The fireworks from the boat had gone off, creating bright light and explosions all around them. Some of the fireworks even hit some of the police boats, meaning the possibility of the police finding them had gone down. Unfortunately, some of the boats were able to avoid the fireworks and came out of the situation unscathed. Meaning that Matt, Jamie, or Richard could call out for each other, all they could hope for was that they would be able to find each other on land.

'I better get to land before I end up freezing out here, maybe I'll find Matt or Jamie on my way there.' Richard thought to himself.

He started swimming away from the sight, trying to stay hidden from the police. He was still in pain due to the fight he had with Machado, which made swimming a bit of a pain. He wasn't sure how much time had passed before he saw another figure looking around, like they were trying to find land.

'Please let that be Matt or Jamie, please.' He thought as he swam quietly towards them.

They were caught off guard by something and started looking around frantically, they turned around and saw Richard, it was Jamie.

"Richard, is that you?" Jamie asked as he started swimming forward.

"Yeah it's me, have you seen Matt?"

"No, the last time I saw him was when he jumped off the boat, after that everything became just a giant blur."

"I just hope he's alright." Richard responded, he started looking around. "For now, let's just focus on getting back on land, then we can find the triads."

Both Jamie and Richard swam until they found a port, no boats to be found but there were people with flashlights. They lowered their heads more and started quietly heading towards the port, hiding underneath it.

'Let's try and stay hidden until they go away,' Richard thought, he didn't want to risk getting caught by whispering, Jamie nodded in response.

The people above were talking and looking around for something, or for someone. They were talking in different languages but the most prominent one was English.

"What's the possibility that they even escaped on time?" One of the men asked in an annoyed tone. "For all we know they could be dead or arrested by now."

"If they were smart enough to know it was a trap, they're smart enough to escape the boat." Another man responded. "I had a feeling Machado would betray us eventually but my father insisted that he knew his place."

Richard and Jamie soon realized that these must have been the people Han Shan-tung told them about, the people they were supposed to meet. When they heard one of the men say father, they knew that Han Shan-tung's son was there with them.

"Should we trust them?" Jamie whispered, a little skeptical.

"I don't think his own son would have a reason to betray him." Richard stated as he looked above them. "Although, if anything goes wrong, be prepared to mind control them."

"Got it."

The two came out from under the port then called out for the group on the port, the ken noticed them in the water and went towards them. One of the men in the front kneeled down and extended a hand to Richard. The man to his right did the same but instead it was towards Jamie.

"Here, let us help you up." The man holding out his hand towards Richard spoke.

Richard took his hand and was then pulled onto the port, he didn't realize until he was on the port how tired he was. The same man that helped him out of the water extended his hand once more, helping him to stand up.

'They're helping us, that's a good sign.' He accepted his help once again and was helped up until he was face to face with the man helping him.

He had black hair, dark eyes that almost looked black, and a thin scar that started high up on his left cheek and ended when it crossed his mouth. The man was also handsome and looked to be around in his 20s.

'What the hell, he's bloody handsome, really handsome, is he single?' Richard thought, he soon realized what he just said in his head and started to blush. 'No no no no NO, I can't be thinking this way, first off we need to find Matt, and second, he's a triad, a handsome one, but a triad nonetheless-.'

His thoughts were interrupted when the man in front of him snapped his fingers at him, trying to get Richard's attention. Richard hadn't realized he was lost in his thoughts because of this.

"Looks like we have your attention, good." The man stated. "My name is Lohan, I'm sure my father mentioned me and how we were supposed to meet in Hong Kong."

"Yeah, at least we were until Machado decided to sell us out and we had to escape." Jamie responded, trying to get rid of the water in his. "Not to be rude but you guys should really be more careful on who you trust."

"Believe me, we're hoping to never make that mistake again." Lohan looked around the two and realized something. "Where is Matthew, my father said he was with you."

"We got separated, we were hoping he would be with you."

Lohan swore under his breath but kept his composure. "Alright, we'll see what we can do to find him, for now let's get you two dried up."

Lohan turned to his men, gave them a command, and started leading the way to their base, making sure no one else was around to see them.

Richard started to blush again but tried covering his face. 'Goddamn it, stop it, he's just doing his job and giving out orders, nothing about that should be attractive to me!'

Jamie tapped Richard on the shoulder, signaling that they should be following them.

"I never knew how much of a disaster you are when liking someone." Jamie quietly teased, smiling in the process.

"Wha-What are you talking about?" Richard responded, his face turning redder.

"Mind reader, remember, I heard everything and how you're trying to deny that you're attracted to him." Jamie let out a bit of a chuckle. "You're an absolute mess, I mean he had to snap his fingers at you cause we thought you froze or something."

"Listen, I just think he's attractive, that's all." Richard argued, making sure no one but Jamie was listening. "Besides, we have to focus on finding Scarlett and Matt, so let's focus on that instead of dating."

"I never mentioned dating." Jamie smirked.

"You know what I mean!" Richard raised his voice a bit, which got the attention of some of the men in the group, including Lohan. "Sorry, just a tiny argument."

The men's focus turned back to getting them back to the base.

"Listen Jamie, he's a triad, he lives a much more dangerous lifestyle, a lifestyle that I can't handle," Richard responded as he lowered his voice so only Jamie could hear. "Besides, I don't think he feels the same way."

'You might wanna rethink that.' Jamie wanted to say but decided to just keep it to himself, he remembered Lohan's thoughts towards the journalist.

'He's handsome, in a scruffy sort of way, but handsome regardless.'

'Wait until the others heard about this.'

Bonus:

(Takes place during Oblivion)

"So Scarlett, you were with Lohan for a while, right?" Richard asked her, Scarlett was reading the newspaper until he spoke.

"Yes, I mean not for a long time but I was still partnered up with him." She responded, growing a bit curious as to why he was asking about Lohan.

"By any chance, did he ever mention being single?" Richard started to blush a bit for asking the question, he didn't know why he even asked the question.

"Well he never talked about that stuff with me, so I can't give you a clear answer." Scarlett responded, then she realized the question she had been asked. "Wait, why do you wanna know if he's single or not?"

"I-I'm just curious, that's all." Richard started to blush even more.

Scarlett taught for a minute until she finally figured it out, a smile started to grow on her face.

"Am I hearing this right, is Richard Cole attracted to Lohan, how exciting!" Scarlett started giggling while clapping her hands.

"No no no! It's nothing like that alright, I'm just curious that's all!"

That didn't stop the girl from teasing him about it and asking questions, meanwhile the journalist just grew more embarrassed by the second.

(In Brazil)

"Matt, you were living with your journalist friend, Richard, before you came to Hong Kong, correct?" Lohan asked as he sharpened a piece of wood into a weapon.

"Uh, yes, I moved in with him in April and he's been by my side ever since." Matt responded, he was practicing using telekinesis and been making things move around them.

"During that time, did you ever see him dating anyone or mention having a partner?"

"No, at least none that he's told me." Matt tried remembering if there was a time where Richard dated anyone. "He did tell me that a few weeks before we met, that he had a girlfriend, but they broke up because she started dating an opera singer."

"He hasn't dated anyone ever since?" A small smile started to appear on Lohan's face, Matt was too distracted to see it.

"Nope, when it was just us, he was too busy to date anyone, then the others came along and he put all his attention on us."

Matt remembered how he teased Richard about him being single, the journalist responded by saying that the four of them were a handful and he didn't want to drag someone else in their mess. It was only until then that Matt started to realize what Lohan was asking, all the items that were floating soon dropped to the floor.

"Wait a minute, why are you asking me about this?" He asked.

"I'm just curious, that's all." Lohan stated, avoiding eye contact with Matt.

"Why would you be curious about his dating history, unless…" Matt's eyes widened as he turned to look at him, a big smile started to appear. "You like Richard!"

Lohan tried to hide the blush that was starting to appear on his face, he then stood up and started walking. "I'm going to find supplies, wait here."

"Alright but we're talking about this when you get back."

So this is my introduction to this fandom, what a first impression. Honestly the whole reason I made this fanfic is because there is like zero content for this pairing. Honestly I might as well make it myself but since I was in a rush and I didn't know what my first fanfic for this ship was going to be, I did this.

Now to anyone asking, why do you ship this?

You answer, I have no clue, I know they have no interaction, if anything, the few interactions they have are done while we're with someone else, so where did the idea come from? Honestly I found out about this ship through it's only fanfic, read it, and started thinking about it and I started actually shipping it. I'm always a fan of the hardened badass developing a soft side since they're surrounded by people who show them love and support, so that plays into this. I like the idea of Lohan looking at this scruffy, unorganized, bit of a mess, journalist and thinking "I wouldn't mind going out with him.". Then the idea of Richard, who wants a normal life, looks at Lohan and thinks "No no no, I can't fall for him, no…but he is handsome.". In the end he kind of accepts it, their lives are never going to be normal, so why not. Honestly I can talk about the ideas and scenarios that give me a reason to like this pairing but that would be a long explanation. (I haven't gotten into the angst)

Well, here's hoping that I can find someone else to talk to cause this fandom is really small.
