Izuku Midoriya was four when he learned he was deemed quirkless at the doctor's office. He was four when he learned that he was never going to be acknowledged as a human being without a quirk. He was four when his dream died in front of him.

Izuku accepted that he couldn't be a hero rather quickly, why bother hoping for something when you have everything but what you need for it, and you couldn't get what you needed for it even if you tried.

As an escape from all of the suffering he was put through Izuku started playing video games. It was one of the few things he would spend his time on, and he never needed to have a quirk in order to be good at it, he just needed a little skill and some muscle memory.

His school life had fallen into a routine, a bad routine. He goes to school, and tries to avoid getting noticed, if he fails he'll be beaten to the ground and serve detention for a week. Then he gets into his classroom and keeps to himself, he doesn't talk, and he doesn't stand out, if he fails he'll get beaten to the ground and serve detention for a week. At lunch he will use his only opportunity to leave the classroom, go to the roof without getting noticed, fail and get beaten to the ground and serve detention for two weeks. Ten minutes before lunch is over he must get back to the classroom but doesn't enter until most of his classmates have already entered, fail and get beaten to the ground and serve detention for a week.

He never changes his routine, he only changes what he does when he isn't moving around. Normally he is studying for school, but other times he is working on support item concepts or his quirk analysis booklets.

It had been six years since Izuku had been diagnosed quirkless, six years since the rest of the world had given up on him being anything, six years since he was deemed a living waste of space by society. He could still find comfort in one thing though, he at least couldn't be killed by the people around him until he was out of high school… right?

Wrong. The one thing he found comfort in was just proven wrong when one of Izuku's classmates shot him out a third story window with their quirk. He was falling, he was going to die, and no one did anything to stop it. No one did anything to help him, this was even encouraged by the teachers. His homeroom teacher was the one who got his classmate to use his quirk on him in the first place.

As Izuku fell, time seemingly slowed down. His life was flashing before his eyes, and all he saw was pain. He saw every time he was hit, cut, crushed, burned, all of it, he had experienced all of it. With tears in his eyes he looked to the exit of the school, only to see his mother, the only one to care about him, watching in horror as he was thrown out the window to his death. He started to cry more when he saw Inko, he didn't want her to have to watch his death, he didn't want her to suffer like this. Izuku also saw a news reporter and a camera man facing his direction the camera was on and recording him, at least they have evidence that this even happened.

Izuku looked back to the sky and closed his eyes and braced for impact. Not a second later there was a horrible ringing in his ears, if it didn't only last a second he probably would have gone deaf because of it. But then there was silence, he had died.

Strangely enough Izuku opened his eyes, he didn't see the white roof of a hospital room, nor did he hear any of the standard hospital equipment that would be turned on if he was in a hospital room. Izuku saw a black void, it was completely empty, there was nothing to do or see. He could still clearly see himself as if he was illuminated from all angles, there were no shadows on his body or clothing, everything almost looked flat.

Izuku didn't understand what this was, he was starting to get a little scared, he started to feel truly alone. Suddenly there was a light slightly brighter than what his body was at the time he entered this void, Izuku's body had also stopped glowing.

When Izuku turned to see what the light was he saw some kind of panel. It was large, Izuku thought that it was about two stories tall and one story wide. The panel was transparent lime green in color and had white text on it.

[Subject -Player- has died prematurely.][Subject -Player- can choose to activate 'Game Code' prematurely in order to revive and continue living their life, or to pass on to the afterlife. By hitting "Accept" Subject -Player- will gain 'Game Code' and wake up. By hitting "Decline" Subject -Player- dies permanently and moves on to the afterlife.][(Accept) (Decline)]

Izuku was confused, the panel said he was dead but it also said that he could survive this. All Izuku knew is that by hitting Decline he would die again, and he didn't want that. So he moved his finger over to Accept before trying to touch it, thankfully all the panel needed was the motion as the Accept button was counted as pressed and Izuku breathed a sigh of relief.

A bright light shot out from the panel forcing Izuku to close his eyes, when he opened his eyes he saw the white roof of a hospital room, he heard the beeping of the heart monitor and the sounds of a respirator. He felt a whole in his arm where blood was being pumped in and he heard the sound of a calling fan spinning just out of reach. Izuku was calm, tired, and happy. He was no longer in a void, he was safe, and more importantly, alive.

One minute after Izuku woke up a nurse came into the room to check on him. The nurse saw that Izuku's eyes were now open and that his heart rate had steadied. They immediately called a doctor who looked shocked when they saw that Izuku was awake. "Um, Hello." The Doctor said in a still shocked and shaky tone, "Blink Once if you can hear me." The doctor instructed. Izuku found it easier than he expected to blink his eyelids, and it turns out that his head was mostly undamaged. "Ok, I am going to ask you some questions. Blink once for yes and twice for no, Ok" The Doctor instructed, Izuku blinked once to show he was paying attention and understood what the doctor was doing.

"Do you still hurt anywhere?" The Doctor asked.

Izuku blinked once.

"Do you feel the pain all across your body?"

Izuku blinked twice.

"Is the pain in more than one spot?"

Izuku blinked once.

"Does your back hurt?"

Izuku blinked once.

"Does your left leg hurt?"

Izuku blinked once.

"Does your right leg hurt?"

Izuku blinked once.

"Do your arms hurt?"

Izuku blinked twice.

"Does your throat hurt?"

Izuku blinked twice.

"Does your head hurt?"

Izuku blinked twice.

The doctor nodded to the Nurse who had written everything down. The doctor then looked back to Izuku and said "Ok, Midoriya. You need to rest some more. You are going to need to stay here for another week before anything else can happen. We have something that can make you sleep through the entire week as if it never happened, are you Ok with this?" Izuku took a few seconds to decide before blinking once. The doctor nodded before going to get everything ready, as Izuku drifted to sleep on his own.

The next thing Izuku knew it was the week after the incident. Izuku looked around the hospital room to see if anyone was there, only to see his mother asleep at his bedside. He smiled when he saw her and instinctively reached his handout to her, he managed to grab onto her hand gently since one hand had been reached all the way over to the bed frame just barely holding onto it

Inko started to wake up almost immediately after Izuku had grabbed onto her hand, she looked over to see that Izuku was finally awake, giving her a weak smile as he held her hand. Inko couldn't help but start to tear up from the sight, her baby boy had just woken up and was still his old self. She couldn't help but feel relieved that what had happened hadn't affected him too much.

[You have comforted your mother without needing to speak.][Created Skill Body Language (Lv.1)]

Izuku was surprised by the sudden pop up window but didn't react. The window closed after a second though so he wasn't stuck with it. Was that his quirk the one that had supposedly saved him from death. Izuku didn't fully understand it yet and was going to need help with it, but he wasn't sure if he could talk yet and didn't want to force himself to try yet.

"Oh, Izuku. I'm so happy that you are finally awake. Even if you aren't able to talk yet I still feel so revived that you know that I am going to be here for you. I'm so sorry that you were forced to go through everything that you went through. I know that I should have done more but I just didn't think anything would change no matter what I did, I was worried that it would actually get worse if I tried. I'm so, so sorry that I didn't do anything until now." Inko said. It was then that a nurse entered the room. She looked at the small family and smiled, she composed herself before saying "The doctor would like to do some minor tests for convenience sake, on both the part of the staff and the patient. Whether or not you will be able to stay ma'am will most likely be up to what tests he would be performing." Inko nodded silently in response before looking back to Izuku and smiling.

The doctor came in soon after. He looked at the two Midoriyas with a soft smile on his face. "Ok, I'm guessing that the nurse told you that I'm going to run some basic tests to make our lives easier, and make it so this little guy can leave earlier." The Doctor said with a small chuckle. The Midoriyas both nodded and the doctor continued speaking "I'm going to run a few scans to see just how much damage there is. Then I'm going to do some basic physical tests to see just how much he can do right now. So we will need to take Izuku for about a half an hour before you will be able to see him again." The Doctor explained. Inko then nodded in agreement, understanding what was happening made it easier for her to wait.

Another nurse then came into the room with a wheelchair and brought it over to the bed to make it easier for Izuku to get in. Izuku was easily able to get into the wheel hair on his own after he managed to sit up straight. Izuku was then taken to a room with a doctor who had glowing eyes and fingertips. The room itself also had a few machines as well, but they all were blocked off so they couldn't be used easily.

"Ok Midoriya, we are going to need you to lie down on your stomach for this first scan, Ok. We already have a bed ready, and if this scan goes well we will be able to leave this room and go back to your mother early." The Doctor explained. Izuku nodded in response. The Doctor then took Izuku over to the bed that they had prepared for this test. Izuku got onto the bed and lied down on his stomach so they could do the test. "You are going to feel a tingling sensation on your back during the test, so try to stay as still as possible, Ok." The doctor stated, Izuku hummed in response, getting surprised by the sudden noise he just made.

[You managed to communicate with your voice][Created kill Language (Lv. 1)][Unlocked Language -Japanese-]The glowing doctor was then led over to Izuku, the doctor placed his hands just above Izuku and started using his quirk. He moved his hands down Izuku's back and legs before stopping. "It seems all of the damage that the boy's mussels and nervous system had obtained has been completely healed, however they are still incredibly strained. It will take a few weeks before the boy will be able to start walking again. From the damages it also looks like the boy's throat might also be strained so it may take a bay or two before he can talk without hurting himself." He explained before being led out of the room.

Izuku was taken back to his room soon after the test. Inko was relieved that Izuku would be ok, but also sad that he would need to stay in hospital longer. Izuku was happy that Inko was happy, he was relieved that he would be able to walk and talk again but didn't know just how long it would take before that could happen.

Izuku was taken to the recovery center, normally this is where patients with mental issues of some kind would go but it unfortunately was the only place that could take him at the time.

It took a few days for him to be able to talk again but thanks to some medicine it came faster than expected. Izuku was then taken to the room he would be staying in for the remainder of his time here. It was a fairly large room, it had a bathroom, a hospital bed for him to sleep in, a window looking out into the city, a desk, and a few other things. Izuku was also cleared for not having any mental disabilities or disorders so he was allowed to have a TV in his room along with some games to play if he ever got bored of watching television.

He also got a schedule for how the days would go by.

6 am. - Wake up, Breakfast

7 am. - Free Time

8 am. - Therapy session(s)

9 am. - Free time

12 am. - Lunch, Free Time

3 pm. - Therapy session(s)

4 pm. - Free time

7 pm. - Lights out

10 pm. - Curfew

Izuku was ok with the schedule but it seemed a little repetitive, and didn't actually have much time for people to actually have the therapy sessions they needed. Izuku didn't question it though he was supposed to get the estimated amount of time he was going to stay here just after breakfast.

His first breakfast was going to be in his room, that way he could be told how his day would go. And why it was set up the way it was.

A nurse soon came into his room and gave him his breakfast. While he was finishing his food it was explained that he would still need to go to therapy to help with the possible PTSD that came with the situation, as well as any insecurities that came from all of the bullying he endured. Izuku accepted that at face value, he was most likely going to need this kind of help if he was going to be a hero some day. He was also told that it would take at most three months to fully recover and be able to walk again.

[New Quest: Speedy recovery][Do everything in your power to make it out of the hospital early fully recoveredTime limit: 91 Days][Rewords: 'Game Code' Tutorial, 100 XP, ¥100][(Accept) (Decline)]

Izuku hit Accept knowing it was good for him and got to work readying himself for when he would need to start his rehabilitation.

It was now week three of Izuku's stay. The staff decided that he should be able to enter group therapy sessions now. He thought that it might be a good thing for him, and since he was already an extremely positive person, maybe he could help other people heal too.

Izuku made his way to a group therapy room, there was one just down the hallway that could help with his bullying problems. As Izuku made his way to the door he heard a conversation coming from the other side of the door. "This is the fourth time you have come into the psychiatric ward for attempted suicide. Are you sure that you are actually safe at home, no signs of verbal abuse, no physical abuse?" The counselor asked, "No. I'm fine." A kid said coldly, it sounded like the kid was around Izuku's age. Izuku could tell that the kid was lieing when they answered the counselor.
