"Ummm... Athos?" d'Artagnan is astonished to see his lover looking like a drowned rat. "Say one word d'Artagnan, and you and your backside will regret it" Athos warns in a deadly calm voice. Swallowing the teasing words that were about to come out of his mouth, d'Artagnan coughs before venturing a question "Can I at least ask what happened?"

Giving d'Artagnan a side eye death glare as he walks past, Athos hisses "No, you cannot!"

Turning abruptly back towards his lover, Athos stalks forward until he's practically nose to nose with d'Artagnan "But you can tell Aramis that he better stay out of my sight for the foreseeable future." Turning on his heel Athos continues on his way back towards their room.

Once Athos has turned the corner d'Artagnan turns on his heel and runs to Aramis' room. Pounding on the marksman's door d'Artagnan pleads silently "please be here Aramis, please don't be anywhere near the garrison".

After what seems an eternity to the young man a dishevelled looking Aramis finally opens the door "D'Artagnan!" Aramis exclaims "wha...?" Before he can say any more d'Artagnan pushes his way into his room, slamming the door behind him, grabbing Aramis by the collar of his shirt "You need to make yourself scarce for awhile" he tells him desperately. "What! Why?" Aramis is bewildered.

"The water prank that you'd set up to catch Porthos got Athos instead" as soon as the words leave d'Artagnan's mouth Aramis goes pale and starts stammering "O... oh... G... God... No!" At d'Artagnan's sad head nod, Aramis runs to his bedroom to grab a few belongings, before running out the door to find a safe place to hide.

Aramis doesn't get much further then the street outside his room when he runs into, what feels like, a solid wall. Looking up his gaze encounters the mischievous one of Porthos.

"Whoa there Aramis, steady on" the larger man says as he puts a hand out to steady him "where's the fire?" Porthos inquires seeing the hurry Aramis is in.

"Sorry" Aramis pants "gotta go" as he breaks away from Porthos' grip he hears a chuckle coming from behind him, looking back over his shoulder he's surprised to see Porthos suddenly burst out into booming laughter. "What's so funny?" d'Artagnan's voice can be heard saying, as the young man finally came down the stairs. Looking at the pup in confusion, Aramis shrugs "Your guess is as good as mine."

Having finally gotten his mirth under control, Porthos grins at the two men "Next time you set up a prank for me Aramis, make sure I'm not nearby when you do." Porthos barely finishes speaking when he bursts into more laughter at the shocked look on Aramis' face. As Aramis starts to splutter about betrayal and revenge, a clipped voice comes from the shadows "That's good advice" Athos drawls.

Seeing the cold fury on the swordsman's face, Aramis and Porthos trade horrified glances before running as fast as their legs could carry them. Walking over to d'Artagnan, Athos slings an arm over his lover's shoulder, drawing him into a quick but passionate kiss before leading him towards the nearest tavern.

"And that, my love, is how you go about getting revenge for the prank the two of them played on us several months ago."

Laughing gleefully d'Artagnan slings his own arm around Athos' shoulder "Revenge is a dish best served ice cold" d'Artagnan grins at his lover. Leaning closer so he could whisper into Athos' ear "but you did look absolutely delicious all wet" he purrs.

Pulling the younger man into the shadows of a nearby alley, Athos pushes his lover up against the wall "You will be the death of me" he growls before kissing d'Artagnan with a burning hunger which the younger man eagerly reciprocates.
