A/N: I had gotten the idea to do this story a long while ago to have Sonic the Hedgehog (2020 version), team up with my all-time favorite Marvel superheroes, Spider-Man! Plus, there aren't very many good Spider-Man team ups in comic books, cartoons, or fanfiction with heroes outside the Marvel universe. So I figure this may be the closest thing anyone might get to an actual crossover team up. Now, I'm gonna get some things out of the way here... this takes place in the Playstation Spider-Man universe, and after the events of "Spider-Man" (PS5 Remastered Edition), and the recently released "Spider-Man: Miles Morales", and after the events of the Sonic the Hedgehog movie. So, now that all that's out of the way... let's get it started in here! Enjoy!

Green Hills, Montana

Usually 4:40 AM is when everybody would still be asleep or getting ready for work and school. But for Tom and Maddie Wachowski, it was time for them to get up early to catch their flight to New York City. This time though, their yearly vacation was going to be different since they were bringing along their recently adopted alien hedgehog son Sonic with them. They had just taken their showers and donned some casual comfortable clothing for their flight, and had also eaten a quick cream-cheese bagel so they would be good on food until they landed in Chicago for their layover.

"So, is that everything?" Tom asked after setting his suitcase down right next to Maddie's on the kitchen floor as she finished her bagel and licked the frosting off her fingertips.

"Should be. But we still gotta wake the blue devil upstairs" Maddie replied, her index finger pointing up at the ceiling. Tom then gasped and looked up before looking back at his wife.

"Oh shoot! I totally forgot we have to wake Sonic up!" Tom said before walking over to the attic ladder and going up into his adopted son's bedroom. Once inside, he saw Sonic still sleeping soundly in his racecar bed while the ceiling lights wrapped around the support beams of the ceiling emitted a dimly-lit glow down upon him while he slept. Tom couldn't help but smile at the sight of his son looking so peaceful in his sleep, it really made him think how much joy Sonic had brought to him and his life ever since he first appeared in his garage.

"Hate to do this to him, but... we do have a plane to catch" said Tom to himself before sitting at the edge of his son's bed and nudging his shoulder gently to awaken him from his slumber.

"Nnngg, go away" Sonic said as he shifted to the other side and pulled the blanket over his head.

"Wakey wakey, blue blur. Today's the big day" said Tom, which made Sonic spring up in bed and stare at his adopted father with wide eyes of enthusiasm and excitement.

"You mean we're going to New York City!?" Sonic asked, to which Tom replied with a nod and a tilt of his head to the side. Sonic began running all around the house, and within the blink of an eye, Sonic was now facing Tom wearing a pair of black spandex athletic pants, his favorite red sneakers, light gray socks that went up to below his knees, and an oversized dark red fleece hoodie. Sonic also had a Green Hills Sheriff's Department cap on his head to help complete the look.

"I'm ready, Donut Lord!" Sonic cheerfully declared.

"Are you sure? Tom asked. Sonic only nodded like a hyperactive child (which he was).

"Brush your teeth" asked Tom.

"Front to back" Sonic replied.

"Shower?" Tom added.

"Twice" the hedgehog responded.

"Have breakfast?" Tom asked.

"Two bagels and four strips of Pretzel Lady's delicious bacon" replied Sonic as he licked his lips as he thought about how delicious Maddie's bacon was. He would argue nobody made bacon better than his mom did.

"Did you pee?" asked Tom, causing Sonic to let out a loud annoyed groan.

"Yes, Tom! I made sure to go to the bathroom" Sonic replied.

"And lastly... did you pack everything?" asked Tom.

"Yes. Toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, body wash, spare clothes... yeah that's pretty much it" Sonic said while holding up his sun-bleached backpack which contained all the essentials he needed for their family vacation to New York City.

"Alright then, guess we're ready to go" Tom said before walking back down the stairs with Sonic following closely behind him. The two then arrived in the kitchen and saw Maddie at the front door carrying her suitcase as well as Tom's to their truck.

"There are my two favorite guys. And I see our little blue devil's all ready to go!" Maddie said.

"Are you kidding me? I've been wanting to cross "Family Vacation" off my bucket list since I first moved in!" Sonic excitedly told his mother, which made her laugh lightly at his response.

"Well, alright then. Let's go, you two. We gotta be at the airport by five or the plane's gonna take off without us" Maddie told them.

"Ain't gotta tell me twice. Let's get moving" Tom said before walking over to Maddie and taking both suitcases out her hand, carrying them for her to the trunk of their new car while Sonic took his new adopted mother's hand and walked alongside her to their Ford Fiesta. The family of three then had a nice quiet drive to the airport while listening to some relaxing instrumental hip-hop beats on the radio.

Chicago, Illinois

The plane had just landed in Chichago for the Wachowski family's two hour layover. Tom carried Sonic in his arms, who was sleeping peacefully fifteen minutes after the plane took off from Green Hills Airport, while Maddie carried the one bag they were allowed to take aboard the plane with them. Once off the flight, they went over to the food court to grab something to eat while they waited to board their next plane to New York.

"Hey, what time is it exactly?" asked Tom.

"Eleven Twenty-four. Why?" Maddie replied.

"I figure as long as we're here, we should get some lunch. Especially for this one" Tom answered, referring to his sleeping son in his arms.

"I'll go wait in line at the McDonald's, you can wake the kid up and find the restrooms" Maddie told him. Once she left to go get the food, Tom shook Sonic in his arms to get him to wake up.

"Rise and shine, bud" Tom gently said.

"Huh, wha? Are we in New York already? Was I asleep the entire flight?" Sonic groggily said.

"Nah, we're just in Chicago. We're gonna have to wait for a few hours before we get onto another plane that'll take us to the JFK International, and then we'll be in New York City" Tom explained.

"Oh, alright. Where's Maddie?" asked Sonic.

"She went over to get some food. In the meantime, we're gonna use the bathroom until it's ready" said Tom.

"May as well then" replied Sonic. The two then went to the restroom and did their business before meeting Maddie back at the airport food court. Maddie had ordered a happy meal for Sonic, a quarter pounder with fries and coke for Tom, and a two cheeseburger meal for herself along with a Dr. Pepper.

"So what are we gonna do when we first get to New York? See the Statue of Liberty? Take a selfie on the top of the Empire State Building? Ice skating at Rockefeller Center?" Sonic excitedly asked.

"Woah there, buddy. Slow down, we're gonna be able to do all those things when we get there" Tom gently told Sonic with a chuckle in between his words.

"Maybe not the ice skating part because it's no longer Christmas and they've probably melted the ice by now. But we can still visit" Maddie said.

"Aww" Sonic said sadly, that was the one thing he was looking forward to the most.

"But first we gotta check into our hotel and drop off our bags. We don't wanna just haul luggage all around New York City the whole night" Tom added. Maddie then looked up at a large TV screen attached to a metal support beam to see a news report. On the screen there was a man in a red and blue spandex suit with a white spider symbol on the front and back of the uniform, as well as white hard plastic on his fists, and on the feet fighting a gigantic man dressed in a metallic suit meant to resemble that of a rhinoceros.

"Hey, look" Maddie said to her husband and son before pointing up at the TV. Sonic and Tom then turned their attention to the fight happening before them, and watched in awe. The gigantic man tossed a police car at the man in red and blue spandex before it was caught by the roof and placed back on it's wheels before shooting white-silvery ropes from his wrists and launching himself into the larger man's face and send him falling backwards.

"Woah! Who is that?" Sonic said with big sparkly eyes and jaw agape in complete and utter awe. Maddie and Tom smirked before she answered her son's question.

"That, dear Sonic... is Spider-Man" she said. Sonic's eyes were still glued to the screen while he watched the fight continue.

"Spider-Man" Sonic said in a gasping-like tone of voice. The blue hedgehog continued to watch Spider-Man as he was now right on top of the larger man's head and began punching him repeatedly in the eye until he threw Spider-Man right off his back.

"Whew, glad he's got that super-human agility or else that throw would have killed him" Tom said while he watched the fight alongside his son. The three of them then watched as Spider-Man was tinkering with something attached to his wrists before he began hopping from the rooftops of each car in front of him to get to the much larger man. Once Spider-Man got close enough, he shot two ropes of webbing at the man and once they made contact with the pectoral plates on his chest armor, electricity began to emit from where they came from and caused him to scream in pain before falling backwards and losing consciousness.

"Did you see that!? The ground shook when he fell down! And Spider-Man's also got zappy webs too! He was firing them at him and was all BZZT! BZZT! BZZT! And then when they hit him they were all like, ZAP! It was awesome!" Sonic said as he stood up in his chair and began making the hand gestures Spider-Man made whenever he shot his webs out of his wrists.

"Looks like somebody just became a fanboy" Maddie said to Tom while Sonic was too caught up in going on about how awesome Spider-Man was and how incredible it was to watch him fight.

"Hey, most kids his age are into superheroes and all that comic book stuff. So this is actually pretty normal to me" Tom replied. The video then cut to show a female news anchor wearing a lavender cardigan over a gray shirt with a microphone attached to her collar.

"And thanks to the help of Spider-Man, NYPD have successfully apprehended Aleksei Sytsevich, AKA: The Rhino. Sytsevich had been on the run ever since it was revealed he had been secretly hired by Simon Kreiger, the former R&D of Roxxon Energy whom had almost vaporized all of Harlem with their experimental Nuform reactor that was responsible for the death of several employees, including Richard Mason whom was the genius behind the reactor's design. But now, thanks to Spider-Man, he will be processed back to the RAFT where he will remain without the possibility of parole" she said.

"Oh yeah, that's right. I forgot that happened, can't believe Roxxon had been lying about Nuform making it's own workers sick and killing them all this time" Maddie said.

"Yeah, but it wasn't Spider-Man that stopped them, it was the other Spider-Man. The one who's got that black suit with the red webs and highlights on it" Tom added.

"There's TWO Spider-Men?" asked Sonic excitedly.

"Yeah, but the other guy hasn't been around very long. The Spider-Man you just watched has been around for about eight years" Tom answered. The three then finished eating and began to explore the airport until it was time to board the plane to New York City. After the two hours were up, the Wachowskis boarded their second flight and took their seats. Tom sat in the middle while Maddie sat to his right, and Sonic was on the left right next to the window.

"Tom?" Sonic asked after he had finished buckling his seatbelt.

"Yeah, buddy?" Tom replied.

"Do you think we'll see Spider-Man while we're in New York?" the blue hedgehog asked with hope in his voice that he'd get to meet his new hero in person.

"I say there's a pretty high chance we will" his adopted father answered.

"Do you think I could get a picture with him if we do?" asked Sonic.

"Absolutely. We may have to get in on the action too. It's not everyday you get to meet a superhero" Maddie answered. The cabin then began to slightly shake, and alerting the family of three that the plane was now preparing to take off from the runway and into the sky. Once the flight had taken off, the second half of their family trip had begun towards the Big Apple.

New York City, New York

Tom and Maddie walked through JFK Airport while holding their excited adopted son's hands as they walked over to the baggage claim. Due to the disguise Sonic wore, nobody could see that he wasn't human underneath those clothes, which was a good thing since they didn't need anybody like Dr. Robotnik whom wanted to weaponize the alien hedgehog's extraordinary powers for their own gain hunting him down while they were trying to have a nice family vacation.

"What are we gonna do first? Try and find Spider-Man? See the Statue of Liberty? Take a picture on top of the Empire State Building? Try and find Spider-Man?" asked Sonic with excitement in his voice and eyes as he repeated his list from the first time back in Chicago, only adding that he wanted to meet Spider-Man to it and bumped it up to the very top of his list.

"You said "Try and find Spider-Man" twice" Maddie pointed out.

"Don't worry, we'll get to do everything on all of our lists, kiddo. But we gotta get our stuff and check into our hotel first" Tom reminded him. Just as they were about to walk across the large lobby to the baggage claim area, Maddie had just bumped into a peach-skinned young man who appeared to be in his early twenties with short dark brown hair, black skinny jeans with light gray sneakers, a blue flannel shirt buttoned halfway up over a white tee shirt, and twin gray fitness tracker bracelets on his wrists.

"Oops. Sorry about that, sir" Maddie apologized, worried she had just gotten on somebody's bad side.

"It's all good. It was an accident, no harm, no foul, no bruise" he said with a smile that Maddie knew was genuine.

"Hey, Miles! Wait up!" the young man called out before running over to greet somebody at the bottom of the escalators that lead up to the TSA stations. Maddie then walked over to help Tom and Sonic with their bags when she saw them grabbing their luggage off the conveyor belt in the center of the room.

"Oh there you are" Tom said, greeting his wife.

"Yeah, I kinda bumped into someone by accident and it held me up a bit" Maddie answered as she picked up her own bag.

"Is that everything?" she asked, making sure every single item they took off the belt was present and accounted for.

"Yup, everything's here" Tom replied.

"Oh! Can I call a cab? Please?" Sonic asked while raising his hand up in the air like a child wanting to answer a question asked by a teacher in school.

"Absolutely, kiddo" answered Tom. This resulted in Sonic to cheer "YES!" before running out the door with his super speed and sticking out his arm to the street and waving to a few taxis passing through and coming their way. Tom and Maddie began conversing as they made their way over to their adopted hedgehog son with their bags in hand.

"I don't think I've ever seen him this happy before" Tom said as he looked out at Sonic trying to catch a taxi for all three of them.

"Not even at Christmas? Or at his adoption hearing?" asked Maddie.

"Nope, not even during both those events. This has to be the happiest I've ever seen that little blue rascal" Tom answered.

"You're right, and I don't mean to blow our own horn here, but I feel like we've done a good job making him that way so far" said Maddie.

"You think so?" Tom asked.

"Oh yeah. Especially you, you're such a good father to him" Maddie told her husband.

"Aw, you. I can't take all the credit though. You've been an amazing mother to him too, and I couldn't do this parenting thing without you. Especially since Sonic's not like other kids" Tom told her, which warranted a laugh from her.

"Amen to that. Oh look! Looks like Sonic managed to get us a cab" Maddie said as she pointed over to the taxi that had just pulled up in front of them.

"Donut Lord! Pretzel Lady! Cab's here!" Sonic called out.

"Coming, kiddo!" Tom replied to the young hedgehog. The two then walked over to Sonic and got into the taxi after stowing their luggage away into the trunk of the golden yellow vehicle. After Tom gave the driver the address of their hotel, the taxi drove off down the street and past Times Square. Sonic gasped and pressed his face against the glass of the cab window as he stared at the many beautiful sights the city had to offer in absolute awe.

"Oooh! Times Square! It's so much bigger than it looks in the photos!" Sonic said with starstruck eyes.

"Look! There's a little cart that sells Spider-Man plushies!" Sonic pointed out. Maddie and Tom couldn't help but roll their eyes while smiling at their son's excitement. The sound of the taxi's engine making a low hovering sound caused all four occupants of the vehicle to look up front in concern. The taxi's hood then flung backwards, blinding the view of the driver and cracking the windshield.

"AHHHH!" Everybody screamed. Sonic then looked out the window again and saw several other cars with their hoods up, and yellow bolts of lightning emerged from the engines of every single vehicle on the street.

"What's going on?" Maddie asked the driver, who was still facing forward in fear and his jaw agape, shocked into complete silence. The three Wachowskis got out of the car to see a man hovering in the air summoning the lightning to his palms and his fingertips. The man was caucasian and bald with a scar across his face that resembled five lightning bolts striking across his head. The clothes he wore were a dark green metallic harness with mechanical arm-coverings over a yellow tattered-up long-sleeve shirt and brown jeans that were ripped at the knees with black combat boots.

"Yessss! I can feel the raw power coursing through my veins! Surrender your power to me!" He exclaimed as he absorbed more electrical power from every single vehicle that surrounded him. The jumbotron screens and billboards in Times Square began to glitch and become fuzzy as more electrical energy was absorbed by the man into his harness.

"Who is that!?" Sonic shouted in horror.

"People of New York City! You will bow and beg me for your power back! Worship me like a God for it! For I am, pure energy! I am... ELECTRO!" he exclaimed to the sky before emitting a blast of lightning from his palm up to the sky. From the large beam, several lightning bolts came down and destroyed multiple cars and making them explode as well as catch fire. Sonic then noticed Tom and Maddie were hugging one another, afraid that one of the bolts was going to strike them.

"Mom! Dad!" Sonic shouted as he ran over and knocked them out of the way of a car flying through the air as fire surrounded the frame of the vehicle and landed where they had previously been standing.

"You guys alright?" asked Sonic with a worried tone in his voice, he was so scared he was about to lose his family.

"We're okay, sweetie. Thanks to you" said Maddie told the hedgehog as she stood up and helped her husband back up to his feet. Sonic then looked back up at Electro with narrowed eyes and clenched fists. He was absolutely furious at the man who almost took away his new family, and he was about to give that walking talking jumper cable a piece of his mind. Using his super speed, Sonic removed his disguise and left it by Tom and Maddie's feet and began running up the sides of the buildings and jumped over to knock Electro out of the air.

"Agggghh!" shouted Electro as he fell back down onto the street.

"Didn't like that, Sparky? Didn't think so?" Sonic said as he now stood in front of Electro.

"Wait a minute, you're not Spider-Man! What are you!?" Electro growled as he stood back up.

"Sonic's the name, speed's the game. And I just can't allow a living taser to go around zapping everybody" Sonic introduced himself.

"Well then, show me what you've got you mutant freak!" Electro said as he held up his hands and allowed electrical bolts to emit from his open palms and began to levitate himself into the air once again. Sonic then tilted his head from left to right, making a cracking noise as he made each tilt and also pressed his hands firmly against his back to crack it.

"With. Pleasure" Sonic said with a sly grin. He blinked his eyes and the usual emerald green in them had turned to an electrifying sky blue while blue electric bolts emerged from his quills. Electro was in awe at what he was seeing, how Sonic was capable of producing electrical pulses from his own body.

"What are you?" Electro whispered to himself. Sonic then began charging at Electro and formed himself into a spiky blue ball surrounded by electric bolts as he kept spinning at an alarming speed that he had never seen before. The hedgehog then launced himself off a destroyed car that had been tilted upside down towards him. The minute Sonic made an impact on Electro's chest, a powerful blast of power sent him flying back down to the ground and destroyed a hot dog stand down below.

"How did you like then, Mr. Zappy?" Sonic asked with his arms crossed against his chest. The minute Electro stood back up, Sonic's smile faded away into a look of absolute fear. The yellow electric aura that surrounded Electro and his harness had turned blue, the same blue that was the color of Sonic's own power.

"What is this? The power... it's unlike anything I've ever felt before. And it feels. so... GOOD!" Electro shouted as his eyes began to glow blue and he slammed his fist down on the ground, which caused the electrical pipes underneath the streets to explode and have the cars fly up into the air and land all around. Many people were now screaming and running away, fearing for their lives.

"W-What have I done?" Sonic whispered to himself, feeling nothing but regret flow throughout his veins knowing he had just given Electro more power than ever before. Electro began to walk towards Sonic while creating a large ball of electrical energy.

"Thanks for the recharge, freak! Let me give you a little gift to show my thanks!" Electro said while baring his teeth at the hedgehog, not taking his glowing blue eyes off of him. Sonic then closed his eyes and held his arms up in front of his face, preparing for Electro's attack to strike him. Before he could send the electrical blast over, Electro was knocked from behind over Sonic's head and causing him to land on top of a wrecked car. The minute he landed, the blue lightning had changed back to yellow.

"Hey buddy, you do realize your electric bill's gonna be more expensive than a rent payment with all the power you're using right?" a voice asked. Sonic then opened up his eyes and he couldn't believe who was standing right in front of him. It wasn't Electro, but instead it was Spider-Man. Sonic began gasping and his jaw slowly becoming more agape by each passing second.

"Spider-Man!?" asked Sonic.

"In the red and blue spandex! Now how about you stand aside and let me handle this guy, alright?" Spider-Man replied.

A/N: Whew, this has to be the longest first chapter for a story I think I've ever written. But yeah, that's our beginning to "The Spider and the Speedster". Next chapter is gonna show the events of this chapter but from a different perspective, the perspective of Peter Parker himself! More to come in the next update! Please review, thanks!
