This is not a fiction. This is a rant from my comment on reddit. I do not care if it against ffn rule

[Poll: Worst TPoT book?
The Sight - 6
Dark River - 22
Outcast - 25
Eclipse - 6 (I voted this)
Long Shadows - 5
Sunrise - 5]

This poll really dose surprised me. Dark River is one of my top favorite warriros book. (I read all book in audiobook version read by MacLeod Andrews, So it might make a huge different)

I'll never forget the experience when I read Dark River (I still remember it to this day). The idea of connecting to distant far, far away past, beyond our own lifespan. The eon ago. The feeling of walking in under the world, In the perspective of a cat, in the hundred of tunnel made by ancient time. It shook me to my bone when reading. (I tend to visualize everything when reading, sadly that aren't that many cool scenes anymore in modern books. All i remeber is dialogue, there aren't any great visual scene to remember). The narration of jaypaw navigate through the tunnel underworld is the experience that i'll never forget (Can you imgine youself in a cave? not a wide cave but claustrophobic, deep far below the surface, where you might never find a way out? where the entire cave system is flooding, ...). The scene where Fallen leaf guide him! or when tunnel is flooding, every single aspect of the scene is superb: "We'll be together in starclan", The sprits of those who traped in the cave. The final moment where rock mark that they'll survive. - I have read more than hundred of books by many authors, many genre. But the cave arc, is still one of the most unforgettable I ever had.

Other scenes are really cool too! Hollypaw break the rule and go to Riverclan (I Frcking love that, They COULD do something more with it. But no, They had squirelflight pick her up. and abaddon the many cool exciting possibility they could made) Lionpaw in love with heatherpaw! (They break up later. Which is cool at first, only if it is temporary! The erin frcking abaddon the ship and destroy the entire Lionpaw character)

Yea, Popular's opinion really surpised me - Dark River is the best book in TPoT for me. The characters, The setting. Let me rank them:

1 - Dark River
2 - The Sight
3 - Outcast
4 - Eclipse

Reading Long Shadows became so frustrating that I decided to drop the rest of the arc. At that point, There's nothing for me to care more anymore.

Lionblaze - I want to skip him every single time, His break up with heatherpaw made me hate him so much, reading his pov feel like a waste of time.

Hollyleaf - I don't remeber that did she do anything, Seriously, I don't remeber what did she even do. She would be a amazing character if she just act on her own more, Like when she go to Riverclan and acting more and more! (What about killing ashfur? - I want to read about the exponential story where pov become larger and larger part of the world. Not Character diging her own grave. Not be able to sympathize, trust, related to pov is the last thing i wanted)

Jayfeather - The last remarkable thing that I remember he do is Cinderpaw's swiming lesson. After that, I feel unmotivated or even resisted! The idea of having supernatural connection to starclan and the spiritual, Is frcking cool. It show throughout the arc, Saving Breezepaw, Bring cat from dead, The entire dark river, and more! But it all stop when He want to have the power of star in his paws - It feel like a waste of times man, any intelligent reader'll know that what you are saying are chlidish and author would never actually made it real. Overall, I hate this frcking prophecy, It feel meaningless, And Jayfeather, you had better thing to do than obsessed with this.

And come sol... He is by far, The worst villain i ever read. Not because of Sol. But the world, I just feel like every single cats is insanely stupid, even the frcking pov. I hate this so much, When reader seem to know overall things more than pov, It's insanely frustrating. I miss when Firestar was the protagonist. He actually do exciting stuff, and always one step ahead.

Fire scene and overall story later? Bruh, I don't care about that. You. Warriors cats are the one who told me to ignore the birth heritage in first arc. But you seem to break that with Brambleclaw and now this. Breaking medicine cat not having kit rule is the last frcking thing i care about. And literally reading these stupid cats care so much about stupid (fictional) rule making me want to die. It's like every characters is 1 million step behide me as a reader. Where the f*ck is the stake?

There's no meaningful Goal or intetion of the pov;
There's no Stake or the one that I care about;
There's no Urgency or it is only temporary, In first arc we have villan the entire time, In 2nd arc forest are being destroy - (still tho, This is fine with strong character. But having urgency'll make it a better story).
And overarching story? It just so bad that i can't identify it.

Thank you for reading my rant, It's impressive if you read ~900 words of this. TPoT is the last arc that i read, It made me stop taking the warriros world seriouisly. (I skip to avos arc, The events sure super duper cool, in book 2&3. 1 is allright. But the rest? It just flat/boring for me)
