Background: Inferno was born on the Brightest Night from the runty egg that a hatchery guard hid from Queen Scarlet's massacre. His mother lied to Queen Scarlet and said that Inferno was born the day of the Brightest Night instead of the night, although he was born on the Brightest Night. Inferno was too small to join the army, according to Queen Scarlet so, he served as a guard to the prisoners. The real reason that he was held back from the army was that he was born so close to the Brightest Night and Queen Scarlet wanted to keep him where she could watch him closely. He was given the job of supplying the prisoners the food and water and checked their bindings. Despite not fighting in the war, Inferno was given extensive battle train to help control the prisoner. He learned how to use his small size to his advantage and learned to used his large wings to boost his speed. He held great resentment for being held back from the army, this resentment increased when his childhood friend, Carnelian, was sent to war and he could not go with her.

Background: Slipstream is the son of Queen Coral and King Gill. Slipstream likes to keep out of the way of the palace dragons and prefers to spend his days swimming in the open oceans alone. Slipstream does not like Anemone, he thinks she is selfish and full of herself. Slipstream is friendly with the Queen's other sons but not particularly close with any of them. When he went to the Talons of Power Test, he fails it, like his younger brother, Turtle. He enchanted the coconut in his mind to be impervious to animus spells, so when he told it to move it did not. Additionally, Slipstream dislikes the war and believed that the Seawings should wait out of the war in the Deep Palace. Slipstream was remarkably close with his father, King Gill, and was heartbroken when he was captured.

Background: Sandstar is the daughter of Blister and Morrowseer. After the Nightwings allied with Princess Blister, Morrowseer fell in love with Blister and they married, thus cemented their alliance and love. Although Morrowseer was originally mated to Secretkeeper they were only together to have dragonets and with the permission of Blister, who understood the situation since it was like the Breeding Program. Sandstar was born under a full moon and received mind-reading powers. She never told her parents about her powers due to seeing things in their minds. Despite this Sandstar loves her parents dearly as they love her. Sandstar learns through her powers that the prophecy was fake as well as the fact that the Talons of Peace work of Blister. She also learned the approximate location of the Dragonets of Destiny. Sandstar is also the older half-sister of Moonwatcher.

Background: Nightshade is the son of Obsidian and Princess Greatness, who was on a mission to Blister's fortress when she laid Nightshade's egg. Due to the horrible conditions of the Nightwing's home, Nightshade's egg was several weeks early. Not daring to try to fly back to the volcano with the egg in case of it being damaged, Blister and Morrowseer allowed her to stay in her fortress until it hatched. Because of this, Nightshade hatched under the light of a full moon and gained mind-reading powers. Later, Nightshade was Deathbring's apprentice assassin on the island and is an expert in plants and poison. The only dragon he ever told about his powers was Deathbringer, who became an adopted older brother, he advised him to not tell the other Nightwings.

Background: Oleander was always unusual for a Rainwing much less lazy and sleep. Always trying to improve the tribe. She believes that the way Rainwings rule themselves is redundant. She is adventurous and brave. Oleander likes to explore the Rain Forest while the others are asleep. On these adventures, she discovered the Nightwing tunnels and the Nightwings in the forest, although none of the Rainwings listened to her.

Background: Frostbite is a 5th Circle Icewing, which is named after the ancient Icewing animus who created the Moon Globe Tree. He became a healer in Glacier's army as soon as he was old enough. Frostbite always hated wars and disliked Blaze. Considering her unfit to rule anything. He believed that the war was pointless and unnecessary. He did dislike Mudwings and Nightwings like most Icewings but is more open-minded than most. He likes to help any dragon no matter the tribe.

Background: Crane is one of the six children of Cattail and an unknown father. Once of age, she became a soldier in Queen Moorhen's army along with her other siblings. Despite being a soldier, Crane hated fighting and harming dragons and preferred playing the mud with her sibs. Crane and the rest of her sibs always regretted the loss of the Big wings who were sold by their mother for s couple of cows.
