The girl got up. Went to the bathroom, brushed her teeth, washed her face and all that jazz. She put on her uniform. It was in a sailor fuku style. She had transferred to PK Academy when her family moved. She combed her hair and put on her glasses. She went down to the kitchen. Her mother preparing breakfast. "Morning," she said."Good morning," her mother said. Her father worked the night shift so he was still sleeping. Her mother gave her a plate of food. Tamagoyaki and fish. She ate it. Her mother passed her a lunch box and she walked to school.
"Morning class. We have a new student here," said the teacher. She walked into the classroom. She wrote her name on the blackboard."Iwasaki Yua"She was a pretty girl of average height and weight. She had chin length black hair and dark grey eyes with glasses.
"Cute but no where near Teruhashi"
"She's pretty but not gorgeous like me"
"Is she from Dark Reunion? Did a guardian spirit send her to assist me in my journey?"
"I'll be happy with anyone who doesn't bother me"
Those were some of the students' thoughts. The teacher scanned the classroom. There was an empty seat next to Kaidou. "Sit there," the teacher pointed at Kaidou. Iwasaki put her stuff down."Are you by any chance from Dark Reunion?" Kaidou asked. "Dark Reunion?" Iwasaki asked, confused. "The evil organization with a plan to sort man kind!" Kaidou said. Iwasaki thought for a bit. He was probably just messing around looking for some fun. She was going to give a joke reply."I am the assassin, Midnight. I have attempted to defeat Dark Reunion many times but I have failed," she replied. Kaidou's eyes lit up. "Will you assist me in my fight against them?" He asked.
"Yare yare. Iwasaki doesn't know that he's serious. I'll need to stop her before he becomes more delusional." Saiki sent a telepathic message to the teacher."Iwasaki and Kaidou are talking" The teacher turned her head around."Kaidou and Iwasaiki, stop talking!" The teacher teacher yelled. The two immediately stopped talking.
Eventually, lunch rolled around. "So, what type of diet does it take to maintain your powers?" Kaidou asked."What? I don't have powers. Everything I said just now was a joke," Kaidou's heart sank."W-what do you mean?" He asked tearfully."I didn't know you were serious. I thought you were joking around," Kaidou ran away crying."Looks like he's eating his lunch in the bathroom," Nendou said. Iwasaki almost jumped out of her skin when she saw him. He looked like he was a character in a horror movie. She remembered seeing him in class."Hi. What's your name?" She asked."It's Nendou Riki!" He exclaimed. He shook her hand roughly. "He looks scary but seems nice," Iwasaki thought. "We should hang out after school with my best buddies!" He dragged Saiki over."See this is my best buddy, Saiki Kusuo and the kid that ran to the bathroom for cry cry is also my buddy and we should all hang out as buddies!" Iwasaki nodded."Sounds good!" She said.
The school bell rung. Nendou, Kaidou who was still upset and Iwasakj were walking out of the school when Nendou froze."Where's Saiki?" He asked. "I don't know" replied Iwasaki. The still salty Kaidou kept quiet.Nendou ran to get Saiki, dragging the other two along."They forgot about me so I assumed they wouldn't suddenly remember. Guess I was wrong. Time to turn invisible!" He felt Nendou's hands dropping on his shoulders.
With a sense of dread, he turned to the three of them."Hey buddy!" Nendou exclaimed. "Let's go hang out!" Saiki was dragged along."I wanna get some ramen!" Nendou exclaimed,"I know this really good place!"
Suddenly, he stopped dead in his tracks. He turned his head 360 degrees to face an eatery. The cafe had a poster that stated"Our Signature Beef Ramen 40% Off Til' Next Week!" Nendou's eyes widened. "Let's eat here," he said. Iwasaki looked around."This is Kirameki Yorokobi This isn't the place you told us about," Iwasaki said. Kaidou looked at the eatery before them. "Yeah. She's right. The place you told us about's down the street," Kaidou added. "I have better things to do than watching three fools argue. I just want to go home"
Nendou shrugged his shoulders."Who cares, looks good and cheap," He said. He pointed to another poster. The poster stated "25% OFF COFFEE JELLY" "See, we can have dessert too," Nendou added. Saiki's eyes lit up. Coffee jelly at a discount? Best day ever!
The four of them entered the eatery. "Table for four?" A waiter asked. "Yep," Nendou replied. The waiter lead them to their table, gave them the menu and told them to call the nearest waiter or waitress to place their order.
"Okay, four bowls of beef ramen and four servings of coffee jelly," Iwasaki said to the waiter. He recorded what she said on his notepad and brought it to be prepared . "It's too crowded here for my liking but the coffee jelly will make up for it."
"Do you like ramen or udon?" Iwasaki asked, trying to help Kaidou improve his mood. He was grumpy from finding out that Iwasaki was joking."I like both but I prefer udon. I think it has a better texture," Kaidou said. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN? RAMEN IS CLEARLY THE BEST!" Nendou exclaimed. "WELL, SOME PEOPLE ACTUALLY LIKE TO TRY DIFFERENT THINGS!" Kaidou exclaimed. An elderly waitress walked up to them. "Shush. Do not disgrace the name of this establishment," she said. "Yes ma'am," They replied.
Shortly after, their food came.They finished eating. Iwasaki took out her phone and started typing at something. "If we split each of us should pay roughly 930 yen," Saiki double checked. Yep. It was true. They payed and left.
