Okay, just as a head's up, the first segment of this is copied from the final chapter of Adroitness and Finesse.

This is just in case people come from looking at Tate no Yuusha x-overs and get confused by what is going on. This is the 5th fanfiction featuring Akari, my semi-SI/OC from the Narutoverse, who has so far visited the Potterverse, Star Warsverse and the MCU, gaining power all the while through her iteration of The Game.

I'd highly recommend you go read them before reading this, though if you want you can ignore that then get confused when Akari mentions things that only she knows about =P

Now, very important fact here, so damn well read it: This is going to be extremely AU. I have never actually watched any Tate no Yuusha beyond the Pope attacking the heroes, and all the stuff about Glass's world and all that confuses me, so I'm going to do what I always do in times of difficulty and ignore it entirely. Instead of that, the waves are going to be a hell of a lot simpler in nature, which will be discovered as the story goes on.

Is this going to piss people off? Almost certainly. Do I give a flying fuck? Fuck no. If I gave a damn what people didn't like about my stories then they probably wouldn't exist as I'd already have been put off of writing fanfiction in favour of crying on the couch pigging out on ice cream because of people saying mean things to me.

Final thing, I'm not gonna bother with suffixes like -sama, -kun, -chan or whatever else, I just can't be bothered. Blame it on the fact that Akari isn't a typical summoned hero and leave it at that if you want, but the simple reason is that I don't want to bother with it.

Well, that's enough word-vomit, on with the pilot chapter!

Chapter 1

"Hm, this could be interesting."

Mumbling quietly to herself, Akari felt inwardly at the thread of...something that was currently binding to her. It wasn't malicious in nature, and it seemed like it was trying to guide her to something. She waved a hand, directly checking to see whether this 'thread' was going to be dangerous and receiving the information that while it could be called dangerous, that was in the same way that a sheet of paper 'could' be dangerous.

With that, she decided to follow the 'thread', and very quickly found a book resting on one of the windows looking out into space. How it got there was a mystery, since there was nobody else on the ship, nor could there be without her knowledge. Her curiosity piqued, she reached out for the book, tapping on it before grasping it and reading the front page, humming as she did so.

'The Four Cardinal Weapons' was the title of the book, and by all accounts, it was a fucking ancient book. It looked like it'd be right at home in one of Asgard's libraries or in one of the Sanctums. Glancing at the back of the book, she noted that there wasn't a blurb, which was pretty odd, but considering how old the book appeared to be, maybe when it was written or where it was written, they didn't use them.

Hopping up on the sill, Akari planted the book on her lap and opened it, reading through the opening pages slowly. She had her Sharingan which she could use, but she didn't simply scan-read the pages, that would make the book far too quick to read and kill some of the enjoyment. No, instead she simply read through those few world-building pages casually, and honestly found herself interested in the story.

Four Heroes who would be summoned to protect a world from waves of enemies, who would be required to learn and train to fight back against countless hordes of monsters, gathering party members and growing with the aid of their legendary weapon. A sword, shield, spear and bow, covering the four basic weapons, or rather, three basic weapons and then a defence instead of a weapon.

Why the shield was referred to as a weapon was odd, since the shield shown was a round shield, not exactly good for attacking. If it was a spike-shield or at least a sharpened shield like the one that the Wakandans gave to Steve, then she'd agree, but a regular round shield would be pretty useless, especially against 'monsters'. It could be used to bash and smack things, sure, but if something like a minotaur or a pack of wolves were to attack, then even landing a hit on them would be utterly useless.

Shrugging, she flipped the pages over, reading leisurely through the pages which talked about the four different heroes, and even a little about the world, a world of dragons and demihumans and monsters and magic, which sounded like a fairly typical fantasy world. As she flipped over the final page, the page about the shield, she found...empty pages. They were all blank, with not even small intents to mark where things had before been written and erased.

Curious, she flipped a few more blank pages, and then felt a feeling she hadn't felt in a very long time. The sensation of someone attempting to summon her. It was a less tenuous connection than when Toki had accidentally summoned her, probably owing to the fact that she had allowed that thread from before to bind to her, but she could still, just as before, crush the connection as easily as waving her hand.

But this event had her curiosity. It was definitely no coincidence that, just as she flipped to empty pages, she got the feeling of being summoned, and that meant it was likely that the contents of the worldbuilding section she had just read would be related to the world that was attempting to summon her. She had already been thinking of visiting another world, so this was possibly the Game deliberately setting up a connection for her. Even if it wasn't, that didn't really matter to her.

Alaria wouldn't be a problem, both as Akari had her fast-travel, so hopping back wouldn't be an issue anyway, but also because they'd decided that they would see other people before deciding to properly tie themselves together, as neither had ever had a proper relationship with another person. Kurama had ended up asking her to return him to Naruto's world because he wanted to try reforming his siblings, something she was totally accepting of, even if it felt so weird not having his presence always there in the back of her mind. There wasn't anything else outstanding she could think of that she needed to do either. So, with her mind set on allowing the summoning to succeed, she released her grasp on her current reality, allowing the summoning to pull her from her position and send her floating into the void.

Almost immediately though, she was met with confusion, as her Game actually popped up with text in front of her eyes.

Warning - Foreign System Intrusion Detected

At the same time, she felt a new presence entering her existence and melding with her. She quickly checked to see if it was malicious or detrimental, and when she saw that the intrusion wasn't malicious or going to cause harm, she allowed it, honestly curious as to what this foreign system intrusion was. After a moment, she found herself floating stationary in a pure white space, with a disgustingly ostentatious golden sword floating in front of her. "Finally, a-"

A soft and androgynous voice began speaking to her, but before it could say much, Akari found herself utterly stunned as she heard another similarly androgynous voice suddenly speak up. "Back off, this is my chosen host, get your own!" Immediately a white orb appeared out of nowhere and crashed into the sword, sending it spinning away into the whiteness. "Sorry about that, had to make sure-"

In the next moment, the golden sword had returned and plunged straight through the white orb, sending the pair flying in the other direction, the sword lodged firmly in the white orb while the pair began arguing viciously. "As the clearly-superior option, she should obviously be my host, you would-be interloper!" The once-calm voice of presumably the sword yelled out, twisting and spinning as it attacked the white orb.

"Clearly superior...judging by your appearance, superior to you means being made out of an incredibly malleable material with a tip wider than the hilt!" The orb retorted, leaving Akari quite considerably confused about just what the flying fuck was going on. Rather than interfere, Akari decided that it was honestly amusing enough to just watch the two go at it, so she conjured up a platform, a comfy chair and a box of popcorn, then sat down to watch the two battle it out.

Or at least, she planned to do so. However, after approximately an hour went by and the two were no closer to deciding who was superior, she decided that she'd had enough. "Alright, both of you, stop." She placed an irresistible command into her final word, halting the pair of them on the spot. "So, sword, you are related to the book, which means that you-" She then pointed at the white orb. "-are some kind of personification of the Game?"

"That's correct, host." "Yep, I'm that." The two said at the same time, and seemed ready to leap at each other again as they spoke right over each other. Holding a hand up, she snapped her fingers, putting a transparent and indestructible wall between the two of them. "Wow, this is incredible, I really got lucky with my host this time around!" The sword said excitedly, though it still couldn't move.

Before the personification of her Game could speak, she pointed at them both. "Alright, so you are both fighting over who gets to be my system, right?" The two weapons both announced their vehement denial that the other system was even worthy of fight them, prompting them to growl at each other. "So, can't you share? I mean, I've already taken the Game to the point of being so overpowered calling me limitless isn't an understatement. So, having another system to work on could actually be pretty enjoyable all things considered."

"That would be nice, but this crime to swords everywhere would want you to follow its own system and not the one that you currently have. Speaking of which, just in case, you might want to personally apply your power level to yourself." Confused for a moment, Akari snapped her fingers, using the power that technically she only had from the Game, and instead bound that power to her own body.

It was the equivalent of taking the ability to see in the dark using night-vision goggles and, instead, making her eyes able to see in the dark. With that, even if one day the Game vanished, she wouldn't suddenly be powerless and probably very screwed. "Hmph, all I require is that my host follows the rules and doesn't cheat by using other weapons as I am the only weapon, and by extension the only system, that my glorious host will ever need."

That prompted the pair to start squabbling again, though this time it wasn't able to devolve into fighting thanks to the fact they were both still blocked by her wall. While they argued, she began to consider things. She didn't actually need the Game anymore, not since she now had the personal power to change the Universe around her with just her own will. She'd lose out on all the convenient benefits she'd unlocked though, which would suck, as it was only the Game operating that empowered them, like her Fast-Travel and her inventory, not that she couldn't replicate them.

And honestly, maybe going around as a 'Cardinal Hero' sounded like it could be fun. She'd still retain her own innate power obviously, but maybe playing things low-key for once could be enjoyable. "Okay, I've got a plan." Her words instantly silenced the squabbling systems. "I will directly encapsulate the Game and contain it within me so I can re-engage it at will, then allow you-" She pointed at the gilded sword. "-to connect with me. Try to remove my innate power though and I will forcibly delete the very concept of your existence from reality. I won't just delete you, I'll delete the very memory and information of your existence. So don't fucking try it."

Suitably threatened, the pair didn't clash when she removed the wall between them. "Host, are you sure about this? You are now certainly powerful enough to disconnect and reconnect to me at will, but you are placing yourself into another system." She merely shrugged, holding her hand out as she prepared to cocoon the personification of her system. "Well, I wish good luck upon my host!"

Smiling, she clenched her hand, a ball of red energy appearing around the personification of her system, which she then took into herself, effectively sealing the Game away from herself. "You don't have to worry about me just ignoring your rules, I'm honestly quite interested in being mostly-normal again and building up from scratch. Oh, and don't try to fuck with the Game either, because you really won't like the consequences." She said with a firm stare at the golden sword, almost daring it to go against her words.

Thankfully, or more accurately intelligently, as the sword merged into her body and began eliciting changes, it did not attempt to go after her soul or after the Game or anything like that. No, instead it went across her body, weakening her from her incomprehensibly high strength and power level, bringing her down so far that if she could get nauseous she'd probably get vertigo.

Eventually, it settled, leaving her at a level that her mind told her was a bit above the strength and speed of an average human. "Alright, the preliminary stat levels have been set, additional abilities have been sealed, all status menus are fully operational, and host-weapon merging is successful. In approximately five seconds we will be emerging at our designated summoning location. Good luck, my host." Grinning, Akari licked her lips, excited to see just what kind of situation she was going to be summoned in.

Whatever it was, she was going to enjoy it to the fullest!

"Fantastic, the summoning was a success!"

Blinking away the bright flash of light that assaulted her eyes, Akari was immediately on-guard. Around her were three others, all of whom were male, and all of whom had one of the other three weapons, a shield, a spear and a bow. They weren't who she was on-guard about. Instead, it was the men and women who were robed and assembled in front of her, one of whom was the one who had spoken. Surprise and fear was in the voices of the other three as they got their bearings, during which time Akari took stock of her situation.

Summoned, presumably by those in front of her, and that made her wary. Toki had summoned her through accidental magic, but these wizards or perhaps mages had done so deliberately, probably owing to some kind of prophecy. Akari glanced around, tipping her gaze upwards and searching for hidden presences, feeling somewhat blind without her Sharingan or her sensing abilities.

Maybe there wasn't anyone hiding in the rafters, but that was unlikely. "Brave heroes, won't you please save our world from pure evil?" Blinking, Akari turned her attention away from the myriad of hiding places above them, instead staring firmly at the man who had just spoken. While the other three all reacted by asking the obvious question, Akari remained silent. "Please, oh brave heroes! Our world is in dire need of saving!"

She tuned out the sob story and instead focused on the small box she could see in the corner of her vision, focusing on it just as she used to when playing The Game.

Level - 1

Health - 130

Mana - 31

Stamina - 61

Attack - 17

Magic - 7

Defence - 10

Magic Defence - 8

Agility - 17

Immediately she could see her stats, her resistances to different damage types, her skills, inventory, level, health, all very standard stats. Differing from The Game, she had an extra bar for SP, which she tentatively tagged as stamina points. Tuning back into the conversation, she did so just as two of the others, the Spear and the Bow Hero, stepped forwards aggressively, asking pointed questions. "I don't think that's a smart idea you two." She spoke up, drawing the attention of everybody in the room. "Right now we're probably all at the same level, which means level one. If these guys have the power to summon us, what kind of level do you think they are?"

She drew scepticism, to which she just shrugged. "I mean, look at your status menu, bottom right of your vision, if you have it that is, might just be something the sword gets?" Very quickly, the other three had their eyes glaze over slightly as they focused on their own menus, to which she faced the magic-casters that summoned them, only to see surprise written all across their faces. "Was I not supposed to point that out? I mean, it's a pretty obvious box all things considered."

The one she dubbed the leader shook his head. "No, it's just that...well, there has never been a female hero summoned before, the four heroes have always been young males, between the ages of 17 and 24. I must ask whether you truly are female, because this is a rather unprecedented change in the script so to speak." Akari rolled her eyes, silently glaring down at her Jonin vest.

It was protective, sure, but it also completely crushed any notion of femininity her chest could give off. "I mean, after 17 years I'm pretty sure I'd know if I had a donger instead of a slit. Why, you want to 'make sure', you dirty pervert?" At the choked noise the leading man let out and the gasps of several of the others, Akari laughed. "Nah, I'm about as female as they get, though if you ask anyone else, they'd probably show the same scepticism, and I'm sure you now know why."

Shrugging, Akari patiently waited for the other three to get over the sudden shock of both having a system, and finding out that they are literally right at the very pinnacle of the weakest possible players. The Spear Hero, a tall blonde who honestly wasn't half-bad on the eyes, scratched his head. "Ehehe, I guess maybe we were a bit too hasty there. Good save!" He said with a thumbs up at her, making her roll her eyes.

"No need to worry oh great heroes, the King himself will see you now, and I can assure you he intends to lavish upon you all great riches and rewards for your actions, both in heeding our call and protecting our great kingdom from the dangers of the waves!" As the man bid them to follow and turned to the doorway behind him, Akari waited, allowing the other heroes to go first.

Pretty much perfectly fitting the brash personality he'd already displayed, the Spear Hero took point, followed by the slightly less confident Bow Hero, then the Shield Hero, who aside from asking the same confused questions as the others, hadn't said a word yet. She took up the rear, observing the robed magic casters as she passed, slightly surprised at the amount of hero-worship present in their eyes, many of whom prostrated themselves before her as though she was some kind of god.

Sure, she literally was, in fact, powerful enough to be a god if she bothered to flex her power, but they didn't know that.

Climbing up a rather substantial set of stairs, Akari amused herself by humming random songs, and eventually, she got a bite.

Probably without even realizing he was doing it, the Bow Hero started humming along. It took him maybe ten seconds to realize he was doing it as he blushed and stopped, refusing to look at her. That immediately told her that he was extraordinarily shy, socially inept and probably hadn't spoken to any girl outside of his family or those that were out of the acceptable range like teachers.

She didn't even remember the name of the song she was humming, it might have been something like 'George's theme' or something, but it made her grin when the Spear Hero laughed and then started humming along, eventually bringing the Bow and Shield Hero into it and effectively starting a karaoke, much to the bafflement of the guys escorting them.

They didn't stay on the same song, and there were some she didn't recognize, just as sometimes the others didn't hum along, likely because they also didn't know it, but for something she did casually for amusement to turn into a pseudo-bonding-session was honestly pretty fun. Their fun didn't last though, as the stairs ended and they were led along a corridor, finally arriving at a pair of doors big enough to fit Kurama through.

The two guards stationed on either side didn't seem too bothered to push them open, though whether that was because of mechanical ingenuity or pure physical strength she didn't know, but it definitely stunned the other three if the noises they made were any indication. She waited until the Spear Hero started leading them in, ambling along at the rear of the group as she observed the room.

Big, ostentatious, lined with guards, a quintessential throne room. At the other end of the large room was a pair of thrones, one of which was empty, and the other was taken up by who she assumed was the King himself. On one side of him was a group of people she assumed were nobility or at least people who held high stations within the kingdom, and on the other were robed figures with the same appearance as the magic casters that had escorted them.

Suppressing a yawn, Akari came to a stop in line with the other three heroes, allowing her eyes to focus on the King as he spoke, his eyes definitely focusing on her for a moment longer than the others. Evidently, the fact that she was female was breaking the script just a little bit. "So, you four are the four Cardinal Heroes of ancient legend. This is the land of Melromarc and I am her King, Aultcray Melromarc the 32nd. Welcome, brave heroes. Please, identify yourselves."

She allowed the other three to go first, curious about the slight hint of anger and impatience when Naofumi, the guy with the shield, introduced himself before her. Maybe he didn't like shields or something. "Well, I'm the last up I guess. Uchiha Akari, 17 years old, Kunoichi of Konoha." She admitted casually, though she took note of the confusion over her words, since Kunoichi wasn't nearly the same as the other three, who admitted to all being students of some kind.

"Wait, Kunoichi of Konoha? You've got to be kidding." Itsuki surprised her by piping up, staring at her in suspicion. She turned her gaze onto him, raising an eyebrow as he looked her body up and down. "Konoha is from an anime, so you're obviously just a cosplayer trying to look cool. Besides, Konoha shinobi have green vests, not red." Smirking, Akari felt the disapproval from the sword that was stuck in her hand as she, just for a moment, forcibly activated her Sharingan, staring him down as he blanched. "U-Uchiha..." He stuttered out, almost raising his bow towards her.

Deactivating her Sharingan, she mentally apologized to her sword, feeling the radiating disapproval dissipate. She didn't plan to break things too much, mostly because starting from scratch sounded like it'd be kinda fun, but proving her point wasn't going too far, at least for her. "As I said, Uchiha Akari, Kunoichi of Konoha. Hiruzen himself gave me a special allowance for the colour change of my vest. Though I don't think I can actually use any of my Jutsus, my sword already felt like it wanted to blind me for that little stunt of breaking the rules."

Turning her attention back to the King, she felt Itsuki and the other two watch her for a moment longer before following her head, right as Aultcray cleared his throat. "Yes, well, it seems this summoning is definitely not a simple one. Never before has a female hero been summoned, nor one that is recognized in some manner by another hero. Nevertheless, you are all here now."

With that out of the way, Aultcray went through the rather boring process of explaining things to them. She would normally have tuned it out, but since it was all pertinent information related to the 'waves' and what had to be done to stop them, she listened to his words and committed them to memory. There was an amusing moment when he told them to check their statuses and found that she had already discovered it and notified them, taking the wind from his sails.

At the very least, while they were definitely arrogant, enjoying being called legendary heroes and all that, the other three didn't say anything too extreme. Perhaps her warning them that they were all level one had pointed out how weak they were. Motoyasu still remarked about rewards and got a fairly flimsy agreement that once the waves had been dealt with, they'd be lavished with rewards for saving their world.

That honestly sounded very dubious to her. "So, what you're saying is that once we've done all this hard work for you, you 'promise' you'll give us a reward commensurate to our efforts? That sounds like hogwash, no offence. I'd rather not do a bunch of work only to get stiffed at the end, there's a reason Konoha hold the payment from the client before accepting the job." While she didn't actually care about the reward, she did care about seeing how the King and the advisor that had spoken reacted.

"Worry not, as heroes of legendary weapons capable of growing and empowering you, your best bet for saving our world is to be allowed to grow freely. To that end we are willing to support you with weapons, armour, support items and currency, as well as companions who can aid you in levelling and acquiring strength." The advisor said calmly, his words placating her.

If they were willing to actually do so, then that sounded reasonable enough to her. "Companions, huh? That could be annoying." She muttered quietly to herself. It wasn't that she was arrogant, she was literally level one right now, it was just that she wasn't very good at dealing with other people, at least insofar as to work with them in a fight. Most of her fights were either her on her own against many, or her protecting someone whilst going against many. There wasn't much room for others to get involved.

However, because she was now down to level one, maybe companions would be necessary. It'd be like a genin team, except instead of a Jonin and three Genin, she would be the equivalent of a Genin being risen up to high levels by a group of Jonin. More like power-levelling than anything else. "Alright then, if these companions are strong enough to be worth bothering with, I'll accept them. But if they aren't even worth the armour resting on their shoulders, I WILL leave them behind."

Receiving a nod from the King, Akari stepped back slightly, indicating that she was finished speaking. After receiving more pertinent information, such as the weapons repelling one another and stifling their growth, and being told to stay in the castle and depart on the next day, one of the women at the side of the room stepped forwards. "Please heroes, we have rooms prepared for you. Right this way." She indicated a door at the side of the room with her hand.

Glancing at the King for a moment, Akari shrugged and walked towards the door, being quickly followed by the other three. "So, what was all that about?" Akari turned her head to look at Motoyasu, who was looking between Itsuki and her in confusion. "I mean, all that stuff about you being a cosplayer or whatever? And that eye thingie, I've never seen that before, but it was pretty cool."

Sighing, she turned away, leaving Itsuki to explain. "So, if this is real, then that means Akari over there is actually from an anime. At first, I didn't think it could be true, but think about it. We are in a fantasy world with status magic and legendary weapons. If this is real, then couldn't fictional worlds actually be real worlds as well? Hey, if you really are from Konoha, does that mean you know who Kurama is?"

Hearing the name of her long-time companion, Akari laughed. "Yeah, I know who Kurama is. He's the nine-tailed fox, though I guess right now you'd call him the ten-tails instead after what happened." She glanced back to see Itsuki looking rather constipated, rolling her eyes. "Because of certain events, Kurama ended up merging with the remains of an Otsutsuki and the other tailed beasts, subduing the remains and becoming the ten-tails. Last I heard, he was trying to find a way to reform his siblings."

Shrugging nonchalantly, she turned her attention back to the woman leading them through the castle. Nothing she said really mattered, and it was all true, if somewhat misleading. Nowhere did she mention that, instead of Naruto, it was her that held him, nor that she already knew that the Narutoverse was a fictional creation. There was a chance that the world she was currently in was fictional as well, since she certainly hadn't known beforehand that the Narutoverse and Potterverse were both fictional, maybe Melromarc and the Four Cardinal Heroes were a fictional creation as well. Whatever the case was, she was there and living it, so she wouldn't bother herself with needless philosophy.

After all, even if she was fictional, she got to live her life in the way she wanted to, so what did it matter if she first existed as words on a screen? People initially only existed as semen and egg, and from that they grew. So if she started out as words, did it matter? She was who she was, and that was all that mattered to her. Maybe Itsuki would wrap his mind into an existential crisis, but for Akari, she didn't see the need.

Pushing those thoughts away, she watched as the woman opened a door and led them inside a room lavishly furnished, with an assortment of food on the table and comfy chairs that would be fancy even in modern times. Immediately claiming one, Akari leapt onto it, putting her knees over one arm and resting her head on the other, her eyes daring the others to claim her chair.

When they didn't, she set about figuring out the limitations of her sword. She couldn't let go of it, when she attempted to, it dropped to the floor and then appeared back in her hand a moment later, giving her a mild electric shock as a 'punishment', alongside a pop-up that informed her that she couldn't abandon the Legendary Sword. Next, she rested it on her lap, to which the sword remained laying there. It wasn't making contact with her skin, and yet it still regarded itself as being in her possession.

Humming, she put her hand against the handle without grasping it and then lifted her hand whilst directing the sword to stay in contact with her hand, and was only mildly surprised when it stayed adhered to her palm. Itsuki, probably having figured out what she was doing, swung his bow around to his back, and on his first try managed to make it stick to his back, prompting her to raise an eyebrow at him. "It's like a game, and in games, characters can usually put their weapons on their backs like they were hovering there." He explained sheepishly, rubbing his head.

She then watched as Motoyasu copied Itsuki, placing the spear so the point rose over his left shoulder, leaving it easy to grab and draw. Naofumi was the unlucky one, he couldn't even remove his shield from his arm, it was stuck there. He could slide it around, but it refused to come off his arm. Interestingly enough, it was stuck on his right arm, not his left, which prompted her to realize a fairly detrimental fact.

"Hey, Naofumi?" He looked at her. "Are you right-handed?" Slightly confused, he nodded. "Alright, so just like how my sword, Motoyasu's spear and Itsuki's bow appeared in their main hand, your shield is on your main arm, but you can't switch sides, can you?" Confused, he attempted to do so, only to find he couldn't. "Right...that's going to suck for you then."

When he questioningly looked up from fiddling with his shield, she sighed. "Our weapons, the best way to look at them is like a jealous partner. I'm not allowed to use any weapon except this sword-" She waved the blade around casually. "-and as the King mentioned, it's the same for all of us. So, what do you think your shield will do if you try to pick up a sword and swing it?"

As she spoke, she got up and placed her sword against her back, sticking it there. Then, she picked up the seat she was sat on. "Right now, I consider this as just moving a chair. But, the instant I consider using the as a weapon to attack you three with-" Immediately her hands jerked as the sword reacted, forcing her to let go and shake her hands off. "-my sword acts to stop me using any weapon except the Legendary Sword."

Naofumi found himself the center of all their attention as he stared at Akari's reddened hands, her punishment for trying to use a different weapon. "You've got to be kidding me." Rather than retort, she gestured at the chair he was sat on. He hopped up and lifted the chair, then, just as he moved, he suddenly jerked, almost throwing the chair as he cursed and shook his hands off. "What the hell?! That's bullshit, what am I meant to do now then?"

"I'd guess you are going to have to rely on party members to fight for you, and during the waves, we have to do damage while you pull aggro." While they were speaking, the other two took turns lifting the chair Akari had discarded, both of them discovering that they too couldn't wield any other weapon aside from their Legendary Weapons, even if said weapon was literally just a chair. "Fun fact, we can't even use things like rocks as a distraction, because they can be considered weapons. So don't throw anything at anyone or even feign an attack, not even throwing grapes at each other. Like I said, jealous partners."

Sitting back down, she crossed her legs and planted her chin on one hand. "But hey, in return, we have weapons that will help us grow at a substantially increased rate compared to normal people. Sure, right now our weapons are literally not worth their weight in scrap metal compared to others, but they have the innate potential to grow, which makes them kind of like soul-bound weapons that grow with the user, right?" Naofumi tried to bring up the bright side of things, but it was obvious that right now, they were being shafted by their restrictions.

She was left out slightly as the other three then realized they were all actually from different alternate version of Japan, for obvious reasons. They didn't know that she was also from Earth, and she saw absolutely no reason to complicate the narrative. Right now, she was from Konoha, and that worked for her, even if it was amusing watching them squabble over who was on different yen bills or who the Prime Minister was.

"Well, I'm going to turn in for the night. I don't want to get too annoyed and run a sword through the door!" She yelled out with her head turned towards the door, smirking as she heard sudden and loud footsteps running away. "I'd highly recommend you not get too comfortable. We four are the hottest of hot commodities right now, and they are going to want to find out as much about us as they possibly can. Now, if you'll excuse me."

Waving her fingers, Akari got up from her chair and walked to one of the four doors that supposedly led to their bedrooms. With a glance at the other three, she shut the door, then just in case one of them wanted to 'accidentally' stumble into her room she used a dresser to block the handle. It wasn't that she was against the idea, especially after she and Alaria had decided it'd be best to have relationships with other people before deciding if they were really a good pair together, and, being entirely honest with herself all three other heroes were definitely hot enough to bang even if their size was small, but if she ended up in bed with one or more of them on literally her first night there, they might think she was a slut or something, and that'd be fucking annoying to deal with.

She forcibly turned her thoughts away from that, leaping onto the bed gleefully. Thanks to her removal of the system, while her powers were attached to her body, none of the bonuses that the Game had attached to her were in effect. That meant she needed food, water, rest and all those other normal things that people needed. Idly, she wondered whether or not those changes had changed her sex drive, considering she'd managed to go literally decades without having sex to seemingly no detriment and yet now, with three hot guys at hand, she was thinking about sex more than she had ever since she'd gotten her game. Not that she was very sexually inclined before she had died, but even then, she'd had sex at least a few times a year, despite her situation.

A bombed-out warzone wasn't really supportive of casual hookups after all.

So yeah...

Okay, I can already see people asking why TF she would even bother going along with this, and the fact is that she's bored. Just generic killing is boring to her now, and she isn't exactly creative, so making her own entertainment is hard. Rather than try and likely fail, she gets a new world, a new and reset system, as well as an insurance policy.

At any time she can say "Fuck all this" and just do whatever the fuck she wants, much like how in some games at any time you can use cheat codes to get everything. But that makes the game into a different experience and some people prefer the normal experience, which is kind of what Akari is going through right now, deliberately not using her 'cheat-code' to break the 'game'.

Sorry if this pisses people off, either for the way this happened or because I chose this Universe rather than the one people voted for, but I thought of this and just decided I really wanted to do it. Maybe people will be upset about the fact she isn't just curbstomping everything, but rest assured she isn't going to allow herself to be a pushover.

And again, sorry if her sudden interest in sex is bad, but, well...I really like Motoyasu. Not from a personality perspective, I'd punch the shit out of him if I got the chance, but just from an appearance-based standpoint I think he's really hot, and I might have let that influence things, then worked around it by coming up with a reason for her sex drive being the equivalent of a dead fish for such a long time.

But whatever, if people don't like it, tough =P
