I never created Superman TAS.
The sight of one territorial animal appearing was why Amos tensed. The cause of one sudden scowl appearing on his face.
He attempted to remember his options if he was forced to defend himself. Perhaps one tentacle from his mouth or chest. Fangs if the animal pinned him down. His eyes remained on the latter while it approached him.
Amos cried out the minute its tail struck him. Caused him to contact one side of a Smallville general store.
He winced as his body slid down. Scowling, he stood and focused on the territorial creature.
Amos recalled checking on Martha Kent earlier. Worry formed in his eyes the minute she collapsed in his arms. She was important to the preacher. Taking him in when his master decided that he was useless. Clothing him. Feeding him. Never giving him wet cat food or replacing his toilet with a litter box as pranks.
His emotions for Martha? He buried them.
Martha also never had a tight leash for Amos. Never scowled as he performed sermon marathons.
Amos wasn't going to glower under the creature. One tentacle emerged from his mouth and struck the side of the creature's body repeatedly. It returned to him after it fled. He smirked.
The preacher walked into the general store before he bought medicine. He refused to imagine sobbing near Martha's bed if she...
Was Amos going to sob with and without Martha? At least the creature never scratched him and revealed his blue boxers. Amos wasn't going to be found injured and sobbing. Eventually glowering with Martha and Jonathan if his daughter returned after midnight. He refused to recall his past. Maybe later.
After Amos returned to Martha's bed, he gave her the medicine. He smiled with Martha as tears streamed down his face.
There was one nod from Amos.
