Mitch Rapp was done with his work. Kennedy elected to tell him that his new assignment was going to be the one place he never wanted to go again, home. After high school Mitch faked his death and got away from the pack. His friend, Scott McCall, tended to be rather rude to him because he was a human and would say things like, "Humans just do not belong in a pack of wolves. You are too much of a liability." So I left, changed my name from Stiles Stilinski to Mitch Rapp and went to college.
While I was there I became the best lacrosse player in the world and even became a great fighter. After leaving the pack I soon met a girl named Katrina who was the light of my world. She was going to college to be a nurse and we met when I was being stupid in practice and cut myself with the pole. She stitched me up and we then became friends.
After a year, we became closer and started dating. I took her to Spain to propose and then a disaster happened. She was killed by a guy called Sharif Sayed. Months later, I planned to kill him, but the CIA took him out before I could. I ended up dropping out of college to catch this guy as well. They recruited me for a program called Orion that was led by Stan Hurley and Director Kenendy. I quickly rose to the top of the program. Now after four years after leaving my town and making a better life for myself, I have to go back.
I sit in Kenedy's office getting debriefed on the case and what is going to happen. So, I am supposed to leave tonight and get to Beacon Hills by tomorrow. I will be there by myself for two days surveying the town and what is happening. After that Stan is going to come down and set up with me to find the target. We do not know the target yet, but I am under strict orders not to tell anyone who I am without permission. I head back to the garage to my black McLaren 720S. I bought it after my second job that I did when we were in France. I start to head down the highway thinking of what Harley reminded me before I left. "Don't ever let it get personal." I think in my head that it will never get personal.
As I arrive in Beacon Hills, I pull up in a shabby motel and pay with the old lady at the front to get me a room. I get room number 23 and a I go in I see a dirty, tiny, old area on the floor where I place my bed on the floor. I decided to go back to sleep for a little bit since I arrived at three in the morning. In the morning when I wake up I go on a run, I take my gun with me and tuck it in the back of my shorts. I run past all of my hometown memories and even visit my mother's grave. As I go to the graveyard, I hear people talking about Stiles and I slow down and turn around, run faster to get away from there.
