Now me and my alters have a lot of theories on this game, and we're not sure which ones we believe. In this fanfiction, however, Six's hunger had begun forming before she met Mono/went to The Maw- however, it was less common than when she was in The Maw. The reasons why will be revealed later in this story, so I hope you are alright with me sort of adding my own headcanons and concepts in.
I hope you enjoy. Sincerely, Alex (he/him.)
'Why is it always me?'
Six couldn't help but feel worthless. Being shoved around by kids her own size- slammed to the ground, stomped on, laughed at- she wondered why she even bothers. Why people who could be helping her- that could be working with her- preferred to humiliate her, abuse her, take all those supplies she worked so hard to gather.
She tried to speak, to whisper, to make any noise to tell them to stop- but she couldn't even breathe, not with all the blood in her mouth and nose from her own face being smashed repeatedly against the ground.
'Please, just kill me already. Why do I even try anymore? Nobody will ever want to be my friend. Nobody will ever help me. There is no reason to even live, there is no reason to do anything.'
A final blow into the ground, and the kids ripped the bag she had been carrying away and handed it to the tallest of the group. She barely managed to mutter out a single word.
"...w…h…y?..."
The tall kid scoffed, "Because we don't want to team up with a wimp."
And with that…they left her. Lying on the ground. Bleeding. With no supplies except the clothes on her bloodied skin. She coughed up more blood while her eyes threatened to spill tears.
'I hope I bleed out.'
Six closed her eyes. She was so cold…so tired. She wanted to sleep. She didn't even care if she never woke up- she just needed to sleep. So she gave in.
Six was running. People- no- monsters- were chasing her, hunting for her. Giant monsters. She was hungry. So hungry. It burned her stomach. It burned her soul- she needed to eat. She was desperate. She climbed her way up old wooden bookshelves, as giant arms and hands attempted to grab her- to make her the food. She refused to let them. She climbed so fast- trying so hard- but she just couldn't go fast enough. They were right behind her- they were going to catch her- their giant hands were so close…
Six snapped awake- her head pounding and covered in bandages, her body warm by a fire, her vision blurry, her neck feeling strained. Confused and disoriented, she looked around- hoping she was dead- only to find that she was still in the dreaded forest, and her stomach was grumbling.
"Hello?" A young feminine voice spoke behind her- she snapped her head around, which only made it ache even more. Her eyes met a beautiful girl- she had soft, fluffy blonde hair that is shoulder-length- gorgeous hazel eyes- pale skin with tan splotches and burn scars, as well as freckles here and there- a skinny and soft, delicate body- Six couldn't help but stare at her. It had been a while since she'd seen someone look so clean and…taken care of.
Six backed up with the little strength she had- and the girl, concerned, threw her hands up in surrender, to show she was no harm.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I don't want to scare you! I just was checking since you're awake and- um- I can leave you alone if you'd like. I left some food by you, if you need-"
Six didn't hesitate to grab everything next to her- the fruit the girl had left, along with the sticks and leaves under it- and shove them into her mouth, down her throat. Relief flooded over her body as her stomach slowly felt less empty and demanding.
"-…it." The girl kind of smiled a little as Six hungrily and thoughtlessly shoved food down her throat. Before Six could even make a gesture of response or even process what happened, the girl was already running off in the woods. Six just let her go. Why stop the girl when you don't know what will anger her? She already helped Six, there's no reason for her to stick around. Six was just thankful for what she got.
Six curled up a bit, wondering what she could possibly do now.
'Where do I go in this dreaded world? Is there even…a point of going anywhere? Is there…a reason to try, when this world seems so hopeless now? After all I've been through?'
Sticks and branches snapped behind her, pulling her out of her thoughts. She stumbled up- afraid and alone, as always. She wondered if company would ever be something she'd know. She stumbled and hid behind a tree, disoriented, her stomach still settling, and her heart thumping wildly.
Large footsteps came from behind her, as well as the clacking of boots, the light of a large flashlight, and the sound of a large gun rattling. The hunter- that damned hunter- was seeking her…again. She hated that hunter with a passion; she recalled all the horrible chases, the near catches, the injuries, the exhaustion, the terror that he caused her- this caused a rush of anxiety and anger to hit her at once, and she picked up a rock and threw it as far as she possibly could to distract him.
As soon as he turned to shoot, and the loud gunshot rang, she ran as fast as she could, diving between a space that led to roots and a cave under two trees. She pushed her way under it, dirt and rocks scratching her exposed skin as she crawled through the tight space. She felt a sense of relief when she got out of that tight space- but before she could run, she got distracted with the sight of a young child on a nearby tree, shining under the moonlight.
He had a shaggy paper bag over his face, with two eye holes- a long brown coat, a long shirt, a long set of pants- all of which were shades of brown. She could tell he was extremely low in weight- around her age- however he definitely was feeling warmer than she was with all those clothes.
Six mistakenly got too distracted- and next thing she knew, a bright flashlight was shining in her face, a gun pointing at her body. She couldn't move, couldn't even react before the hunter grabbed her with his hand, suffocating her as he carried her away.
As his house grew closer in view, Six felt any sense of hope slowly slipping away.
