Good day Fanfiction Fans, and welcome to a brand new fic!

Yes, a plot bunny bit my backside!

I know a lot of you are wondering if I'll ever update 'Bad Habits' or 'United By Fate', and I am sad to say I do have writers block on both quite badly, but I haven't given up on them, especially since I really want to have more stories involving Diablo and his Disciples, its just getting it down on paper.

There are other stories I want to write too, but I will get back to both fics at some point, sooner rather than later hopefully.

Anyway, that's enough rambling, on with the show!

Note: Mutopia and certain characters in this story belong to my good friend and fellow writer Tyroth Darkstorm.

Bad Day

Chapter One

The loud buzzing of an alarm clock rang in Pandora's ears, and she awoke from her slumber to slam her hand on the annoying box on the bedside table.

Groaning and rubbing the sleep from her eyes the thirteen-year-old Turtle/lizard hybrid tried to come alive.

As she sat up, a weird sensation came over her and she took a few deep breaths.

She had decided to go to bed early since she had been feeling this way the previous night, much to her disappointment, as well as her companions.

Pandora and her family had travelled from New York for a trip to see their friends in Mutopia, the Mutant Sanctuary that lay hidden under the city of Chicago, she along with her human cousin Kemeko, had been so excited as she loved seeing Sonia and the Geckolings.

But not long after arriving, she had been feeling rather ill, and she passed it off as travel sickness, yet she hadn't been able to eat her supper, and she didn't feel like joining in any activities and had rather reluctantly headed to bed.

Now she was still feeling under the weather, and she felt low, yet she didn't want to spend the whole trip unwell so she decided to just get up and see how she got on.

"Maybe some breakfast will help?" she thought.

Dragging herself out of bed, she went to her suitcase and pulled out some clothes which consisted of some black ripped denim shorts, and a red tank top as well as a black sleeveless biker waistcoat.

Just as she was brushing the knots out of her messy hair and tying it up in a ponytail, a knock at the door made her jump.

"Pandora? Little Geisha?"

She recognised the voice as her father's.

"Are you awake yet baby?"

"Yes dad!" Pandora called "Come in!"

The door opened and Pandora forced a smile at her father as the red masked turtle Raphael walked in.

"Ah morning my gem!" he smiled "Feeling better after a good sleep?"

Pandora nodded again with the forced smile frozen on her face as she pulled a few bangs in front of her face.

"Great!" Raphael walked over and gave his daughter a kiss "Sonia, Kemeko and the Geckolings missed you last night."

"I missed them too!" Pandora replied.

It was true, despite not feeling at all well enough to join in she was so gutted to leave her friends and not join in the fun activities planned.

"Oh well, you got the rest of the trip to enjoy." Raphael assured her.

"That's true!" Pandora agreed.

"This feeling better pass quickly though!" she thought "It better!"

Before long, Raphael and Pandora made it to the mess hall where almost all the Mutopians had gathered for breakfast.

The other turtles were at one table along with Master Splinter, Kemeko and Mona.

The Geckolings were sitting next to Kemeko deep in conversation as they ate.

Splinter was talking to Leonardo and Donatello as he sipped some tea.

Michelangelo as usual was tucking into a full English breakfast, sausages, bacon, eggs, fried bread and baked beans and Mona was talking to Sephie and Sonia whilst eating muesli.

As soon as she saw Raphael and Pandora, Mona grinned.

"Ah there she is!" she smiled.

"Morning mum!" Pandora waved at her mother then went to sit down between Sonia and Kemeko.

"Morning Pandora!" the Geckolings, Sonia and Kemeko said together.

"You feel better?" Loki asked.

"A Little!" Pandora lied as she tried to sound chipper, but the smell of the food was not doing her any favours.

Michelangelo looked up from his food and grinned.

"There's my favouraite niece!" he grinned "You up for some grub? I'll order your favourite!"

He was about to get Patch the Badger's attention.

Patch who was sometimes an assistant to Louie in the kitchen was walking around with a couple of other Mutopians handing out plates of food Louie had cooked and was just about to walk over to the turtle's table.

"No thanks Uncle Mike!" Pandora said quickly before Michelangelo could shout out. She really didn't fancy any greasy food, and in fact looking at Michelangelo's fry up was making her nauseous.

"I mean, I'm not in the mood for fried stuff today." Pandora said, "I'll just have cereal this morning, or a fruit and yoghurt."

Michelangelo raised an eyebrow ridge.

"What's this?" he asked, "Lost your appetite princess?"

"I'm fine really!" Pandora assured her uncle, "Just peachy!"

Mona and Raphael looked at their daughter.

"You sure you're alright Pandora?" Mona asked "You really didn't look good yesterday."

"It was just travel sickness mum!" Pandora replied, "I'm fine." She stood up and walked over to the tables against the hole in the wall that led to the kitchens where cereals, yoghurts and fruits had been laid out.

She picked up a small bowl and filled it was some Greek yoghurt and added some oats and berries.

At her table, her parents watched her in concern and Michelangelo looked slightly crestfallen.

"Pandora never says no to a fry up!" he said, "Not to Mine or Louie's, or even Tyroth's."

"Let her be Mikey." Leonardo said, "She wasn't well last night, she may still not have such a big appetite and may just want something more easy on the stomach."

"Nothing puts our Little Geisha off her food for long." Donatello reassured "I'm sure by teatime she'll be asking for seconds."

Michelangelo chuckled.

"I guess so yeah," he said, "I just worry that's all, when Pandora's not her usual self."

"I hope she's okay to play with us today." Kemeko said as she crossed her knife and fork over her plate and pushed it away.

"Me too!" Freya agreed "It's not the same without Pandora, she always makes our social time fun!"

"What have you got planned for today?" Michelangelo asked.

"Well, we got video games, movie marathon, also the weather's supposed to be good topside!" Sonia said "Uncle Tyroth has promised that we could have a picnic lunch on one of the Islands on Lake Michigan."

"Nice!" Michelangelo smiled.

"As long as you stay safe and not go in the water." Splinter said looking at the children over the rim of his mug.

"If they want to swim, they can!" Sephie smiled at the old rat "Though I am concerned for Freya and Loki."

"Well, we stay away from water altogether!" Loki assured his mum "Freya and I know our wings don't work underwater."

"Very wise kids!" Sephie smiled.

"Pandora's a good swimmer!" Kemeko stated "She uses her tail like a propeller!"

"She learnt that from me!" Mona said proudly holding up her tail and making the tip wave slightly making everyone laugh.

Pandora soon arrived back at the table and sat down with her fruit and yoghurt which she slowly began to eat.

Mona watched her daughter and frowned a little in concern.

"I do hope you're not coming down with something Little Geisha." She thought "You do look rather flushed; we better keep an eye on you."

She turned back to Sephie to continue talking but made a note to talk to James, Mutopia's doctor about giving her a check-up later.

So Pandora's not feeling too well, and so inconvenient as she's with her family visiting Mutopia.

How will things go on from here?
