Disclaimer: I do not own Sofia The First.
A/N: Another Cedfia Almanac inspired story. This month's prompt, "Portrait" :)
(Sofia is anywhere from a teenager, to a young adult)
"Cedric?" Sofia started gently. Cautiously peeking inside after knocking on his door failed to produce a response.
"Just a moment," he answered without looking her way. His attention preoccupied with some project. Though he'd been less inclined to startle at sudden interruptions over the years, thanks to his greater confidence and less stress, she had learned that it was still best to be careful while he was working. So she waited patiently for him to finish.
"There!" he announced. Capping a bottle with some new potion before turning to address his visitor. "Now, what do you need princess?"
She smirked at his question, "What makes you think I need something? Can't I just come because I want to see you?"
He raised a brow at her then glanced at his clock. "An hour earlier than our usual time, and might I add that today isn't even one of our scheduled ones to visit." Folding his arms with smug satisfaction. While it was true that she'd sometimes visit him on a whim during her childhood. As she'd grown older, and gained more responsibilities, they'd had to work out a regular schedule for when to see each other.
Though she hoped to have a bit more free time to spend with him once she was done with school...
She giggled, "Okay, you got me. There actually is something I need to borrow from you."
He nodded triumphantly then was at his cupboard, "Right then! What do you need? A potion? A spell?..." having loaned her a few of those things before for her protector duties.
"Actually," her fingers twiddling. "I was wondering if I could borrow your robe."
He froze, turning to give her a perplexed expression. "My robe?"
She nodded, prompting him to ask "What ever would you need that for?"
"Well, Amber has to paint a portrait for her class, and she asked me to model for her," she explained. "She said I could wear whatever I wanted, and I thought your robe would be nice..."
He stared at her in utter confusion before releasing an exasperated sigh. "All right," Leaving for his bedroom, and returning with one of the outer garments.
"Be careful not to get any paint on it," he said as he handed it to her.
She nodded, carefully gathering it into her arms. "I will. Thanks, Cedric."
"You're welcome," pondering again on the strange request. "And since you're bothering to use my robe, I hope you'll share that portrait of yours with me when it's finished," he teased, smiling widely.
At those words the princess suddenly blushed, looking away. "Oh...um sure. I'd love to show it to you...someday... ...hopefully..."
The sorcerer's grin disappeared at her reaction. His bewilderment lingering as they bid each other goodbye, and she left out the door.
Amber looked up from her book, noticing a knocking at her door. Her sister stepping inside shortly after, carefully holding something under her arm.
"Oh good! You're here," setting the book aside. "Go ahead and get ready," gesturing hurriedly towards her closet.
Sofia obeyed, and the golden princess went about getting her paints and easel set up. Moving to a chair, and telling Sofia to take her place upon the bed when she came out.
Amber had been studying the art of the human body in her class, and as such, had been tasked with the assignment of painting the portrait of a nearly nude model.
With everything set up, she finally looked up to see the subject of her painting. Mouth gaping open in surprise, before switching to a deadpan expression. "Really Sofia?..."
Sofia was laying reclined against Amber's pillows. Completely bare save for Cedric's robe. Which hung open loosely revealing her breasts. A significant portion of her legs showed as well.
Her sister blushed a bit at the obvious reprimand, before countering with "You said I could wear whatever I wanted!"
The older girl shook her head slowly. "You're going to give that man a heart attack if you ever show this portrait to him. You know, that don't you?"
"No I wont!" she protested. "At least I hope not..." now a bit concerned as she thought on the matter. Though her goal was to excite him a little with it; she certainly didn't want it to be that much.
Amber only shrugged, "If you say so..." prepping her brush with the right combination of paints. Though she wasn't too keen on her sister's infatuation with their royal sorcerer, she had opted to be supportive nonetheless.
"For now though, let's just focus on my school project." she declared. Her normal enthusiasm returning as she began to apply the paint to her canvas.
A/N: May be a little bit OOC, especially on Sofia's part. But I thought it was a fun idea nevertheless, lol.
Thank you for reading.
