Hey guys, I showed up! Sorry I disappeared... Well I have a new story for you, I believe it's more like a scene. It's short, something that's been on my mind since the gate scene in the last episode of OC. To keep your hearts warm with an ending different from the one shown in the series. Hope you like!
I WANT YOU TO COME HOME
- I want you to come home!
- I intend to!
-Before it's too late...
-Liv, I'm being careful!
She instinctively rests her left hand lightly on his neck for a brief moment before withdrawing.
-I need. Before Eddie Wagner takes over, and Elliot Stabler is nowhere to be found.
They fix their gaze on each other, that look that says everything and at the same time nothing without even a professed word. It had only been a week since he'd shown up at her apartment drugged revealing he hadn't written that mysterious letter but the last line "but in a parallel universe, it's always gonna be you and me" the revelation that she wasn't crazy about the that possibly they felt for each other made that from that day on, she had a different perspective, after all, what was stopping them now? He wasn't married anymore, they weren't even in the same squad anymore, it was just them and that damn disguise. Olivia had the need inside her to remind him why he needed to come home, to the kids, to her. No more hesitating, no longer thinking about the "whys" and the "what ifs" she leans slightly closer to him, his eyes drop to her lips.
"Olivia"
She breathes in his scent, the scent of that cheap cologne Eddie used, but deep down, there was Elliot, the real Elliot.
"come home El''
he raises his eyes to meet hers and she smiles gently leaning a little more, a little closer, she closes her eyes and takes the initiative bringing his lips to hers. It was gentle, subtle, and passionate… It was slow, savoring every bit of each other. Elliot tangled his fingers in her hair, bringing her closer, Olivia immediately wraps her arms around his neck deepening the kiss, they parted only to catch their breath touching their foreheads together, Elliot only takes a few seconds to ask:
- What was this?
Olivia places her hand on his right cheek, stroking him there.
-A reminder of why you need to come back!
she kisses him again
- From who you need to go back to!
Elliot pulls her into his arms, now he knows, he is sure that all the love he always felt for her is returned! Olivia Benson loves him, even though he still doesn't admit it in those words, he knows she loves him, he felt it in her kisses, in her eyes, in the way she also clings to him in this hug that could last forever and they won't would bother. He lovingly brings his hands up and down her back as he rests his nose on her neck, kisses her lightly there which causes a subtle shiver in Olivia. He loosens his grip to look into her eyes...
-I promise! I'll come home... I'll come back to you. But, you better be ready Benson, because when I get back, I'm not leaving for the world.
Olivia smiles in response and lets out a breath she didn't know she was holding.
-I'm counting on that.
He leads her to the car, before she walks through the door, he grabs her wrist causing her to stop.
-It will always be you and me Olivia!
He kisses her forehead and she gets in the car, heading to her apartment. When Elliot enters the house, he finds Bernie waiting for him sitting on the sofa with an undisclosed smile on his face.
-What was it mommy?
Bernie gets up from the couch and puts his hands on either side of Elliot's face.
-She's your girl!
-Mommy...
-Which? Am I wrong? Because I may be old and a little crazy, but even I can see through both their eyes, there is love!
Elliot hugs her tightly, as if this gesture confirms everything Bernie has said! And it was true, not even 10 years away were able to make one stop loving each other, it would always be her, it would always be him, it would always be them. Elliot was on his way home.
