Chapter One: Preparations
"Remember on my signal you jump it. Got it?" Diego asks as he and Alexis are hiding nearby as they watch an animal eat.
"I still don't get why I can't just run beside you." Alexis says.
"It's just better if we ambush it." Diego says as Alexis sighs.
"Alright. If that's what you prefer." Alexis says as she runs ahead before laying in hiding as she watches Diego chase the animal.
"My hooves are burning baby! They are burning! Oh look at this I got to tip-toe! I got to tip-toe! Eat my dust dingo!" The animal shouts happily as Diego stops running.
"Alexis now!" Diego shouts.
"Huh!?" The animal shouts in alarm.
"Gotcha!" Alexis shouts as she lunges at the animal and finishes it off.
"Thanks little sister. Sorry you have to help with my hunts." Diego says as Alexis looks at him.
"I don't mind... Diego you sure you're okay?" Alexis asks.
"I don't know..." Diego says.
*Timeskip*
"Diego, Alexis there you are. You missed the big surprise." Manny says as he sees Diego and Alexis walking.
"Oh right. I'll check it out later." Diego says coldly.
"Okay. See ya." Manny says as Alexis and Diego walk away.
*Timeskip*
"Are you sure about this?" Alexis asks as she is standing with Diego.
"I think it's best for us both." Diego says as Alexis nods reluctantly.
"Hey." A voice says revealing to be Manny as he punches Diego in the shoulder with his trunk.
"Manny!" Alexis says.
"Ow! Why'd you do that?" Diego asks.
"I don't know. So listen Ellie thinks there's something bothering you..." Manny says nervously.
"Actually I've been thinking that soon it might be time for me and my sister here to head out." Diego says.
"Okay so I'll just tell her that you're fine. It was nothing." Manny says as he starts to leave.
"Look who are we kidding Manny? I'm losing my edge. I'm not really built for chaperoning play-dates." Diego says as Manny looks at him.
"What are you talking about?" Manny asks curiously.
"Having a family. That's huge. And I'm happy for you but... It's your adventure not mine." Diego says.
"And Diego is my family. So I'm going wherever he goes." Alexis says.
"So you don't want to be around my kid?" Manny asks.
"Manny that's not it." Alexis says.
"No, no, no. T-That's... your taking this the wrong way." Diego says.
"No go. Go find some adventure. Mr. and Miss Adventure! Don't let my boring domestic life hit you on the bottom on your way out." Manny says as he gets up and leaves.
"Isn't Ellie supposed to be the one with the hormonal imbalance?" Diego asks.
"That's what I thought." Alexis says.
"Manny wait! No one has to leave. Whoa, whoa. This should be the best time of our lives. We're having a baby." Sid says as he comes over.
"No Sid. They're havin' a baby." Diego says.
"Yeah but we're a herd. We're a family." Sid says.
"Sid things change okay?"Aalexis asks.
"Manny has other priority's now. Face it Sid. We had a great run but... now it's time to move on." Diego says.
"So it's just the two of us?" Sid asks.
"Wrong Sid." Alexis says.
"Crash and Eddie are coming with us? Just Crash? Just Eddie?" Sid asks.
"No Sid. It's just me and Diego that are leaving. Nobody else." Alexis says bluntly.
"Goodbye Sid." Diego says as he and Alexis leave.
