In the middle of the desert lies a man. A tall man, lying in the hot sands wearing a large black coat and a cap. He eventually regains consciousness and wipes a bit of the sand off. He's dazed, tired, and thirsty. He has no memory of how he got there or who he is. He just remembers one thing. The name of his daughter: Jolyne.
He gets up, wipes some more sand off, and starts walking. He has no clue where he's going, but he's filled with a sense to simply go. He then remembers the last thing to happen to him. Prior to arriving in this desert, he was killed in a battle with a madman named Enrico Pucci. In a foolish attempt to save both himself and his daughter, he had gotten them both killed. The man's blood started to boil, cursing himself for his arrogance and shortsightedness. This anger is brought to a halt when a thought crosses his mind. If he's not dead, maybe Jolyne isn't either.
This thought bolsters a bit of hope in the man. And then he remembers his own name: Jotaro Kujo. He begins remembering it all, discovering his stand, the journey to battle DIO, the odd small town of Morioh, and even the Green Dolphin prison. With his memories returning, Jotaro attempts to call on his most trusted ally.
"Star Platinum!" he calls out with a hoarse, dry throat.
Shortly after Jotaro's call, his stand [STAR PLATINUM] appears before him. The Joestar feels a sense of relief. Even if he doesn't know where he is, or even what exactly he needs to do, at least Star Platinum is here to help him through it. After a bit of traversing the desert, Jotaro finally decides what he needs to do. After getting out of this desert, he must find Jolyne. Not only to make up for lost time with her, but also to atone for his failure against Pucci. And after that, hopefully defeat Pucci and put an end to his schemes.
Before Jotaro can do this however, he passes out, the effects of dehydration finally getting to him. He eventually wakes up in what he can guess is some sort of military establishment. His vision is still somewhat fuzzy, but his thirst has gone down significantly. He can vaguely make out a figure sitting in a chair in front of him. The first thing Jotaro notices is his distinct hairstyle. He notices this particularly because it reminds him of one of his older companions. Jotaro clears his throat and decides to speak to the stranger.
"P-Polnareff?" Jotaro asks the unknown figure.
"Lieutenant Guile of G.I. Joe. You mind telling me what you were doing in the middle of the Mojave?"
