It was the night of a new moon. A young man of 40 was walking through a forest that he knew all too well. He had walked through this path many times before. This time, he was not here for the usual reasons. This time he was here to confront his fears and put a definite end on them. Reaching his destination, the small clearing in East City, he saw the man who had the answers to his questions right now.
"Whatever you have to say, make it quick", the man said. "I want to know what is going on" "Be specific Boy" "Trunks and Pan. What is going on between them?", Gohan asked. "Nothing" "Don't lie Vegeta. I saw you observing them yesterday at the party. I thought it must be because they got close during the space trip.But that's not it.You know what is happening. Tell me", Gohan demanded.
"They are bonding", Vegeta said. "They were together in space for a year. Haven't they bonded enough?" This irritated the Saiyan Prince. "No you fool! They are bonding ! Don't you remember what I told you when you were getting married? They are bonding the saiyan way. They have chosen each other. Does that ring a bell?"
The stunned Gohan was taking his time to process this. He said,"So you are saying that..that..." "That my son and your daughter have chosen each other to be mates, unconsciously I may add. They don't know for their life what is happening. And now they are bonding".
"How do I stop it?"
"Excuse me?", Vegeta looked at him as if he had grown another head.
"How do I stop them from bonding?"
"Were you not listening to me when I talked to you about this before your marriage? You can't stop it. Why do you even want to stop it?"
Gohan looked offended at that question. "Trunks is 10 years Older than Pan. If that isn't enough, he has a reputation of changing girlfriends as if they were clothes. There is no way I'm letting My daughter have that kind of relation with him."
"You should know better than to listen to rumours Boy. Anyways, I hate to disappoint you but", he said smirking, "there is nothing that you can do to stop it. They are going to mate regardless of what you do" "Not if I'm alive", the son of Kakkarot bellowed, "I'll do whatever I can to stop it". And with he proceeded to walk away.
"Boy!", Vegata's shout stopped Gohan on his tracks. "Know this. If you meddle in between, everyone will get hurt and it will be on you. And no matter what you do, they will be together in the end."
