Supergirl expected a Smallville creature to appear by a general store. She remembered hungry animals finding things to eat within it every now and then. Supergirl also recalled Reverend Amos Howell appearing her occasionally. Reminding her about lunches or curfew. How nosy Amos was. She began to smile. ''Not a single nosy preacher around,'' she muttered.
Supergirl's eyes settled on a hungry creature the minute it appeared near the store. ''You're not eating anything,'' she said to it.
She began to fly to the creature. She barely dodged its fangs when it snapped at her. A sudden frown replaced her smile. ''You're not eating anyone.''
After Supergirl kicked the creature's side, she was struck by its tail. She cried out when she was knocked down. She tried to stand before the creature raised its claws. Supergirl viewed a tentacle striking the enemy's snout and causing it to step back. Confusion appeared in her eyes for a moment. She looked back. Her wide eyes were on Amos while a tentacle slid into his mouth.
The creature began to flee.
Supergirl stood before Amos joined her side. She thought he smiled.
''Are you happy about a nosy preacher following you in order to save you from creatures?''
Supergirl glowered and refused to say anything.
