The plan had worked. Cora Mills had succeeded in killing the beloved queen. The late queen and her baby died during childbirth. Cora knew it would take a few years, but eventually, everything would fall into place. Two years later, that's exactly what happened.

"Mother, I don't love the king," Regina said.

"You will learn to love him in the same way you thought you loved that stable boy."

"I did, do love him."

"He's dead so get over it."

"Please don't make me do this."

"I didn't work as hard as I have so you could marry a stable boy. You will marry the king and you will become queen."

Regina had resigned herself to her fate. She was indeed going to be forced into marrying a man she didn't love.

Regina Mills sat in her office doing the exact same thing she did every day. She was the mayor of Storybrooke, but couldn't forget who she really was. Her children had no knowledge of their relationship and her adopted son had no idea he was really her great-grandson.

"Henry, what are you doing here?" Regina asked when her son walked in.

"You were the queen of the Enchanted Forest."

"What?"

"Mary Margaret gave me a book. She's your daughter, Snow White. Her daughter is my mother and your granddaughter."

"Henry, I have no idea what you're talking about."

"It's right here in this book Miss Blanchard gave me," Henry took the book out and showed it to Regina. "Why did you do it? Why did you give up your children so easily?"

"Henry, this book is just a bunch of fairytales. It's not true."

"Yes, it is true and I'll prove it."

"Henry, all I've ever wanted in life was to love and be loved. Why would I let my children forget me? If they were my children, why would I do that when they would be the only ones who loved me?"

"I don't know, but I'm going to find out."
