In a moment, you could experience a beautiful fantasy, or an exciting adventure. But beware; nothing is more powerful than the imagination. For it can also expand your greatest fears into an overwhelming nightmare. We now invite you to join Mickey and experience Fantasmic, a journey beyond your wildest imagination!
Everything is dark. Crowds of visitors are intently watching the island waiting for something to happen. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, the first notes of "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" begin to play. After a brief moment, the music suddenly rises triumphantly as lights dance around the arena. In a burst of light and sparks, Mickey Mouse appears!

Mickey waves his hands and conducts an epic show, with lights, lasers, clips from beloved Disney and Pixar cartoons and movies, and synchronized water jets.

Mickey makes coloured water jets dance as the original Fantasmic theme plays. Projection mapping makes the island explode in a kaleidoscopic burst of colour as sparks shoot out of Mickey's fingertips. Eventually, a water screen shows Mickey Mouse in his full sorcerer's garb. He makes stars sparkle, comets fly, and waves crash along with the music. After this, the full Sorcerer's Apprentice theme begins to play as brooms appear and start emptying out buckets of water. As the last brooms soak the place, Mickey makes the comets crash into each other. A rain of sparkles soon changes into a kaleidoscope of flowers.

Water jets fly around as a flower puppet dances on the stage. Projections make it appear as if flowers are sprouting all over the island. Eventually the music stops and everything goes dark. A water screen shoots up as the sun begins to rise. During the song, Mickey is seen walking into the sunrise. As the music goes on, corresponding clips from the film play.

The water screen fades, revealing the island to have turned into a jungle. Kaa is seen slithering across the stage, as puppets of various animals move around. His eyes light up as Tarzan and Jane are seen swinging on vines across the stage. Three barges float across the water in front of the audience. One barge has King Louie and Baloo, another one carries Timon and Pumbaa, and the third has Terk and Tantor on it. All three barges are accompanied by dancing monkeys. Snippets from the songs "I Just Can't Wait to be King", "The Bare Necessities", "I Wanna be Like You", and "Trashing the Camp" can be heard at this point. After a while of this, a water screen shows four Pink Elephants trumpeting out the first few notes of "Hakuna Matata." The song continues to play as clips are shown of Colonel Hathi's March and Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba walking across the log, but in both cases, Pink Elephants keep working their way into the scenarios.

The Pink Elephants take over the show completely. As a rock and roll/dubstep remix of "Pink Elephants on Parade" plays, chaos ensues as they dance around, both on the water screens as they change shape, and as live performers on the island.

Heffalumps and Woozles soon appear to join the elephants as their theme starts playing.

The music returns to the Pink Elephant theme as the madness continues. Eventually Mickey is shown standing on the Magic Lamp as elephants pop up all around him.

As Mickey dodges the elephants, he rubs the lamp by accident, freeing the Genie from Aladdin as the Elephants, Heffalumps, and Woozles disappear and the music ends.
Genie: Whoa! Wow, does it feel good to be out of there!
"Friend like Me" begins to play as the Genie turns his tail into a microphone.
Genie: It's nice to be back, ladies and gentlemen. Hi, where you from? What's your name?
Mickey: Um, Mickey Mouse, sir.
Genie: I don't think you quite realize what you've got here.
Coloured water jets spray out as the song plays full swing.
Genie: Can your friends do this? (turns into Donald Duck)
Can your friends do that?🎶 (turns into Goofy, then back into the Genie)
Mickey: Look at that!
Genie: Can your friends pull this;
Out their little hat?🎶
Can your friends go POOF!?
Dancing animals suddenly appear.
Genie: (speaking) Well looky here! Ha ha!
(Singing) Can your friends go abracadabra, let her rip, and then make the sucker disappear!🎶

Cards are shown flying around as clips from different movies like Winnie the Pooh, Lilo and Stitch, Princess and the Frog, and Fantasia play. Most of them involve characters dancing, but there are some exceptions, such as the White Rabbit running around, the Mad Hatter and March Hare having a tea party, Winnie the Pooh and the others bouncing around, the Flamingo from Fantasia 2000 playing with his yoyo, and Sebastian performing his "Under the Sea" number. Pinocchio is shown dancing on a stage briefly as a few notes of "I've Got No Strings" are played before returning to the main song.

Mickey is shown swimming underwater. The music is initially grand and epic, but when the city of Atlantica from the Little Mermaid appears, Ariel's theme soon begins to play. Ariel herself is shown swimming along with Flounder.
Ariel: Flounder, don't be such a guppy!
The water screen then shows Marlin and Dory waving goodbye to Nemo as he rides off with his classmates. The Finding Nemo theme plays as clips of the whale, the sea turtles in the East Australian Current, and the eagle ray colony are shown. The music goes back to Ariel's theme as the fish from Fantasia is shown dancing. Pinocchio is shown again, this time at the bottom of the ocean. Jiminy Cricket is heard calling for him.
Jiminy: (distorted by water) Pinocchio! Down here!
"When you Wish upon a Star" begins to play as Jiminy himself is soon seen drifting around in a bubble. He sees his top hat in another bubble.
Jiminy: Wha? Hold on there!
He pulls his hat into his bubble with his umbrella. However, this punches a hole in the bubble, causing it to fill with water until it bursts. Undaunted, Jiminy swims off to continue his search. Bubbles appear on the water screen. The bubbles turn into spheres of light and start spinning around. They spin faster and faster until everything goes dark, with the exception of Mickey's eyes.
Mickey: Hey, what's going on? Uh oh!
Epic music plays as a ship is shown sailing on a stormy sea. Eventually the screen goes dark as a cannon fires. Music from Peter Pan begins to play as Captain Hook's ship sails in from the right. Throughout the sequence, Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Wendy, Mr. Smee, and several pirates are seen on the ship. The crocodile is close behind the ship, making tick-tock noises all the while. Projection effects turn the island into Neverland.
Lookout: Peter Pan ahoy!
Peter crows like a roster.
Captain Hook: Swoggle me eyes, it is Pan! Look alive you swabs!
Mr. Smee: All hands on deck!
Peter grabs a rope and swings down from the crows nest as Captain Hook begins to climb up.
Wendy: Oh Peter, do be careful!
Captain Hook: Come down boy, if you've a taste for cold steel!
Hook and Pan duel near a mast. Peter's opponent briefly gets his hook stuck in the mast.
Captain Hook: Blast this hook!
Peter Pan laughs at his predicament. He then goes to swing down another rope to the deck.
Peter Pan: Whoa! Ha ha!
Captain Hook: Scurvy brat!
He follows Pan down to the deck to find him cornered by pirates.
Captain Hook: Going somewhere?
Pirate 1: Let's string him up!
Pirate 2: I'm gonna make you walk the plank!
Pirate 3: I'll feed you to the sharks! Ah, ha ha!
Peter Pan dodges the swords of the pirates easily and jumps onto the plank.
Captain Hook: Double the powder and shorten the fuse!
Mr. Smee: Shorten the powder and double the fuse!
The cannon is heard firing again as a pirate falls off the mast.
Wendy: Oh how dreadful!
Peter Pan: Watch this Wendy!
Pan swings on a rope and dodges the pirates through flips and bounds. He balances on the bow as a pirate swings over the side.
Mr. Smee: Cap'n, Cap'n Hook!
Briefly, all that can be heard is the music and the sounds of scuffling.
Captain Hook: Get up you idiot!
Mr. Smee: Aye-aye, sir!
Captain Hook begins to climb back up the ship.
Captain Hook: I'll get you for this, Pan, if it's the last thing I do!
Pirates are now approaching Wendy with murderous intent.
Pirate: Get over there! Don't give us no trouble!
Wendy: Peter!
Pan flies up to the scaffolding where he meets up with Hook again.
Captain Hook: I've got you this time, Pan! I've waited years for this!
Peter Pan: Hook, you codfish! Here!
A snippet of the Fantasmic theme plays as two have another sword fight. Wendy runs to the stern of the ship pursued by pirates. The pirates briefly have a tug o' war with Wendy before she fights them off.
Mr. Smee: Give it to him Cap'n! Cleave him to the brisket!
Peter Pan: You're mine, Hook!
A cannon is heard being shot.
Peter Pan: Say your prayers, Hook!
Captain Hook: Let him have it! Blast him!
Peter Pan: Ah ah ah!
The cannon fires again and Captain Hook falls off the ship. He grabs a rope dangling from the stern and swings from it in an effort to get back onto the ship.
Wendy: Fly, Peter!
Captain Hook: Oh, you blithering blockheads! That cursed Peter Pan!
Peter Pan: I say Captain, do you hear something?
Captain Hook notices the crocodile swimming behind the ship.
Captain Hook: No! NOOOOOOOOOO!
Peter Pan: Oh Mr. Crocodile, do you like codfish? You do?!
Peter Pan laughs mischievously as the Fantasmic theme begins to play again.
Captain Hook: Save me Smee! Save me! SMEE-EE-EE-EE-EE!
Mr. Smee: I'll save you, Cap'n!
Captain Hook screams comically.
Mr. Smee: Oh dear.
The scene ends as a water screen shows up depicting the moon sitting in the sky.

Majestic, beautiful fairytale music begins to play as the island takes on the appearance of a palace. The Fairy Godmother from Cinderella appears to cast a spell.
Fairy Godmother: Bippity, Boppity, Boo!
Fairy dust is strewn across the arena as trumpets blare out a grand tune, in order to announce the beginning of a grand ball. The song "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" begins to play from a music box, before various instruments pick up the tune. Various princes and princesses are shown dancing around the area. The barges from the jungle scene have been refitted to match the occasion, with dancers occupying the vehicles. Whenever a certain song plays, the couple in question gets centre stage. The first and last song are represented by screen projections, while the middle three have barges with dancers accompanying them.

At this point, the romantic mood begins to die out.

Everything goes dark as the mood becomes more ominous. The Evil Queen from Snow White appears on the stage.
Queen: Slave in the Magic Mirror, come from the farthest space, through wind and darkness, I summon thee! SPEAK!
Lights flash as the sound of thunder is heard.
The Queen's Mirror appears on a mist projection, with flames erupting on the inside.
Queen: Let me see thy face!
An eerie mask-like face suddenly appears inside the mirror.
Magic Mirror: Famed is thy beauty majesty, but lo; far lovelier maids I see. And here, in Mickey's imagination, beauty and love will always survive.
Queen: NO!
The Evil Queen marches over to a large cauldron in order to begin her plan.
Queen: A magic spell in the black of night,
With a Scream of Fright!
A loud wail is heard
Queen: And a Bolt of Light!
A lightning bolt is projected onto the island.
Queen: Turn my hair to white!
The cauldron begins to shake and glow as the spell does its work. Suddenly, green smoke pours from the cauldron as the Queen ducks behind, and emerges as an old hag.
Queen: Ah, ha ha ha ha! Now I'll turn that little mouse's dream, into a nightmare fantasmic! Imagine this!
The mirror appears on another mist projection as Mickey suddenly gets transported inside.
Mickey: Oh no, where am I? I've got to get out before - whoa!
Mickey gets dragged into a vortex as demonic faces appear on the island. Music from the Tokyo version begins to play.
Queen: Magic Mirror on the wall,
All the forces of evil I call! Ah, ha ha ha ha ha!
Magic Mirror: You have the power to-
The face in the Mirror gets replaced by the Queen's as she finishes the sentence.
Queen: -control his mind! Ah, ha ha ha ha ha!
The Queen soon gets replaced by Ursula in the mirror, as her laughter gets replaced by that of the Sea Witch.
Ursula: Oh yes, how exciting! Let's do it!
Ursula laughs as strange worm like creatures cower before her. The song "Poor Unfortunate Souls" begins to play in the background.
Ursula: Ha! Hello...
I admit that in the past I've been a nasty,
They weren't kidding when they called me, well, a witch!
Ursula will take matters into her own tentacles! Ha! How nice!
Mickey Mouse's mind will be mine! And then I'll make him writhe! I'll see him wriggle like a worm on a hook! Ha ha ha!
A ghostly green Mickey can be seen, with whispy hands grabbing at him.
Ursula: To belong, to me! To obey my every whim! Why not? Let's do it!
Ursula begins to weave a dark spell to drag Mickey deeper into the nightmare.
Ursula: Beluga sevruga
Come winds of the Caspian Sea!

Ursula laughs maniacally once again as Mickey gets dragged off screen, wailing all the while. He ends up submerged in dark water. As he heads to the surface, fish are seen swimming past him, only to dart off as a huge eye opens. Monstro, the whale from Pinocchio, surfaces and begins to chase Mickey. Eventually his jaws open up and swallow Mickey. He swims to the surface and grabs onto a giant book as the current washes him away.
Mickey: Help! Woah!
Mickey gets pulled into a whirlpool that spins him around, a least until the whirlpool shrinks into nothingness. Mickey appears on the stage with lone spotlight shining on him. Unbeknownst to him, a tall thin figure sneaks out of the shadows.
Mickey: Wow, that was a close one! I didn't think that my dreams could conjure up such horrible visions!
The figure reveals himself fully, suddenly and sharply addressing Mickey in a way that startles the mouse. The song "Friends on the Other Side" begins to play.
Dr. Facilier: Don't you disrespect me, little man!
Don't you derogate or deride!
(Singing) You're in my World Now, not Your World,
And I've got Friends on the Other Side!🎶
The mist screen rises up as Voodoo masks suddenly appear from nowhere.
Masks: He's got Friends on the Other Side...🎶
Mickey suddenly gets flung into Facilier's shop. Dr. Facilier's shadow ties him to a chair while Dr. Facilier approaches him with a talisman, turning the skull symbol on his hat into a face mask in the process. Shadow Monsters get projected onto the island while people in voodoo doll costumes dance on stage.
Dr. Facilier: Are You Ready?🎶
Masks: Are You Ready?🎶
Dr. Facilier: Are You Ready?
Transformation Central!🎶
Masks: Transformation Central!🎶
Dr. Facilier: Reformation Central!🎶

He casts a spell that causes Mickey to start shrinking.

You can Blame my Friends on the Other Side!🎶
Dr. Facilier and his shadow dance and laugh maniacally as Mickey shrinks and the scene ends.
Masks: You got what you wanted,
But you lost what you had!
Dr. Facilier blows out the candle, leaving Mickey alone in the shadows (Facilier's skull mask lingers for a couple of seconds), but the darkness fades, revealing Mickey to be in a barren chasm.
?: Life's not fair, is it?
A large paw slams down on Mickey, grabbing him by the tail. The song "Be Prepared" begins to play as Mickey meets his new foe face to face.
Scar: You see, you were once strutting about like you were a king, and now, you shall never see the light of another day. If I were you, I'd quiver with fear!
Scar tosses Mickey onto the ground, then rises up majestically.
Scar: Trust me, what we have planned, it's to die for!
Performers dressed as hyenas suddenly appear on the island. The song goes into full blast.
Hyenas: It's Great that We'll soon be Connected,
With a King who'll be All-Time Adored!🎶
Scar: Of course, quid pro quo, you're expected,
To take certain duties on board!
(Singing) The Future is Littered with Prizes,
And Though I'm the Main Addressee,
The Point that I must Emphasize is:🎶
(Shouting) YOU WON'T GET A SNIFF WITHOUT ME!
Scar suddenly leaps onto a rock that emerges from the ground as the song reaches it's climax. The rock grows large enough for him to be in front of the moon.
Scar: So Prepare for the Coup of the Century,
Be Prepared, for the Murkiest Scam!
Meticulous Planning,
Tenacity Spanning,
Decades of Denial,

The hyenas dance around fire and bones as the song ends. The water screen shows Mickey falling down a hole that opens up under his feet.
Scar and Hyenas: Yes, our Teeth and Ambitions are Bared,

Scar and the hyenas are heard laughing as the song ends. We rejoin Mickey, tumbling into the darkness before enduring a hard landing. Mickey takes a look at his surroundings and notices that he is in the middle of a sandy desert at night. Suddenly a cloud of red smoke bursts forth, from which our hero's next opponent emerges: the nefarious Jafar!
Jafar: It's time to say goodbye to Mickey!
The Cave of Wonders suddenly appears on the water screen.
Jafar: Enter the Cave of Wonders!
Mickey is shown riding on a carpet while dodging lava, rocks, and sudden cliffs.
Mickey: Oh! Oh, whoa. Oh gosh! Look out, look out! Oh! Whoa! Help!
The lava pours on top of a huge pile of treasure. Mickey falls off of the carpet as fire rises up around him. He sees Jafar walk through the flames unscathed.
Jafar: And now you'll see how s-s-snake-like I can be!
Jafar begins to transform as he says this, and when the water screen drops, we see the full, horrible sight. Jafar has changed into a huge cobra, rearing his head far over the stage. His body is coiled around the edge of the island, which has flowing lava projected on the back. His eyes light up like Kaa's, and he begins looking for Mickey, who keeps darting away, only to be trapped and cornered wherever he goes. Eventually he sees a familiar object resting on a rock.
Mickey: Oh look, the magic lamp! Maybe if I just rub it and wish...
The water screen comes back up, showing the lamp turning pitch black and turning Jafar into a huge red genie.
Mickey: Oh no!
Jafar: Power! Mickey's universe is mine to command! To control!
Among the comets Jafar flings around, one forms into the Greek god Hades.
Hades: Hades rules!
The hot headed god fumes and snarls briefly, before managing to calm himself down.
Hades: Ok, fine, fine, I'm cool, fine.
Hades sits down on his throne to think.
Hades: So, Mickey's thoughts are oh so noble! Oh, you'll love this one more thing!
Hades chuckles softly as everything fades away except for his eyes, which quickly morph into yellow slits, with one having a dot in the centre. The Tokyo Disney Sea mix of "Night on Bald Mountain" begins to play as the monstrous demon Chernabog reveals himself. The dot turns out to be Mickey Mouse, who panics and darts from one eye to the other. Timed to the music, Chernabog unfurls his wings and summons the souls of the wicked to appear before him. Part of the chorus of "Hellfire" can be heard briefly before a return to the main theme. While the ghosts and demons dance and fly in front of Chernabog, a different monster from Disney films can be seen for a couple of seconds, like the aforementioned Monstro, the Hydra from Hercules, Sabor from Tarzan, the Headless Horseman, the Tyrannosaurus rex from Fantasia, and the Firebird from Fantasia 2000. Chernabog spreads his wings and flings fire around as "Hellfire" begins to play again. Spirits wail and fly into the camera as the music intensifies and Chernabog glowers at the viewers. Mickey gets backed into the Magic Mirror as Chernabog approaches menacingly. Mickey panics and jumps through the mirror, breaking it in the process. The water screen drops to show Mickey on the stage with one more villain.
Maleficent: Now you will deal with me,
And all the powers of my imagination!
Mickey: Oh no!
Mickey screams and ducks out of the way as Maleficent launches a fire ball at him. Maleficent begins to rise as she cackles loudly.
The water screen shows Maleficent casting a dark spell that makes thorns sprout all over the place. Immediately after, the wicked fairy is shown bursting into a pillar of flame as she changes form. Maleficent soon appears as a monstrous dragon that snarls and spits fire. The Evil Queen appears again to taunt Mickey.
Queen: (laughs) Imagination! Ah, ha ha ha!
Ursula, Dr. Facilier, Scar, Jafar, Hades, and Chernabog also appear one at a time to laugh at Mickey and taunt him. After Chernabog appears, the water screen drops, with nothing visible but a pair of glowing eyes. The lights gradually reveal Mickey cowering before a massive Animatronic dragon. Maleficent is heard cackling again, before she roars and spits out a jet of fire that ignites the river, with projection mapping making the island itself look like a blazing forest of thorns. In the face of overwhelming odds, Mickey manages to pluck up his courage as Maleficent growls and looks down at him, her eyes narrowing.
Mickey: Y-You may think you're so powerful, heh heh.
Well, uh, this is my dream!
The music from Walt Disney World plays as Mickey marches towards the water and sends up colourful water jets in front of Maleficent. She breathes out another fireball to try and dispel the water jets in front of her, but to no avail. Meanwhile Mickey summons more water jets on the left, and heads to the other side. Maleficent slams her tail onto the ground to crush Mickey, but he manages to dodge it, after which he calls forth yet more jets on the right. He walks up to a sword embedded in a nearby stone, which he pulls out before calling upon his magic to make a wall of water jets surround Maleficent, extinguishing both the real and projected fire. Maleficent's eyes widen as Mickey points his sword at the dragon, with fireworks shooting out of it and the Fantasmic theme playing triumphantly. Lasers and projected sparkles shine on and around Maleficent as Mickey casts his spell. Maleficent begins to scream in horror and pain as sparks and projected lightning dance across her body. The dragon rears her head and breathes one last jet of fire defiantly. The water screen pops up again, showing the villains being destroyed.
Chernabog: (growls and moans)
Hades: Ooh! Ow! Ick! Ah!
Jafar: AAAH! ARGH!
Scar: (snarls in disbelief)
Dr. Facilier: No! NO!
Ursula: (wails loudly)
The Evil Queen is shown gasping in shock, before wailing as she turns into her true form and vanishes. Maleficent is shown one last time, screaming as she falls off of a cliff and spirals around before exploding in a burst of fireworks. Initially everything is dark. Once again, a few notes of the Sorcerer's Apprentice can be heard. Tinker Bell flies in and spreads pixie dust all over the place. Once she casts a spell, the island suddenly erupts in a spectacle of lights and sprinkles.

And Chase that Bolt Across the Blue, Blue Sky,
Suspended in Time, It's Magic We'll Find!🎶
The Fantasmic theme begins to play as Steamboat Willie emerges from behind the right side of the island. In a burst of fireworks, Mickey appears in his classic cartoon garb, using the steering wheel. Various friends and heroes appear on the decks of the boat waving streamers around.

The boat continues over to the left as lasers, fire, and water jets dance all over the place. Projection effects make colours and characters pop up all over the island.

Mickey suddenly appears at the top of the mountain, in a gold and white version of his Sorcerers outfit. As the Fantasmic theme plays one last time, he makes water jets, lasers and fireworks dance around for an epic finale. Just as the music reaches it's climax, he vanishes from his perch, only to reappear on ground in his normal outfit, where he first popped up. A snippet of the Sorcerer's Apprentice plays softly.
Mickey: Some imagination huh? Ha ha!
In a burst of light and sparks, Mickey Mouse disappears, ending the show.
