrieks got louder as the attacks moved to a more sensitive part of him.

"Aye, mi _! (Aye, my _!" Liv ignored Tito's yell as she vented out all of her frustrations on the turtle, as well as her anger at Evan's brutal death. "¡Dios mío, eso duele! (My God, that hurts!)" What about Evan's wife and kid, you monster?! Liv thought furiously as she continued.

Tito let out one huge shriek as Liv delivered her biggest hit before dropping the rifle, taking a moment to rest. The girl then blinked as she heard something that she would have never expected to hear from one of Willy's crew.

"¡Por favor no mas! ¡No más! No más, no más, no más ... (Please no more! No more! No more, no more, no more ...)" Tito's words died away into silence as the turtle lay unmoving on the road. Liv was very surprised. He's ... begging for mercy? But they never do?! It must be because he's not at the restaurant.

She took a look at the motionless animatronic before dropping the gun. Tito looked too banged up to do damage to anyone any time soon. Liv took a few deep breaths as she looked around at the still car, the limp Evan, and the seemingly injured Tito lying next to his victim. She then drew herself up before turning around and walking back along the road, with a casual glance back for a second.

A few steps after that glance however, Liv heard mechanical whirring just behind her head. Oh ...

Liv turned just as clawed paws locked themselves around her neck and started tightening quickly. She gasped and choked, clawing at her attacker and touching plastic.

"Pero, por desgracia, sigues siendo tan ingenuo como lo eras hace todos esos años (But alas, you're still as naive as you were all those years ago)!" Tito's voice with its now triumphant tone rang in Liv's ears as her vision blurred and her struggling slowed.

Big idiot! Liv berated herself.

Just when the darkness seemed to cover her vision, the claws around her throat loosened a little. Liv gasped for a much-needed breath, feeling dizzy and weak. She then felt someone pick her up and put her over their shoulders. The claws still gripped her throat, but gentler.

"Ahí, ahí, señorita Liv. Descansa ahora, es un camino de regreso al restaurante (There, there, Miss Liv. You rest now, it's some way back to the restaurant)." Liv's half-closed eyes widened at Tito's statement and struggled weakly. The turtle merely smirked and clenched the girl's throat a little, chuckling as she quickly stopped struggling.

"Buena niña (Good girl)." Tito glanced back at the sprawled deputy and his car. Should he take him too? Nah, he would need help and it would be too slow. Besides ... Willy would prefer this one. Tito hoisted the partially unconscious Liv higher onto his shoulders and set off at a brisk pace back to the restaurant.

"¡El jefe estará muy feliz de verte de nuevo! ¡Créeme, pequeña Liv! (The boss is going to be so happy to see you again! Trust me, little Liv!)"
