The Start of a Great Friendship

Hello everyone, Electrosium05 here and this is my first ever Fanfic made and published to this site as usually I'm not that great of a writer, but I have decided to make one, starting with Digimon Data Squad. Now before this begins, I would like to give a shout out to bluesharky who gave me the courage and advice to write a fanfic after I gave him feedback on his story which is called "Digimon Frontier, Purification Redemption" it is a great fanfic, and you should really check it out. With that out of the way let's begin this story. Electrosium05 out!

Our story begins in Japan where a young boy is playing among the trees in a park. This boy is called Leo Newbery and he is 9 years old. He has brown hair, brown eyes and is wearing black pants, a blue shirt and white sport shoes. Now this might seem like a normal sunny day for this young boy, but little did he know that his normal day will become something more exciting.

Leo was running and jumping through the trees laughing like any 9-year-old but then he hears a noise. Leo turns around and looks for whatever the noise was until he heard it again. He heads towards where he can hear the noise which started to sound like a creature in pain. He picks up speed and arrives to the location of the noise and finally sees what is making this sound.

Leo's P.O.V:

'What is this?' I thought as I look at this weird animal. 'It kind of looks like a big jellyfish but why is it out here?' as I walk towards the big jellyfish. When I got next to it, I saw lots of bruises and scratches on it. "What happened to you?" I asked worried for the big jellyfish. It doesn't respond but I think I saw an eye look at me for a second but didn't think nothing of it. "Come on let's take you back home, luckily my home is right near this park." I said as I picked up the big jellyfish… I should really think up a name for it but that's not important right now. 'I got to get this little guy to Mum.' With a goal in my head, I started to head back home, and hopefully Mum and big sis don't overreact.

Time Skip:

I arrived back home with Squishy still in my arms and yes, I did call the big jellyfish Squishy because his whole body is very squishy. But anyway, I opened the door to my house and entered inside and saw Mum cooking dinner since it is 4:30pm right now. My Mum has the same brown hair and eyes as me, but her hair is longer than mine, and she is wearing a blue dress with a white apron in front of it. "Mum I need your help!" I yelled as Mum stopped what she was doing and looked at me with a smile. "Yes dear what is it?" she asked, and I showed her Squishy by holding him in front of me. "I found this weird animal at the park today, but he's hurt can you help him?" I pleaded to my Mum who was looking at Squishy with wide eyes but that quickly went away and gave me a smile as she took Squishy from my hands. "Of course, honey but I need to lay him on the table, and I need you to look after him alright?" My Mum said as she laid Squishy onto the table. "Of course, I will watch him and once he is better, I can keep him, right?" I asked Mum excitedly. "We'll see Leo." She said, walking towards the kitchen to grab the first aid kit. As she does that, I look at Squishy and saw a bright red eye looking at me. At first, I was scared but then remembered that he is injured and is probably scared as well. "Don't worry Squishy your safe now, my Mum is grabbing the first aid kit right now to help make you feel better faster." After I said that and gave him some pats on the head, he closes his eye in content making me smile. My Mum comes back with first aid kit and starts fixing up Squishy. After that was done Mum gave Squishy to me and told me that he just needs to rest so that he can get better even faster, and so I took him to my room so that he can rest on my bed. My sister came in after I put Squishy into bed and told me that dinner was ready. My sister's name is Alice Newbery and is 18 years old. She has the same brown hair as me and Mum but has blue eyes, something she got from Dad, she wears a black shirt with a skull on its front and dark blue trousers along with a silver necklace around her neck. I told her I will be down soon. She then closed my door and left me alone. I looked back at Squishy and said I will be back soon with food for him.

Time Skip:

After dinner, and after explaining to Alice about Squishy, I went back up to my room with leftover steak and salad on a plate and see Squishy still on my bed I put the food onto the desk next to him and got ready for bed. When I was in my blue star pyjamas I walked over to my bed and laid in it, hugging Squishy gently and spoke. "Goodnight Squishy, I hope you get better soon *yawn*." I soon went to sleep with Squishy in my arms with moon shining down on us without knowing that my day's of normal are now gone.

Done! I hope you guys enjoyed this first chapter of my story and I hope you can give me feedback on how I did because I'm a bit nervous as this is my first ever story.
