"Oh Theta..." His voice filled the room like a sickly, disgusting melody. "Come out come out wherever you are~" He had a maniacal grin spreading on his face.Inside of a small wooden cabinet sat a shaking boy. A boy no much older than a 3 year old in human years. A boy, that wasn't shaking because it was cold, not because of the tears flowing out of his eyes freely, but because of his father. His father, the one person, other than his mother, that was supposed to love him more than anything.
"Theta, there's no point in you trying to hide..." The small boy, Theta Sigma, could hear his father's footsteps getting closer and closer. He held his breath as if that would help.
But it didn't, of course it didn't, the cupboard Theta found safety in was quickly torn open, the light blinding his eyes. "I already know where you are" The father said before roughly grabbing Theta's hair and yanking him up.
He studied the shiny tears flowing down from his son's eyes before his face melted into one of pure hatred and disgust "You're crying" he spat "You always cry, why don't I give you something real to cry about, huh?"
Theta shook his head at a miraculous speed, he really and truly didn't want 'something to cry about' it always ended in blood and tears. No, he refused, he didn't want it, no matter what.
"I can't hear you Theta~" He began. "Speak up, won't you?" The small boy still in his grip let out a small whimper before opening his mouth to speak "N-no father"
"Did you just stutter, Theta?" His voice rung in his son's ears. "You did, didn't you..." He gave out a maniacal laugh. "You know what happens next.."
The man dragged his son through the house towards the room that Theta was always afraid of going to. Chains and cuffs lay on the floor in the furthest corner from the door. The walls were soundproof to keep the attention from anyone who happened to walk by. Theta's father roughly bound his son in the chains before hanging him from the ceiling, he made sure to keep the back of his son easily accessible. "I'll be back in a moment, Theta"
He came back shortly holding a knife that glinted in the small amount of light that came from the dimmed lights. He smiled creepily before drawing thick, deep lines on his son's back, going over all of the previous ones that scarred. Laughter mixed with screams of pain, no matter how many times this happened it never seemed to get old for either. "Now now, Theta. You're not supposed to show weakness now, are you?"
"No, father. No I'm not" The young boy choked out. "Good, good, just checking. Now, you worthless scum. You're not getting food for another week from this little stunt you pulled" The man took his son down as he said this, undoing his chains. "B-but Father"
"No buts, Theta. Let's go." He dragged his son down to the cellar and threw him down the thousands of stairs leading to the bottom. "I'll see you in a week, Theta. Love you!"
"Love you too Father..." The boy wanted nothing more than to be loved and cared for by his father, but he knew that it was impossible. He wanted to cry, he wanted to scream, he wanted all the pain to end, but it never would, this had already gone on for god knows how many years, but this was the worst he ever felt about it, the most he wanted to just end it all. But he couldn't, there was still something to live for, Mæaň, his best friend, ever since all of this happened, since the pain and suffering had started. He couldn't leave Mæaň, he couldn't leave her, no matter what. So he decided to do something else, the only other thing he could do to numb the pain.
He grabbed a jagged rock from the ground of the cellar before bringing it to his wrist and dragging it along. He looked at the red blood dripping down his arm and smiled, the only true happiness he's felt in the last 3 human years. And he continued, just to see the pretty shapes the blood made as it fell down his arm.
"I deserve it"
