Wasteland, 1st pov
It's been a long time since the Venjix attack since the virus took over 37% of the world's technology. I wasn't lucky to get to Corinth in time, so I was in the wasteland for about two weeks until a random dude helped me. He was in a car when he drove by me. I have been with him since. Thing is, after the Venjix attack I didn't remember anything but my dad's name, his motorcycle, and that I had siblings. Weird. I woke up in the wasteland and wondered day and night to find nothing. This dude had a watch that played a lullaby. I realized not soon after, that it was the same as the tune I whistled or hummed for the two weeks I was alone or, was it even two weeks. Time is something I didn't count.
When riding, we both prefer silence, well we never spoke to each other, well only one line 'I hate grinders'. My voice is probably hoarse with the lack of use. Another thing we had similar was that it seems we like leather jackets. I wore a grey tank top, all year long, changed it once in a while but still kept grey.
A few months back I found a motorcycle in perfect condition, ironic as we are in a wasteland. If not a coincidence, the motorcycle was my dad's. God, I miss him, he was the closest to me since my mom died (I think), well closest to me in terms of parents, not siblings. I don't remember them but I knew they loved me, and, they died saving me.
The dude was driving in front of me, while I drove at the back looking for gas. I usually tend to steal gas from the Grinders motorcycles, but sometimes I don't have time to collect as we leave right away after destroying them.
I looked forward and saw that he stopped, I joined him. We needed a refill, he opened the trunk to get the bottle of water, then transferred it to a smaller bottle. He lifted his mask slightly and took a drop. He passed me the bottle which I nodded in appreciation and slammed the trunk shut.
We drove a few miles more before stopping, Dude took out the water and watered the flower growing in the sand. They weren't many beautiful sights to witness anymore; the Venjix had completely obliterated everything and anything (almost) across the whole world. To see something as fragile and beautiful as a flower was a rarity.
We heard something and our heads snapped towards each other and moved towards a dune. We poked out our heads and saw the Grinders looking around confused. The basic rule that is needed for survival, Grinders were stupid.
One ... two ... three.
We shot out and onto the roof of the car. We took them by surprise. I flipped two Grinders over my shoulder and onto the floor. Still holding onto it, I pulled up as hard as I could and the arms came off ... fun. Once we were done he drove off and I stayed to collect any gas they contained, which wasn't much.
I was up the hill of sand looking down at the dude. Our eyes (helmet) met and I motioned my head towards the left which meant I was going to scout. He understood and nodded. I drove off to the left. It was a wasteland, nothing there. As I went further I found an old and abandoned convenience shop, you know like a zombie apocalypse? Yeah, like that. It's cliché because there is going to fight, yay. Not sarcasm.
I parked my motorcycle, hiding it, and went into the store. Guess what, Grinders were waiting. With the helmet still on the fight started. One by one came at me. They are so annoying. One came to punch me, I ducked, punching me again, I ducked. Seriously, it is so much better and fun fighting Dude, we were close on par, but in the end, he would win, always, I only won once.
Once the fight was done, a small portion of the products was intact. Most faded due to the lack of care, but who would take care of them during an apocalypse? I grabbed the gas and water (which wasn't much at all, but still something), some snacks, and left. I stopped before I was fully out the door and looked back inside, there was a grey bag, it was cute. I grabbed it, put the items inside. The Grinders must have come by walking because there was no vehicle to be spotted. Giving up, I mounted my bike and rode off.
Meeting the dude again, he had company. When I showed myself, his company was startled.
"Who are you?" He asked, agitated.
I didn't answer and looked at Dude, 'who's he?'
He didn't answer right away but spoke, "Ziggy."
I looked at Ziggy and asked in disbelief, "the name Ziggy?"
He looked offended and put his hands up, "do you anything against it?"
I raised my hands in mock surrender. Turning my body to Dude again, he gave me an already licked lollipop and I passed him the gas. He went to fill his tank, a little is better than nothing.
"So you are, uh together?" Ziggy asked in a terribly annoying voice. I didn't respond so he continued, "You don't speak much do you? So you're going to Carnith too? You know before you came I was saying -"
He was interrupted by my cold and hoarse voice "Shut up." He shut his mouth and entered the car. I sigh in relief, after all this peace and quiet it had to be ruined. Well, that is to be expected of people.
He entered the car and we drove off on the left of the car, the driver's side. I had a microphone in the car so I would also be able to listen to the radio, but instead, I heard the annoying voice. Turning off the headphones I continued to drive.
I saw motion in my peripheral vision. Looking to my right, he told me to open the hearing. I groaned in. annoyance, he wants me to suffer. Either way, I complied.
"I don't know my name," was what I first heard, got another thing in common then.
"Well, where are you from? I mean who are you then?" Could he get any more annoying?
"I don't know"
"Then do you know her name?"
"I don't know"
"You know if we're going to be partners, I think we should work on our communication. Oh, wait, wait, wait!"
The dude slammed on the break, causing me to stop too. He opened the window looking outside. I followed his gaze and saw a dome. Wow.
"See, Ziggy promises, Ziggy delivers," Ziggy smirked. "Corinth city. Now, we probably want to pull off the road here and just wait till dark."
"We can't stop," Dude and I said.
"What?" Ziggy asked.
"We're running on fumes, the gas she only brought us here," Dude explained, looking at his gage. It was empty, "If I kill the engine now, we might never get started again." He then looked at me, causing Ziggy to also look over. "I assume it's the same for you."
Looking at my gas gauge, I could see that it was the same as dudes. Nodding my head in confirmation Ziggy looked back at Dude.
"No…this is a joke, right?" He looked at me, "He's not serious."
I smirked. He was serious alright. The dude smirked, Ziggy had a terrified expression, Dude sped off, down the dirt towards Corinth, making me smile even more. I followed full speed.
"Ok, stop, time out!" Ziggy yelled desperately through the coms. "we need a reality check! Alright, let me spell this out for you. No one has ever run the barricade into the city during daylight. Understand, No one."
"Well, I'm as close to no one as you're ever going to meet," the Dude said. It was obvious through the done that he was smirking.
I laughed under my breath, it's been so long.
"Uh, you know what? You can just drop me off right here." Ziggy stuck out his head, "Or here, or here, there!" Ziggy stopped laughing and was looking in my direction. "It's the perimeter patrol," His eyes widened, "and they're right on top of us. They're right on top of us." And went back inside.
I looked at the two Grinders and smirked. Slowing down a little I was next to them, well one of them. The Grinder next to me swung his arm and I turned to my left a little more. Going back to the place I originally was I jumped and kicked the grinder on my right side, causing him to crash onto the other one, they broke.
I laughed. Through the coms, I heard the dude laugh too.
"Remind me, uh, never to get on her bad side," Ziggy says.
"Trust me," Dude's voice smirked, "you're already there." Mentally I agreed.
"Ok, uh, close call," Ziggy says in a panic, "But I think we've got enough time to, uh, to turn around and back. Up before we hit the - the Venjix barricade!"
More grinders swarmed the dunes of the barricade and opened fire. The lasers hit my motorcycle and the car, it was hard to control, but I think it was harder to Dude considering it was bigger and taking most hits.
"We can, uh, we can still turn back. We can still turn back!" Ziggy laughed, nervously. Can't he stop talking? I complain to myself.
Once we passed the Grinders, Dude threw another mom out of the window towards the Grinders. I smiled, it was fun watching what you hate to explode.

Corinth city, 3rd pov
Inside the city, the colonel sat at his desk, staring at the picture of his eldest son until someone approached him.
"Colonel, we're picking up an incoming biosignal," the young man said, "outside the dome, sir."
The colonel got up from his chair and walked behind the woman working at the computer, "talk to me Vasquez," he said.
"Two vehicles are driving straight through the middle of the Venjix Barricade," the female soldier said, "Definitely human - two or more bio-fields."
"Which is it?" The colonel asked, "Two or more?"
"The scan must be off, sir," The female shrugged. "It's reading two and a half."
"The colonel nodded and looked at the first man.
"Alert Dr.K," he ordered.

Road to Corinth, 1st pov
I was riding next to the car and heard beeping. "Oh, fuck!" I spoke out loud, though nobody heard.
"What do I do? What do I do?" Ziggy panicked.
"Get down!" The dude shouted, swerving to avoid a blast from the Grinders. Me doing the same. The dude abruptly stopped the car, causing the bomb to fly out the window towards the barricade that had risen.
The bomb destroyed the central barricade. I went first inside Corinth, Dude followed. We entered the walls and finally arrived. Dude parked beside me. I sigh in satisfaction, finally after one year. The satisfaction left when we heard metal behind us. I turned my head around to see a new attack bot that followed us, along with Grinders. I groaned, they are literally like cockroaches.
Just when I was going to walk towards the robots, three people appeared. Wearing red, blue, and yellow shirts. The red must be the leader since he's in the middle.
Suddenly red yelled "Ready!" It took me by surprise.
The others followed, "Ready!"
"RPM, get in gear!"
I was confused, the fuck are they yelling for. I turned to look at Dude and Ziggy with a confused face, though they couldn't see. The dude had a confused or didn't care expression on his face, while Ziggy was excited. When I look back at the three people I find them being morphed into red, blue, and yellow clothes/spandex.
As we were watching the strangers a monster came in front of us three, it was walking slowly. I stood next to the car, in a fighting position ready to defend, but then suddenly yellow came and jumped on top of the car's hood. "Back off," she said and shot a laser at the bot. It dodged and ran off. Yellow turned around and gave a two-finger salute. The two other colors joined and chased the bot.
"now that's what I'm talking about. Go rangers!" Ziggy yelled.
Once it registered in my mind what Ziggy said, I bent down to the window level and stared directly at Ziggy, "wait, what?" It seems as if Dillon also had no idea.
"Rangers," Ziggy stared at us. We gave him no reaction meaning 'what?' "power rangers."
"What are the power rangers?" I ask.
