A/N A little background. Percy is the oldest Horseman of the Apocalypse, Death. His scythe was stolen, so he became a partial immortal. Percy's place in the books is taken by a son of Poseidon, Marcus. Percy helped Marcus out on his quests, and I think that's it. If you have questions ask them, I might have an answer. This came to me while reading Wolves_of_Scotland 's "The Spartan".
"I'm telling you, it isn't worth it." Percy said.
"This is the only way he could face Kronos!" Nico said.
"No, it isn't, I have a better idea."
"Oh, yeah? What is it?"
"We let Kronos explode into his true form."
"That would rip Luke apart. And how is that better?! You're talking about the Titan king, at full power. Even Zeus can't handle him!" Marcus said.
"Your plan is to be invulnerable and stab him in his Achilles heel. How is that any better?" Percy replied.
" You're talking about the Titan king, at full power. Even Zeus can't handle him! What chance do you have?" Nico said.
"I have more of a chance than any of you know." Percy said with a dark look on his face. "Just remember, there is a reason it's called a curse, and not a blessing."
"Let's go Nico." Marcus said, leaving his mom's apartment.
"You're gonna regret this." Percy whispered with disappointment in his eyes.
LINE BREAK
Marcus was fighting the possessed Luke, but to no avail. Annabeth and Grover were knocked out. Dionysus' throne had a couple of cracks in the base of it. Overall, things were looking pretty bleak.
Marcus was on his back next to the central hearth, his sword, Eddy, had landed at the foot of Zeus' throne. Kronos stood above him, his bimetal scythe raised about to strike. Luke's body was starting to glow golden. Kronos lowered his scythe and grinned. "My actual form, YES!"
Luke suddenly exploded, gore and blood everywhere. All that was left behind was a golden humanoid light. It started to take a physical form. His physical form was pretty short, and he had a long pointy beard.
During the explosion Kronos had dropped his scythe, so he, you know, picked it up. He brought up the scythe to end the son of Poseidon, when the throne room doors opened. Percy walked in, a stoic expression on his face.
"Ahh, another person here to stop me?" Kronos asked.
"Yep, and your stupidity is gonna be the end of you." Percy said.
"How?" Kronos asked. "I'm at full power, and my scythe makes my power grow!"
"You really think that scythe is yours. You think that, what? Gaea just made a scythe and just gave it to you?" Percy asked, incredulously. He reached his hand out and the scythe flew into Percy's hand. As soon as it was back into his hand, Percy's clothes changed from a hoodie and jeans to a black suit. The scythe changed from two metals to one black metal. "She stole the scythe. Death's scythe."
Fear filled Kronos' eyes. Suddenly he was cut in half, bisected from his stomach. The Titan lord faded in and out of existence, before fading for the final time, leaving the plane of existence forever.
The gods flashed in to see a knocked out daughter of Athena, unconscious satyr, a almost dead son of Poseidon, and Percy polishing a black scythe. Percy nodded to Artemis before vanishing from view.
Percy had a lot of work to do. After all:
Death is inevitable.
