Can I Have This Dance ?
Gray entered the great ballroom. He wore a tuxedo for the occasion. He tugged lightly on his bow tie which was too tight. A party had been organized to celebrate the victory of the guild of Fairy Tail. The town of Magnolia had been invaded by a dark guild, but thanks to Fairy Tail the worst had been avoided and the town had not been destroyed. To thank them, the mayor had organized this ball. The city hall had been decorated, musicians were on a stage and they were playing a light-hearted music.
Gray looked around the room. All the members of the guild were present as well as the people of Magnolia and everyone was having fun and dancing. Gray frowned. All were here, except Juvia. He thought he was going to wait a little longer for her and that Juvia would surely arrive. But after a while, she still was not there. Gray sighed. He crossed the dance floor and stepped outside onto the balcony. He saw Juvia. So that was where she was, he thought. She had her back to him and she had not heard him arrive.
'Juvia.'
She turned around and Gray marveled at her beauty. Her long hair was wavy and fell over her shoulders. She was wearing a long, blue dress and Gray blushed seeing her cleavage.
'Gray-sama !'
A huge smile lit up the water mage's face.
'Why aren't you on the dance floor with the others ?' Gray asked.
Juvia blushed and looked away.
'To tell the truth Juvia is a little ashamed, she can't dance'
Gray understood why she wanted to stay away. Come to think of it, he had never seen her dance at parties organized by the guild. He wanted to reassure her.
'I don't know how to dance either,' he confessed. 'All these parties, these balls, it's not really my favorite thing.'
Juvia smiled shyly. There was a sound of a soft and slow music. Gray felt the atmosphere change. The music, the starry sky, Juvia's beauty. All of this made the atmosphere more romantic. It was perfect. His face turned a faint pink as rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment. He gave his other hand to Juvia.
'Can I have this dance ?'
He looked away and blushed a little more. He had always hated dancing, but yet he hoped Juvia would accept. She smiled and put her hand in his. Gray pulled her closer to him and put his arm around her waist. They danced shyly, to the beat of the music. Their embarrassment quickly vanished. Gray hugged her a little more and Juvia rested her head on his shoulder. The music stopped but they did not realize it. Juvia looked up, losing herself in Gray's eyes. He moved his lips close to hers and they kissed. The musicians began to play a very good rhythm music, but Gray and Juvia continued to kiss, dancing to the beat of their own music.
