Cole Macgrath. A Conduit. From the massive incident at Empire City, he has the powers of electricity. Thanks to a man named Kessler, super powers have been revealed, preparing to face the beast itself. All the hardships he had and the heroic deeds he accomplished, Cole showed that he had more humanity than any hero. But when he uses the RFI to defeat the beast, sacrificing everything he has done, how did he end up here? In Hekseville?

Cole scanned the area, as he looked at the city of Hekseville, the people were different, the buildings were different, what's more is the whole town was floating.

he spotted a bunch of tentacle like creatures with red eye like orbs invading the city. The conduit knew what this means, he prepares himself as he launches himself up in the air with his cryo launch ability. With the height he gained he thunder drops onto the nevi, shattering the red orb in its body.

Cole, with quick thinking, swung his amp at three creatures that are called Nevi, one for a hammer like technique, one with an upward slash, and the third as he spun mid air and swung his amp with full force. As he finishes off a couple of nevi, the giant leader appears. Cole Macgrath smirked at this as he took the challenge. His hands crackled with electricity as the Nevi stared at the Conduit.

The people were amazed of the mysterious hero appearing out of nowhere, taking down Nevi with ease with mysterious power.

As the Nevi charged, A girl came out of nowhere, using her gravity kick. When she landed with ease, she stared at the Conduit as she gave a surprised look on her face. The girl had blonde hair, her skin showed a dark tan complexion, her clothing was nothing compared to Cole's. The girl noticed the Nevi recovered as she hit the weak points at ease, she landed next to the conduit as the two readied themselves.

"Your... Kat, aren't you?" "Huh? Cole? Oh my gosh! Is it really you?" Cole and Kat stared at each other as the two turned to one another.

"Wow! It's really you. It's been a while Cole." "Kat... Hold on, before we can talk, let's finish this thing off." The two used their projectiles on the weak points as the giant Nevi suffered maximum damage. Cole and Kat finished it off with Cole using his ionic freeze, freezing the Nevi in place, Kat and Dusty combined their powers as the girl spun like a drill, as she speeds herself up, she finishes it off as the Nevi in ice was shattered.

The two heroes had done the job. Cole stared at the townsfolk, not sure of what they thought of the Conduit.

"Is he a Shifter too?"

"He's got some kind of electric powers coming out of him. Not only that but Ice as well."

"He seems a little intimidating."

Cole stared at the civilians, as he scratched his head wondering how he'd get here.

"Cole!" Kat called out to him as she dashed towards him as she hugged him tight. She laughed in excitement as the Conduit stared at her cute face. Dusty floated towards Cole's shoulder as he nuzzled his cheek that used to have a big scar. Cole ruffled Dusty's forehead, making him purr. The crowd were amazed of their relationship, some confused.

"Hey. I know it's been a long time but… wait a sec, why and how am I talking like this?" Cole asked, his voice was the same but he was talking like Kat and the civilians of this world.

"It seems that your in my universe now. Since your here we should catch up.

Before they head out, a man named Syd has come by as he spots Kat and Cole. sporting a Detective outfit, he walked towards the Conduit to see what's all the commotion.

"Hey Kat, it seems like you got the situation under control." Syd spoke as he took a look at Cole. "So who's this?" "Cole Macgrath." "Nice to meet you. The names Syd. Are you by any chance another Shifter?" "I'm… a Conduit. A super powered being, that's all." Syd stared at the man's hand, electricity conducting from his fingertips.

"A what?"

"He said he's a… Conduit?"

"Never heard of that"

"He's pretty cool for a guy with electric powers."

"That's pretty neat. So you use some kind of electric powers to take on the Nevi eh. Wish I had something like that." Syd said with a laugh. Cole stared at him dully as he shook his head.

"I'm only an accident. I never asked for these powers but..." "it's your responsibility to do what's right with them?" Cole nodded as Syd patted his shoulder.

"I understand. But with that performance your a natural. We can use another hero around." Syd replied, Cole crossed his arms, thinking about the offer.

Kat grabbed Cole's arms as the conduit turned his head to her. "Actually... We should get going, Syd. We got a lot to talk about." She replied as she uses her stasis field to make Cole float as he remembers how her powers worked. Syd stared confusingly as the two were about to head off.

"Oh. Well, it's nice meeting ya, Cole." "Yeah, I guess. Same to you, Syd." As they went off Syd watched as he head off to another direction. Syd scratched the back of his head as he showed his usual cheesy smile

"Wonder how Raven will react to this?"

The two heroes have reached their destination, as they reached to the bottom area, Kat and Cole landed safely as Cole stared at what seems to be her home.

Cole stared at her home. A sewer area that she decided to live in. A lot of drain pipes that lead who knows where, the winds, making each of them hummed. Cole shrugged as he waited for Kat.

"So... What do you think?" Kat asked as Cole blinked for a moment. He wasn't one to complain. Considering living in the rooftops as his home, He smiled at the Shifter as he looked around. "Hey, I'm not one to judge. Seems cozy if you ask me." Cole replied as Kat giggled. "My home is your home. As they say. You know, It's been so long. I mean ever since the competition and that polygon man thing, it was so bizarre. But you know, I'm glad to have met all of you." Kat said as Cole stared at the sky, floating buildings and such.

"The people seem to like you a lot now. Glad everyone sees you as a hero." Cole spoke as Kat nodded. "Hehe. I don't mind the attention, but not the glory of course. Someone has to keep the people safe. Well I got a lot of stories to tell you, hehe. So... Do you think I've gotten stronger?" Kat asked as Cole chuckled, "Definitely. You have a heroic heart in you, I can tell you that." "That makes me real happy, Cole. I'm glad you can tell." As Cole's expression changed, the atmosphere changed.

"Kat. I… I finally stopped the beast." Cole spoke, making Kat turned to him. "That's amazing! How did you do it?" Kat asked, "I had to make a really hard decision. I chose to save humanity by using a RFI sphere, curing everyone, but those who are conduits or chosen to be conduits die. This includes me." Cole explained, Kat turned to him in a shocking expression.

"No… It can't be!" Kat shouted, clenching her fist, Dusty came out as he stared at the two. Cole, not looking at her, stared at his hands.

"Cole, tell me it's not true. Your lying. Your still here. In my universe. There's no way you could… was there any other way?" "I had to do it. It's either that or I joined the beast on his mission. And I couldn't do that, I betray humanity just for selfish reasons. And I can't do that, Not to Zeke. Or anyone else. It was my responsibility you know, and I made a decision to save millions, it was the right thing to do." Cole said as Kat sniffled. The conduit turned to her, as she wiped her tears.

"Cole. Your right. I know you did the right thing. That's what a hero would do. One of these days I might do the same. Who knows. I made a promise that I will protect everyone." Kat said as Cole nodded with a smile.

"Exactly. No need for all this. Especially for someone who's beautiful." Cole said as Kat's face turned red in an instant. "C-Cole!" She hid her face in embarrassment as she tripped herself accidentally as she yelped. Cole stared at her as she crashed onto him, sending both him and herself on the floor.

The two stared eye to eye as Kat was close to him as the conduit blinked for a moment.

The cat nuzzled onto Kat as she smiled.

"Seems Dusty wanted to make sure your ok." Cole said as Kat and Dusty turned to him. "Yeah. I'm glad to have him." The girl spoke as Dusty nuzzled onto Cole's cheek. The Conduit blushed as Kat giggled once more. "Looks like Dusty likes you too, Cole. I guess with what we done, he wants us to be closer." Kat said as Cole smiled. "So it seems." Cole scratched Dusty's chin as the cat purred once more. Kat smiling at the two as she caressed Cole's cheek.

Before Cole could answer why he gave her a nickname, he felt something else was a little off. He activates his radar pulse, revealing another person in front of them.

Another shifter named Raven has appeared as Kat gave a shocking expression, and laughed nervously. Cole stared at her as he blushed in embarrassment. He turned to the other girl as she glared.

The black and red haired girl wore such a revealing outfit, two bronze wristbands, a bronze belt, her pants had cutoffs showing off almost her butt, even her panties, almost. To his surprise the black and red hair girl smiled, shaking her head. "Looks like you'll enjoy your stay, Cole. Even though I just met you." Raven said with her arms crossed, as Kat grabbed a handful of some goodies of Pretzels and other snacks. Cole and Raven watched Kat devour some snacks as Raven shook her head once more.

"Promise to me you'll take care of her too." Raven spoke as Cole turned to her. "Huh?" "You said you love her too. You'll take care of her too... right?" Raven turned to the Conduit, as he blushed in embarrassment again. He nodded as Raven chuckled softly of his blushing face.

"What about you?" Cole asked as Raven turned to him, with a blush. "Wha- I can take care of myself." "I know. I can tell. Your pretty strong too. But you two are so close that your bond is..." "Oh. That's true. You know if it wasn't for her I would still be cold towards others. We would still compete to see who protect the city, But I got a lot to do as both a shifter and a hero." "You know, you're pretty nice than you expected. Even if you try to act tough, snarky and cool, I can tell your really are something else." "Hmph. Sure you can." Cole chuckled at this as she turned to him in confusion.

"What's so funny?" Raven asked as she crossed her arms. "Nothing." Cole added as he crossed his arms also, Raven sees him smirking. "You… of all people. Your teasing me aren't you?" Raven said with a straight face, blushing in embarrassment. Kat was enjoying the two's company, she felt so happy for Raven and Cole to get along. "Don't let something get to you. Just be you, that's all that matters." Cole said as Raven stopped for a moment. Then had a second thought at this. "Huh... Cole, do you want to... live with us?" Raven added as Cole turned to her. "If your willing to. Sure. It's as Kat said before, I don't have nowhere to go." Cole replied as Kat caught the attention. She runs to him as she hugs the Conduit, making Raven stare in shock. "Yeah! That's even better! You can definitely live with us! Dusty really likes you Cole, especially Raven, hehe." Kat added as Raven groaned in embarrassment, making Kat giggle more.

"Kat, seriously don't try to make things complicated." Raven added, "No need to be embarrassed Raven. You took a liking of Cole just like that. I thought you might beat him up, but I know Cole. He can take a hit and way of a better fighter than you." Kat said as Raven rolled her eyes of her childish giggling. Cole smiled at Kat as he took a bite of some snacks.

"Well I seen how you fight Kat. Well, I never seen Raven fight but I assume you both have the same style." Cole asked as Kat smiled at Raven, the black and red haired girl looked the other way, not saying another word. "Figures. You two must be this powerful. Hell with Dusty and the crow... Xii, right? You got a lot of powerful moves." "You sure know a lot. I'm gonna take a wild guess. Are you some kind of expert on techniques?" Raven munched on some pretzels as Cole shrugged, juggling a bunch of small cryo grenades. "I know a thing or two. If your willing." "Oh? you trying to impress us Shifters, Mr. Electric Man?" Both Cole and Raven smirked, making Kat realized what Raven was doing.

"Hey! Don't leave me out of the conversation. Cole~ tell me too, I wanna know also." Kat whined as Cole chuckled, the cryo grenades vanished into thin air. Raven stood next to Kat as the blonde haired girl pouted.

"Ok. You two convinced me. Since I'm living with the two of you, I'll make sure I be on my best behavior." Cole spoke as the Shifters laughed softly, enjoying the Conduit's company. "Your pretty sweet, are you?" Raven teased as Cole smirked at the Black and Red haired shifter, "I'm a gentleman." He said as Raven smirked back. "Well you should take responsibility of what you and Kat did." The girl teased as Cole was off guard. Raven winked at the Conduit, giving him a soft smile.

Cole sat on the floor as he ate some snacks. Kat sat next to the Conduit to the left. Raven sat next to him on the right. The Conduit stared at the night sky, remembering his heroic deeds back at New Maris. Remembering Zeke, and all the people he had saved.

"I hope your doing ok. Zeke." Cole muttered as Kat and Raven turned to him, hearing his saddened voice. Kat laid her head onto his arm. Dusty laid next to Cole and Kat's legs, Raven sat next with Cole, with Xii laying onto Raven's shoulder, next to Cole.

A couple of minutes passed by...

"Raven. Are you ok with me and Kat…" Raven turned to Cole as he and Kat stared at her. "It's fine with me. If Kat trust you, then I don't have to worry." The black and red haired girl spoke staring at the night sky. "I don't want anything to happen to any of you. You have my word." Cole spoke as the Shifters turned to him in surprise. "Cole." Kat replied, surprised. Raven stared at him softly as she leaned onto Cole's shoulder. "Thank you, Cole. That means a lot." Raven said as the three stared at the sky once more.

As they stared at the sky, the three heroes relaxed in bliss. Cole, started to look at Kat and Raven once more as he remembers Trish, Zeke, Kuo, Nix, Laroche, even Kessler, the man who gave him the gift of being a Conduit, everyone he has met, But now knowing his mission at New Maris is done and saving everyone from the plague, he now lives his life in a new world of Hekseville.

An hour has passed, Cole stared at Kat as she looked at Dusty.

"Cole. Raven. If anything happens to me..." Kat spoke as Cole comfort her. "Kat. What ever happens, you can do it. Even if it means..." Cole stopped for a moment as he started to cry. "Hey, Cole. Don't start crying..." Kat spoke as she hugged him as a picture fell out of his pocket. The two stared at the photo of Cole, and another woman with his best friend as his best man.

"Cole, what's this?" Kat asked as Cole pointed the picture. It was at that moment that Cole knew that if she saw the picture, Kat would have felt another type of hurt. But knowing that she trusts him, the Conduit decided to tell the Shifters of how he became a Conduit, the loss of his former lover, Kessler, everything.

"That's... an alternate version of me. Hard to believe that this is the man who started all of the incident, Kessler. In my world he gave me the powers by creating the Ray Sphere. That was his photo of his wedding day, from his timeline. That woman you see is Trish Dailey. The woman I loved. The other guy you see is my best friend, Zeke Jedidiah Dunbar. Became my best man. It's hard to believe that this version of me came from a alternative world." Cole spoke as Kat and Raven looked at the photo. "The tattoo on your arm. The T and D are... oh Cole. I see why they're on there." Kat spoke softly as Cole nodded.

"Trish huh..." Raven muttered softly, "She's really pretty." Kat said, staring like a curious cat, she wanted to know who this Trish woman was and how was she this important in Cole's life.

"Cole. What ever happened to Trish?" Kat asked in curiosity. Raven turned to Cole as he looked at the photo. "Kessler. He left me with a difficult choice. It was either saving the doctors or Trish, saving her would be the selfish thing to do, so I chose to save the doctors. I lost Trish, even I used as much of my power to heal her, her injuries were too much. She was... proud of who I became, using my powers for the greater good. As she succumbed to her injuries, I decided to bury her in the place where the others have been in the blast of the ray sphere." As Cole finished, Raven stared as she had her head down. "How terrible." She muttered in a whimpered matter. "I'm so sorry Cole." "If only... if only I could save both." Kat cried softly, her tears fell onto the ground as she wiped them away. Cole comfort her as she was ready to listen more of his story.

"After I defeated Kessler, there was so much to think about. Why Kessler chose me. He couldn't even fight against the Beast. He only tried to protect his wife, his two daughters. All he could do was run away. Protecting Trish. His Daughters." Cole spoke, Raven stared as she and Kat listened, Raven caught the attention of Cole mentioning the two daughters. "Trish and his daughters... didn't survived. And it devastated him. Couldn't fight against the Beast." The Shifters listened as Cole looked up.

"Not only that, I understood what that meant about me. I ran away from my problems also. My family, College, my job as a bike courier, all I did was run away. That's when I learned that I was done running. I chose to face my problems head on. I mourned enough sure, but I can't change the past. All I could do is move forward." Cole spoke once more, Kat was intrigued by how he grown as a hero. As for Raven...

"Why... Why did that Kessler person do it? His own wife and daughters, killed by that monster, and just went back in time to do all of the things he had done to you. But killing that woman you loved. He didn't had to go that far to kill her like that. All of this he had done to you. You didn't deserve this! He's nothing but a coward!" Raven spoke, raising her voice, almost sounding like she was about to cry. Kat comfort her as Raven gripped her hand into a fist. Cole turned to her. "He never wanted to do it, but he wanted me to be ready." "To go against the Beast." Cole nodded to Kat.

"Like I said... the past is the past, even if he would have time travel back, it'll end the same. Sh*t. I wouldn't be here in Hekseville now if I never have them or met both of you. I know that I never asked for these powers, but I do what's right. Power defines the person who uses it." Cole said as he grabs Raven's hand. "Don't ever forget that." Cole said as Raven almost cried.

the shifter nodded as Kat smiled softly as she petted Dusty, the cat agreeing with the Conduit with a meow. "I see." Raven spoke, looking at his bandages on his fingers, feeling his palm of his hand. "Did he really loved her? Even if it means killing her?" Raven spoke as Cole stared at the photo. "Yeah. All of what he has done. To be honest, he could of fought back, but he only wanted Trish and his daughters safe. For going so far to prepare me, it's a da*n roller coaster ride for me." Cole finished as he conducted small electricity on his fingertips.

Raven was about to ask another question.

"What about this Zeke person?" "My best friend. It was a roller coster ride as well, He was always with me from good to bad. Starting siding with Kessler when he grabbed the Ray Sphere, he wanted powers too when he activated the Ray Sphere. But that failed, the next part he didn't know that Kessler was planning to kill Trish. Even when I blamed him for siding with Kessler, I set him aside from all what had happened. From our final fight, Zeke came back for me. Even from betraying me, he tried saving me from Kessler, during the events with Moya and the Conduits I have battled back at Empire City and throughout to New Maris, he always came through. Like a brother to me. I treated him like Sh*t. Hell I'm glad to have Zeke around to aid after I apologize to him. He was always there to helped me through and through." Cole finished as Raven turned to him once more. "You must had it rough. Everything that has happened during your conflicts." Dusty and Xii stared at the Conduit as he closed his eyes.

"Cole. Thank you for sharing this with us. I see why Trish and Zeke are special to you. And how you grow as a hero. I can believe that this is an alternative version of you by using time travel." Kat said as Cole stared in space, he was about to cry again, covering his face to keep his tears intact, not showing too much for the shifters. The two understand his feelings, his losses, his struggles. As Raven comforted the Conduit, The Gravity Queen's brain clicked. As she hugged him, she started to soothe him with a song.

Kat muttered the words softly in a singing voice as Cole felt his heart race as he turned to Kat. Raven turned to her as she wondered how she sung so beautifully.

"Strange. It feels so familiar." Kat said as she felt her heart race. Cole, Xii and Raven stared at her as Dusty rested about.

"I didn't know you could sing." Cole spoke, causing Kat to blush. "Yeah, who knew?" Kat scratched the back of her head as she thought about the song she had sung.

"Something you remember?" Cole asked, "Just the first part of it. Maybe it'll come back to me if I remember." Kat answered, "Give it a while. We got all the time we have." Raven added as she ate her snack. "Cole. Raven. You two are the best. Thank you." Kat said as Cole smiled. "I want to thank you as well. Both of you. For listening to my feelings. I know I can't go back. But now I'm staying here. No matter where you two are, I'll be there." Cole replied as Kat and Raven smiled at the Conduit. Kat kissed his cheek as she giggled. Raven, to the two heroes surprise, kissed the Conduit's cheek as well.

"Raven!" Kat shouted making her puff in jealousy as Raven smirked. "That was a thank you kiss. Besides you shouldn't be that jealous." Raven said with a smile, Kat sighed and smiled as she and Raven laid onto Cole's shoulder, making the Conduit smiled softly.

Dusty meowed as he laid next to Kat. Xii laid onto Raven's shoulder. Cole exhaled his breath as the group stared at the night sky once again.

Well that's that. So how is it?

Cole: Depends. How do they feel about it?

Kat: That's a good question.

Raven: So is it a one time or what?
