Notes: I do not own the legend of zelda botw or its sequel. I will be putting some fan theories to use that are not my own as well as my imagination. There might be some romance but not much, sorry. There will be a lot of violence at some points but I'll try not to describe it too badly. Death of major characters. This is my first fanfic so enjoy. This wil take place after completing 120 shrines, korok seeds, both DLC packs, all memories, and defeating gannon. Third person POV.

Link woke up in his house by Hatento village with a big yawn. His while body ached because he slept in a makeshift bed under the stairs of his house. He could still hear Zelda softly breathing as she slept in his bed upstairs. He always woke up this early. His internal clock told him it was around 5:00 in the morning, so he started hunting early. He silently slipped off his covers heading to the door. When he went to open it the door Zelda stirred. Link froze, staring at Zelda to make sure she still asleep. After what seemed like an eternity, was he finally slipped out of the door, leting out a huge sigh of relief. Link walked over to the bridge, down the pathway, past the guard holding a pitchfork, and into the forest. Ever since he defeated the calamity known as Gannon, the monsters have been few and thin. As Result, this allowed more wildlife to flourish. His keen senses told him that a boar was nearby. Instantly, he crouched, reaching bach for his bow. The boar looked around and started to run but it was too late as the boar fell to the ground with a puff of smoke. After inspeacting the meat left behind, he was satified. After all, he wasn't much of a picky eater. Especially these days. Zelda had been through so much now, that Link knew that she wouldn't mind his decent cooking. Once he had come back the way he came, he caught glimses of the children running about playing tag. Going back up the bridge to his cooking pot, he couldn't help but admire the house that he lived in. As he was in the middle of cooking, Zelda came out dressed in her clothes. Ever since the calamity, Zelda was determined to be of more help to her people. She felt like she needed to be there on the front lines where the action is instread of bunched up and protected. Zelda had packed up her old dress in the storage after given more apropriate clothing for traveling. After link had finished cooking, he gave Zelda her prime meat skewer. Shortly after Zelda reached into her pockets to reveal her study journal. Link didn't really mind but to Zelda it was priceless. Zelda soon began mumbling to herself about the sheikah. Link glanced over to see the schematics of divine beast Vah Ruta. Zelda couldn't understand why everything stopped working. All of the divine beast, shrines, and towers deactivated. Vah Ruta was the first to deactivate so Zelda wanted to study it in particular first. Purah just thought that they had served their purpose so they weren't needed anymore. Zelda being Zelda still insisted on studying it. Today the two are going to set off to Zora's Domain to see if King Dorphan or Prince Sidon might have a clue. Zelda and link went to the stalls next to the house tomfeed their horsesmwith carrots. Storm and Epona both greeted their masters eagerly. They both slipped onto their saddles and started riding. They could have walked but Zelda wanted to spend more time with her horse. Right as they were nearing the ancient tech lab, there was a loud crash coming from inside. Both of them got off their horses and ran inside quickly.

"Hey Linky sorry to surprise you but would you mind helping me out here." Purah was an old friend. Due to a failed/succesful expirement, she looked no more than a child." Purah said weakly

Link instantly knew what purah meant just at a glance. Picking up the books that had fallen on top of Purah, Link noticed Zelda and Symin looking over Zeldas study book intently. Link heard Purah cursing at how tiny and clumsy she was. She just wanted one book but of course it had to be on the top shelf. After a few seconds They all settled around the table in the Hateno ancient tech lab to discuss Zeldas recent findings.

"So Zelda, your telling me that these divine beasts run on spirit energy. Hmm..That would explain a lot. Yet that still doesn't explain why everything stopped working. If the four champions spirits just left then the shrines and towers would still be operating right?" Purah inquitisivly asked

"Yes Purah I will look into that when we get to Zora's domain." Zelda responded confidently

They talked about a lot of other matters but link didn't really understand. Zelda learned of Purah working on an anti anti aging rune. Of course Purah wouldn't actually call it that Zelda thought. Because Purah's sheikah slate was a prototype, it was only made for one rune. Purah figured that because Zelda had her study book with all her maps, they could afford a trip to the domain in back without the precious slate. After a few moments of arguing about how her study book doesn't have the different runes, Zelda handed it over. Purah then handed Link and Zelda some provisions that would last them to the domain and possibly back if need be. It took a long time to leave Hateno. Zelda was stopped in the village to conversate with her subjects. The children kept asking her questions about her upcoming journey. All it took was a look from Link to tell Zelda it was time to go. The trip was mostly on horseback, really only stopping to feed the horses endura carrots once in a while. Purah was genrous enough to give enough endura carrots for traveling. When they got to the Midla woods, they went north. It started raining for a while. This slowed the trip quite a bit. Zelda was once again instructing Link on how to take care of his horse. They started riding off torwards the dueling peaks.

It was around noon when they were nearing Fort Hateno on horseback. It was the little woodland behind the fort where Link stopped at the the cabin to pick up more materials for the trip. Dr. Calip was nice man who living here who was also interested in the shrines. He too was currently studying why the shrines disappeared. However, when he shared his findings, it was nothing that they didn't already know. He was ecstatic about helping hyrule's princess in her efforts to help the kingdom. After Link got all packed and was about to leave, zelda wanted to spend the night with Dr. Calip. See if the two could find some breakthroughs of sorts. Link looked like he wanted to get to the domain but Zelda insisted so they stayed the night.

"So, Zelda, I hear that you are well knowledgeable in the sheikah technology, correct?" Calip intrigued

"Yes, I have studied quite a bit into this technology. I don't know why, but I feel if I could find out all I can, I can resolve future calamities. The fact that gannon was so ready and able to control everything was a bit suspicious though, I admit. I'm positive gannon will not fall for the same trick a third time so maybe Hyrule won't use it in the next 10,000 years." Zelda admitted

He seemed satisfied about the answer so he Treated Zelda and Link to lunch before taking them to a graveyard looking place. Calip explained that there used to be a shrine he was studying here. One day while he was walking to check on the shrine, it started sinking. He then bean to explain that weird things always gppen while walking along the woods. The first time he did it, a paper fell out if the tree revealing ancient text. The next time he was walking, he met Link. The third time a shrine popped up,out of nowhere. Lastly the fourth time the shrine just buried itself underground. Right as Zelda was wondering what would happen this time. There were two blue bokoblins tormenting an owl. Zelda felt bad for the poor injured owl so she picked up a rock and threw it at them. That got their attention on her immediately and immediately she was regretting her choice. Both bokoblins pushed against a tree. Just as one was about to strike, Link was there immediately to take action. Parrying the attacking one, then flurry rushing the second one, both bokoblins didn't stand a chance. Calip ran over and picked up the owl and rushed it to the cottage. Brushing away all the stuff off of his desk, he put the owl down as gently as possible. Zelda pulled out her study journal to find out the type of owl it was. Upon closer inspection the owl was pure white with light blue eyes. Dr. Calip asked what kind of owl it was so he could help it. Zelda snapped her focus back onto the book as she was getting carried off. Zelda was shocked at what she found. Or rather, what she didn't find to be more specific. Zelda quickly explains that this type of owl was supposed to be extinct. That there are no records to it. Not even a name or clue as to how to heal it. That was When Dr. Calip started to panic and get very excited. After rummaging through his storage, he pulled out bandages. Zelda was already ahead of him putting on healing salve. Calip was handing Zelda all of his books. "Maybe she just didn't have the need to study animals" he thought. Even though Calip himself also never had the need to study animals, his wife loved animals. Sometimes if Calip started getting bored, he would read the animal books his wife read. Zelda started wishing that she had the sheikah slate to take a picture of the owl. If her study book was right, then the sheikah would have some records of animals from its time. After finding nothing, they were satisfied that this was all they could do. Zelda sat at the desk, ate, and went to bed. Dr. Calip was in bed snoring softly, Link was alert watching Zelda, and Zelda was watching over the white owl. Zelda unrolled her sleeping bag and tucked herself in. After a while they all went to sleep.

Link was in a deep sleep which was unusual for him. He normally slept very llightly and able to wake up at a moments notice, no matter what. Link found himself stanting at the military training camp. In this dream he was already exhusted, dragging his feet to the barracks nearby. Link was 10 at the time he was exhausted. You wouldn't go to training camp until you were at least sixteen but these were desperate times. After eating the stamina restoring food, he was filled with energy. So he wanted to take a look outside. He quickly saw a flash of light as a white owl flashed before his eyes. After debating with himself whether or not he should go, his curiosity and courage got the best of him. He started running at the bird to the edge of the lost woods where he saw what looked like an entrance. the bird was perched on the torche's end looking at Link with clear blue eyes. It started flying again. seemingly being guided by the winds until it reached a downward slope. Link thought that the bird hit a dead end but before he could catch it, he lost sight of the bird. Panicking he heard a voice of a woman talking to someone. She had a light, beautiful voice. One of angels talking to what sounded like an old man. Then Link followed the voices until he snapped a twig. Link caught a glimpse of what looked like the princess Zelda running away from a giant tree into the woods. He still wondered who the old man was that the princess was talking to. Then Link saw a beautiful sword right in front of him. Shining in the pedestal in front of the giant tree which Link swore had a face. Then he walked up to the sword in a trance. The second he reached for the sword, the giant tree sprung to life. Warning the young Boy to go back where he came from. Link explained he didn't exactly know how to get back. He just followed a beutiful looking owl here. The elder tree looked back with shock. Link blushed thinking that only a fool would believe his story. To his surprised the tree responded to him.

"Ah my friend has came to lead you. I havn't seen her since nearly 50,000 years. If she lead you here then I will allow to to pull this legendary sword. I must warn you child that the sword will not hand its will over to you easily. I trust my friends judgement so I will let you try. The swords name is the master sword. It is also be known as the sword that seals the darkness or the blade of evils bane."

The great Deku Gathered the koroks in case the boy was not worthy. Link gathered all his might and courage and started pulling the sword. He could feel all of the koroks watching him with excitement. The blade was draining energy from him, making Link feel super weak. Each time he felt like giving up, the blade would loosen. After what seemed like hours in a few minutes the blade was finally pulled. The koroks cheered calling the boy Mr. Hero.

"Ah, my friend's judgement is never wrong, she used to visit me fairly often when she was concerned. Much like the princess. Glad to see she is still soaring through the skies. Enough about what I'm saying, your friends back at camp are looking for you. Be warned, now that you have the sword, you will bear more pressure and resposibility than ever before."

Link woke up with a start. He was sure it was a memory but, they haven't came through dreams before. Maybe the owl must've triggered something. It couldn't be the same owl! Link was pretty sure an owl's lifespan wasn't close to 100 years. Besides if The Great Deku Tree was right about the 50,000 years then it would have surly been at the end of its life. Zelda was surprisingly already up already talking urgently with Dr. Calip. Thats when you notice the desk is empty. Link somehow found a way to reassure Zelda that this owl is known for disappearing. Zelda knew better than to ask Link how he knew. Link had a way of knowing the most strange things. After all, what else could he have learned since she was stuck inside the castle. Calip gave them some breakfest before they started packing up. Calip showed Zelda one last device he thought she should have. It was something that Purah wanted to look at. Just another sheikah slate upgrade. Zelda concluded with a sigh. She thought it was a fantastic artifact that she could study. Then Dr. Calip took out an old worn down book. Beedle gave it to me. Don't know how he got it but it's from the hebra region. I Needed to give this to Purah. No reading it! Link and Calip planned the route they would travel on. Zelda asked if Calip would come but he declined. After that, Link and Zelda were on their way. Zelda and Link had walked over the route a thousand times. From fort Hateno, they were going follow the path to the dueling peaks stable, then continue past the dueling peaks, across proxim bridge, turn at gate post ruins, and stop at the riverside stable for the night. Hopefully they will get to the domain in less than 2 days. Link quickly stopped at camphor pond. Zelda waited as Link took out the monsters on the racetrack nearby. Even with the fewer monsters, there were some still monsters left behind. They didn't want to take any chances On trying to sneak by or fight. Link stopped to get a quick run in to check in with the locals. One of the twins told link where all the upcoming monsters were spotted. Leaving the stable with this newfound information, they headed out once again. They stopped at proxim bridge for a break. Their horses were lapping water from the river. Zelda refilled her bottle so that they would have a drink during lunchtime. They later persuaded their horses to continue on their path. It was now lunchtime as they stopped once again. This time they stopped at the gatepost town ruins by the forest of time. Zelda unpacked the sandwiches that Calip was kind enough to give them. The water Zelda packed was being split among the smaller bottles. Cupping her hands, Zelda let the horses drink a little more. Zelda once again pulled out her study journal and sat down amoung the various ruins. In her study journal she had the information of the ancient sheilds. Purah gave this to her as a gift from Robbie. "Link, could you show me your gaurdian sheild please?" Link then got up to get the sheild he left on his horse. Zelda then compared the sheild to her notes. Link, as usual, was back to shoving food in his mouth. Saddling back up on their horses and riding out was easy. All they had to do was pack up their stuff and calm their horses. Zelda couldn't help but get a little bored. No matter how much she tried to keep herself company, she just couldn't. Link was a man of few words so striking up a conversation was nearly impossible. Zelda didn't mind but she couldn't help but feel like she was talking to a brick wall. Getting to the riverside stable was a breeze. After all Link knew the way as well as all the monster locations. The only monster that caused them to lose some time was the stray wizzrobe that was prancing further along the ruins. At the stable everyone was sleeping. Only the stable owner and some late travelers were awake. Zelda attempted to buy a soft bed but the owner refused. He felt honored to house the princess overnight. Zelda winced when someone else once again called her a princess. Zelda at times was so adventurous that she forgot her other duties. Zelda thought the title meant nothing these days. After all, she felt like she really was the princess of nothing. Zelda was grateful that hyrule wasn't mad that all of hyrule was in ruins because of her mistake. Everyone really was too kind. The stable owner gave both link and zelda soft beds after Zelda giving the owner a little amunt of rupes. The owner at the very least gave both of them a secret discount. After admiring the bed for a bit, Zelda fell asleep.

In Zelda's dream, she saw a bunch of monsters gathering underground. The monsters didn't seem to see her. Despite this she still felt like she was being watched from all directions. The very thought unsettled her. Then she saw her mom venturing down into the various caves. She looked like a terrific fighter. Zelda couldn't help but admire her mother's bravery. Zelda's mother dances like Urbosa. So clean yet so strong. Her mother was following the family owl. Zelda then remembered that she forgot that the white animal she saved belonged to her in a way. The owl was the second symbol of Hyrule's royal family. The first was that of the legendary triforce. Her mother after fighting all of the gathering monsters, dissapeared around the corner. Curious, Zelda followed silently. Rounding the corner was a smaller cave. This cave had a homey feeling to it. A small worn down rug in the middle. A flate stone that was kind of rouned on the sides was on top of the rug. Then a bunch of leaves and a quilt was off to the side. Zelda always remembered her mother taking trips. All of those trips however was to see her friend Urbosa. She never really recalled when her mother ever had the time to do a trip long enough to live in a cave system. The thought of seeing her mother with Urbosa brought her nearly to tears. Because of Zelda's training to stay composed, she had a lot of times where he had to have control of her feelings. Zelda then watched as her mother took out two stones and clicked them together over a small hole filled with sticks. Her mother huddled around the fire and started cooking some food to eat. Near the back if the cave ran a small freshwater spring that fish would get lost in. Her mother then sat down on the roundish rock, grabbed another sharp rock nearby, and started sharpening a sword. Then her mother ate and went to bed.

Zelda was woken up with a start by Link. Normally Zelda eould sleep in but Zelda had told Link to wake her up in order to get their quick enough to not be late. Sidon most likely got the letter that Purah sent in advance. Hopefully the letter didn't break in the river. The red packaging was not the most reliable. Even is Sidon didn't get the letter, a friendly surprise woudn't hurt. The Zora are so nice to the royal family, or any traveller really. They are renown for their great hospitality. Link was looking froward to seeing Sidon again as well. Sidon was energetically easy to get along with. Zelda only remembered Sidon when he was young and himself into fights he couldn't win, now Sidon is older and hopefully less likely to kill himself. Sadly King. Dorphan was nearing the end of his life soon. Zelda wanted to ask the edely king some important questions before he passes. Link motioned Zelda to come over to the table jnside the stable. As Zelda was hurrying over, Link reached into his pocket to get the map. Zelda watched as he traced his finger over the route that they should go. Even though cutting through the wetlands would be faster. The lizalfoes and water could make the trip tske longer. Zelda didn't want her horse to be electrocuted anytime soon. They were going to go over Horwell and Eagus bridge, then have lunch at the wetland stable. Then past Rebonea, over thims, cross inogo, and from the was a pathway leading straight to the domain. Then Zoras, upon being freed from Ruta and hearing of the defeated calamity, wiped out the monsters from Inogo to the actual domain itself. The old monster camps now serve as checkpoints where Zora soldiers would keep watch. Saddling buck up yet again, Zelda couldn't help but think of her mysterious dream. She just thought that her mind was playing tricks on her. After all it was a dream and Zelda always wished her mother didn't die. Link asked the locals for upcoming monsters. The only monster was flowerblight gannon the locals joked. The joke was made because if you touched any of the flowers on the flowerbed in the river, you would get attacked. Link couldn't help but smile at that joke. At Horwell Zelda gathered more watee and left. By the flowerbed, the two made sure not to get anywhere remotely near it. Honestly when Zelda first heard of this woman she couldn't believe it. Yet something told her she didn't want to find out if those roomers were true. Zelda loved the fact that a woman cared enough about nature and just flowers in general to plant a garden taking up the whole island but attacking someone over it was a little unbelievable. Zelda knew they were a little more than halfway there. After seeing a little bit of the wetlands, Zelda knew that the wetland stable couldn't be much farther so she sped her horse up to a trot. Sadly though if everything hadn't deactivated then they coud have done the entire trip in 5 minuites. The sheikah slate became practically useless in the teleportation department overnight. Because the tech labs were run on furnace energy instead of spirit energy, the two tech labs were still fast travel points. The wet land stable was just that, wet. The wood was water resistant but the underside of the wood was clearly soaked. Once again, a stable owner offered free hospitality. The owner gave them some stew to sip on for lunch. They were gathering materials quicker than they could use them. They sold some supplies to Beedle while the others were donated to the stable. Zelda studied the wildlife at the stable. Just in case she had to end up tending to another animal again. Then she mumbled that the ancient furnaces burned the extra spirit energy so that there wasn't and energy leaking out into the world. The energy that was burned is what gives the tech labs their fuel. Even though the shrines are deactivated Zelda suspects that they still are activly maintaining themselvs for the next hero.

"Thank you stable owner for your hospitality!" Zelda shouted

"I should be thanking you for everything. You didn't need to donate all of this useful supplies. Anyways, Good luck on your trip. If your going to the Zora's domain then this should be your final stretch!" The owner said happily.

With that information and newfound energy, they continued onwards to the domain.

The final stretch was by far the most enjoyable of the trip. The first lookout alerted the domain immediatly when he saw us. Sidon was racing down the river in a matter of seconds to meet them. Sidon leaped out of the river with the beauty and grace of a zora and the speed of a lizalfos. Saying that Sidon was huge was an understatement. Standing next to Zelda only made him look taller. Link and Zelda were small for the avarage hylian but Sidon was giant for the avarage zora. King Dorphan was on a hole different scale in size. This was Zelda's first time meeting him after gannon had been defeated. Sidon was to young to remember Zelda but Zelda remembered Sidon and his dear sister Mipha very clearly. Zelda held no resentment to Mipha about Link. Mipha would have been perfect for Link should things have turned out differently. Knowing that made Zelda all the more sad that Mipha had to die. Sidon, seeing Zelda's mood change, guessed what she was thinking about.

"Cheer up Zelda! Mipha came to be the Zora champion fully knowing the risk and was ready to take it. As for the King, he has been eagerly awaiting your arrival. We got the note, despite the fact that the package system isn't the best."Sidon reported

"But Sidon! If it wern't for me then you would have had a better relationship with your sister and I should have gotten someone else to pilot Vah Ruta!" Zelda fretted

"Zelda, if it was any Zora, it would have had to be Mipha no matter what. Ruta didn't respond to any of the other Zora. But I guess I guessed correctly."Sidon reassured

Sidon then did his winning smile. Zelda then knew why Link was looking forward to the trip. Sidon led them up the path to his home with more enthusiasm than any of the other champion decendants. Teba the Rito decedent was more laid back and wise. He was however ready to risk his life for his village. Yubono was more scared but softhearted, a ready protecter of the gorons. Riju was strond and determined, devoting her time to leading the gerudo. As for Sidon, he is energetic and the champion ready for action. Sidon led them through the twisty pathway to the end where the domain was. On the way there he couldn't stop talking about how excited he was when he found out. He and the rest of the Zora prepared everything for them. King Dorphan would prefer to see them right away before they went and did anything else. Zelda really wanted to have someone to talk to so she was quick to hit up a conversation. Link was slightly behind staying silent, listening on his surroundings. In fact link was so quiet that at times Zelda and Sidon thought Link wasn't there. As they were on the leadt bridge before entering, Sidon sprinted ahead of the rest straight to the entrance.

Sidon and company went up to the throne room. In the courtyard Zelda was met with a giant realistic Mipha statue. Happy to see that her friend had a monument in her honor, her mood lifted a little. The luminous stone was a great building materieal for the domain. It reflected the natural beauty wherever anyone went. King Dorphan had kind of a tint of grey that was hard to spot. He did't look the best but his friendly mood made up for it. He wasn't getting that much sleep and he was very ill. Over time the king started giving tasks to Sidon. This kept Sidon very busy and a little stressed.

" Ah, Zelda, you came. I was worried you wouldn't make it. I hope that Sidon has been good to you. Now I would like to tell you that Ruta has slowly been sinking underwater ever since it was deactivated. This is causing the waters to rise once again. Because of the heavy rainfall, the dam might overflow. As mentioned to Link, hylian lives are in danger." King Dorphan warned.

"If I may King Dorphan, I might have an answer and some more questions for that. The reason why Ruta is sinking underwater is because it's purpose might have been fufilled but I dont understand how its still moving if its deactivated. Also, Ruta was found at the Uria Grotto correct? I believe that Ruta made the Grotto's water rise to hide itself. Effectivly making it look like a natural formed lake. We need to find a way to move it back to the Grotto without activating it again. I dont want to call upon Mipha's spirit. Her spirit deserves to rest." Zelda considered

"Good thought went into this. You are a great princess and Hyrule is lucky to have you as it's leader. I have an answer to moving Ruta. We will need to activate it again temporarily but not by Mipha. Sidon has beed able to contro it to the best of his ability. Although he isn't trained in controlling a divine beast." King Dorphan responded.

"Great, now that this is resolved, its getting late. I'll show you around in the morning. The inn has already made beds especially comfy for you two."Sidon interrupted.

Link and Zelda were quickly guided to the inn and the innkeeper tucked them in wishing them good luck on Vah Ruta. The next day was better than the previous. Link, now have slept in a Zora bed, was no longer sore. Zelda slept in until 7:00 instead of the usual waking up at 5:00. Link started to take a stroll around the luxurious domain. It wasn't lonk until Sidon found out he was up. The children as usual, was running around the domain. The miment sidon came by they were all swooning over that priceless smile. Sidon loved that about the children of the domain. After all, they veiwed him like a celebrity. It was cute to say the least. Sidon and Link went onto the bridge in front of the domain gazing upon the still morning waters. It was very misty during the summer mornings in this area. All of the domain hovered above the waters. Putting the domain above waters was good for the Zora because of two reasons. The firse one being a quick escape route as all they had to do was jump. The second being that the Zora, being an aquatic race, needed to be around a water source to swim. If it wern't for link's keen senses, Sidon wouldn't have known Zelda was coming. Zelda started sketching the view of the domain to put next to the map in her journal. Zelda vas very much an artist who never had the time to really get into her passions. In most cases, she didn't have much sources of inspiration. Sidon leaned against the rail studying the picture. Just then, Zelda's stomach grumbled. Sidon jumped at the noise, calling all the cooks to make breakfast. The three were getting seafood fried rice. Link was on his 3rd bowl while Zelda and Sidon were finishing their first. When they were done relaxing, they got to work. Sidon climed into Ruta and started walking to the heart of the divine beast. He touched the heart where a quick jolt went through him. The divine beast woke started glowing while quickly getting waking up. Sidon immediatly started commanding the beast to stop sinking. Ruta only slowed down but didn't completely stop. Thats when the dam started breaking with a loud crack!

The three quickly hurried hurried out side where streams if water started jutting out. At the rate that the water was leaking, the dam would break tomorrow. Sidon started demanding Ruta to stop more urgently, his voice getting more and more desperate with every command. Zelda pulled Ruta's schamatics out. She was trying to remember how Mipha succeeded and Zelda was wondering what Mipha had that Sidon needed.

"Sidon, we need you to calm down. Ruta needs a clear commander! It doesn't know who to take orders from. It still listenes to Mipha. Command it and believe in Ruta! Sidon were counting on you."Zelda urged

Link left to evacuate the hylians further down the dam. Even though they wouldn't be able to evacuate all of them at least the zora were helping. Back at the domain, Zelda was outside studying Ruta further. Sidon was inside the beast shouting hopeless orders. Then Dorphan huffed out of his throne and headed through the domain. This worried the zora as it confirmed a problem. Sidon wanted so bad to protect the kingdom of hyrule, that he shouted Ruta to stop. Just then Ruta stopped sinking and actually started rising again. The waters started to lower to usual height. Zelda sighed out of relief and sent a few zora to tell link. It took an hour for Link to come back after being told. All the hylians have started moving back in.

"We can't have it become this dangerous. If Link and I were late, Ruta would have flooded a quarter of Hyrule! We need a way to know the Zora are safe anchampion of sorts." Zelda wondered.

Sidon jumped out of Ruta with a giant smile growing across his face. Just as his smile couldn't get any bigger, he saw Zelda and his smile became gigantic. Link walked over and said nothing. His body language said that he was relieved. Dorphan limped over weakly. Dorphan then fell in the water and started sinking slowly. Sidon dived into the water, desperately trying to stop his dad from sinking but Zelda knew that it wasn't nearly enough. Right as the thought of dispear creeped up on her, King Dorphan sunk under the water. Ruta responded by lifting him with its trunk but it was to late. Dorphan died. Filled with sadness and grief, Sidon's smile became nonexistent. Sidon hated himself with a passion. He could have saved his father if he had just gotten Ruta under control sooner. The way back to the domain was somber to say the least. The Zora all came up to the resiviour to pay their respects. They buried the King next to Ruta where his spirit could swim amoung the waves and see his daughter inside the divine beast. It was beter that way. The whole domain wasn't going to stay somber! Not on Zelda's watch!

"Okay everyone! Listen the recent disaster has shook us all but we need to recover stronger than ever. Sidon will lead you as the heir to the throne. Link and I will help you recover. With Ruta now under control, we will start the project of preserving and burying it! The ceremony is starting tomorrow." Zeldy proclaimed.

Sidon couldn't help but admire her unwavering will. Zelda was the one that should be the one breaking down. The calamity took everything from her. The death of King Dorphan meant that there were only 3 people in the entire world that was a close friend of hers from 100 years ago, and Link was almost unrecognizable at first for Zelda. Impa was at the end of her life to and Purah is working on reversing her age. Zelda is the most strong willed that he had ever met.

"Zelda is right, I will lead you. We will get over this obstacle and become stronger!"

Sidon repped all of the Zora. Zelda smiled at walked over to Sidon with Link close behind. Zelda was proud of Sidon and everything that he said. She herself was unsure that getting the sour mood lifted was going to be easier than that. They all went to bed, tommorow was going to be a long day.

Planning the party this important in less than a day seemed impossible. Sidon was regretting what he had said. He kept telling himself he wasn't ready to rule. It all happened so fast. The children, oblivious, were only thinking about the party. The adults were only thinking of the Kings death. Link, Sidon, and Zelda were only thinking about the mess they had gotten themselves into. Zelda was off entertaining the kids so they wouldn't get in the way. Sidon was Leading the decorating with the Zora adults. Link was on gaurd duty by himself. Zelda was worried about him gaurding the domain by himself. After all, even though the monsters are mostly mindless somehow they always show up at the wrong time. A domain that is recovering from a disaster would be a beacon for monster attacks. Sidon reassured Zelda earlier that Link was more than capable of handling lots of monsters. After all, Link did save all of Hyrule nearly single handedly, he was given orders to warn the domain first, then fight. Zelda was showing the zora children several artifacts and their informantion in her journal. Zelda always loved children, perhaps even more than her study of artifacts, though she won't admit it. Meanwhile Link was walking around the outside of the domain, on high alert. He was watching a bunch of bokoblins and a moblin gathering behind the domain at the Toto lake, hiding amound some ruins. The four bokoblins and moblin were easy targets for Link to beat. He knows he's beaten worse but he knows he should study the situation. Two electric lizalfoes were added into the situation and Link immediatly started to worry. In a couple of hours, 20 electric lizalfoes, 15 moblins, 25 bokoblins, and three silver lynels. Then the red lynel that lives by shatterback point dropped some malice onto the ruins. The malice quickly spread, turning the water into malice. Then the monsters each grabbed the malice in their fists and headed to the lake the domain was built upon. Link was clinging onto the ruin wall, surrounded by a lake full of malice. When his senses told him the monsters were gone, he quickly hurried to the domain. It was noon and Zelda sent word to Link that the ceromony had started.

"Do you, Sidon, promise to protect the domain and lead it fairly like your faithful father?" Muzu said

"Yes, I do" Sidon said confidently.

"Then may you rule forever!" Muzu declared

All of the Zora cheered, some mourned, and some were just focousing on the party. Sidon and Zelda were talking about how great the party was. Now the dinner was brought out, everybody was talking at their tables. Sidon was busy eating his favorite dishes. Zelda was so honored to be able to help so much. She started wondering where Link had gone off to. He should have gotten back by now. Especially a request that was directly from the princess he was bound to. The party was very joyful but it didn't last long.

1 hour earlier: Link was following the monsters slowly. He had to warn the domain but there were to many of them on the lookout to possibly get past. Going all the way around would take too long. He started sneaking his way through. After all, he didn't have any other choice. When he was about to go, an electric electrocuted him. The bokoblins tied Link up and shoved him in the middle of camp. Link was in a very bad situation. A moblin picked him up and shoved him in a cave when makimg it to the domain. The electric wizrobe made quick work of any unfortunate traveler or Zora that dares to stand in it's way. Beedle, who happened to be traveling saw the hordes of monsters and hid in a bush. Beedle made a run for it. The monsters saw him immediately. He was screaming help the entire time he was running. Beetle made it to the domain just in time. It was almost time for the dessert until Beetle came in drawing a commotion. Zelda and Sidon quickly ran to the entrance. All of the gaurds ran to their weapons. Zelda started asking Beetle questions. The answer that he gave filled them all with dread. Zelda sprung right into action, gathering the children and hurrying them out. Together, they all jumped off of the domain edge straight into the water. Seconds later shouting was heared above the domain. Beetle jumed down and followed Zelda and the children away from the battle, where she hoped they would stay safe. They headed northeast a bit huddled in the Upland Zorana. Zelda started telling stories of when they were adventuring 100 years ago. It wasn't a long time until the children started asking where Link was. Zelda started wondering the same, hoping that he would come to save them soon. From the Zorona they saw crackles of lightning. Zelda knew that the Zora didn't stand a chance. Zelda heared a couple monsters coming by and beconed the children into the same bush Beetle hid in earlier. Then she saw Link. He was being held by a bunch of silver moblins. 5 to be exact. Zelda wanted to help him but she couldn't break their cover. The kids were in danger if she did. She snuck out of the bush, leaving Beetle in charge of the children. Zelda recklessely attacked the moblins, drawing her royal broadsword, royal shield, and readied her royal bow. She left the bow of light with the great deku tree. Link left the master sword with the Deku Tree as well and has been using a royal broadsword as well. Link looked unarmed and his weapons were no where to be found. Zelda was quickly cornered against a hill. When she thought that she was going to die where she stands, all of the children picked up sticks and started confusing the monsters. Zelda started cutting through the ropes while trying to wake Link up. Link woke up slowly until he noticed the fighting going on around him. Zelda threw him an extra travelers sword, shield, and bow to work with. With a groggy headache, he went to work. Link took out monster by monster sleepy yet fully awake. He noticed all of the children taking it one monster at a time. It was cute to Link to see them fighting with so much courage. He knew that Sidon would be very proud of the Zora children. Zelda called themchildren after taking out the last monster with a final push. Then Zelda told Link of the electric monsters invading the domain. The two were determined to help so they left Beetle in charge of the children.

Link and Zelda sprinted to the domain as fast as their little hylian legs could take them. The sprint to the domain made Link and Zelda exhausted. Sidon greeted them with a worn down smile. He had schorch marks all over him and the rest of the zora did too. A lot of the mother Zora was busy healing all of the burns. Sidon refused to be healed until the threat was over. At the very least he wouldn't be healed until the rest of the fighting soldiers were healed, arguing that they needed it more than him. Link and Zelda were givin a small break however the break wasn't happy or talkative. Sidon didn't even have time to joke, rest, or give a status report to Link and took his travelers sword and started getting to work. He took out the main threat with Zelda next to him. The giant electric wizrobe that was conjuring up ,ore electric enemies. To the Zora, every one electric lizalfoes they killed, they lost 5 soldiers. Nobody had died yet due to the nurses. Sidon wished they had his sister's healing power. This would have made the battle easier. Link split off to help some struggeling soldiers, and Zelda and Sidon decided to watch eachothers back. Zelda couldn't help but blush slightly at seeing Links's strength. So much stronger than hers yet so humbly silent about it" It hurt Zelda a little that she had become someone who was always in need of rescuing. Sidon jabbed at the lizalfoes, keeping them at bay while, Z lda would get up close with her rubber shock resistant armor. Later Link came back looking rediculous. His hair was frizzy with burn't marks all over him. He honestly looked like he warched Robbie fail another science project. He gave the thunder helm to sidon after retrieving it from the cave where the monsters stashed his stuff in. Link gave back the travelers sword. Sidon, now shock proof from the thunder helm, was more confident. As brainless as those monsters seem to be, they retreated as Sidon was swinging his trodent around. They somehow knew that Sidon was more confident and started to give ground. The leftover soldiers rallied pushing the monsters back to the room where the shrine used to be. One of the leftover moblins swung it's club and hit Mipha's statue. Sadly, Sidon watched as his sister crumbled. Zelda had pity on Sidon while she looked in shock fir a second before a bokobling smacked her. Zelda got mad at seeing Sidon upset so her powers kickstarted, this time her friendship with Mipha was all it took. The monsters that didn't retreat before, were evaporated into nothing. Zelda was shocked at the fact her powers still worked well enough to save the entire domain. Sidon sent some of the least injured to get Beedle and the children who were hiding somewhere.

Beetle hid the children at the Veiled falls. When he heared a Zora coming, he thought the Zora call was a trick. He held the children back as the gaured passed by. Then one escaped and rejoiced at seeing a Zora soldier survive. Beetle thought at the very least suspicious. He was sure all the electric monsters would have sealed the aquatic kingdom's fate. Anybody who has heared of the Zora should probably need to know the terrible weakness the entire race has to electricity. Before Divine Beast Vah Ruta started turning against the people, electric items of any kind were not allowed into the domain. Link was given an exception as he needed to bring electric equipment to appease the great beast. When one was allowed, the Zora loosened the electric items law slightly. When Robbie got back to the domain after being bribed for an electric rhino beetle. The children loved Link and Zelda but something tells the three of them that Sidon is the not so secret favorite. Link didn't care about the love actor though He does care about Zelda's opinion. The same can be told about how Zelda on.y cares about link. Now Sidon needed to get started on getting Ruta to the Uria grotto. However the injured Zora delyaed the process as all of the soldiers were all cut up, bruised, and more importantly burnt from electricity. Seeing Beetle and the children relieved the Zora to an extent. With the soldiers more relaxed, their wounds were easier to get to. The mothers who were healing, were now telling the children which herbs to get. As the children raced back and forth, Sidon sighed at all if the damage. They also had to get the electricty out of the domain waters, fix the broken pillers, and restock on a lot of destroyed supplies. Link, as usual, had a lot of the supplies they needed on hand from his traveling. Zelda, however was scolding him on how he should be more organized. Beetle also supplied the domain with some of the stuff he had on him that he usually sells. He saw how helpful Link and Zelda were with supplying that he have some materials for free instead of selling them. Sidon was so lucky thar he had friends like those. He had heared of how Link founded the now flourishing Tarry town, mostly by himself. Sidon had no doubt he could help the domain get built back to its former glory. While the children were busy still getting supplies from Link and Beetle, Zeldva was informing them which herbs were which. Zelda also grabbed from her bags and gave out supplies too from the things she collected on the way there. Sidon was overseeing the process while mostly making sure everything goes smoothly. He wished he could do more but he knew he was helping if he stayed out of their way. He had little experience when it comes to healing and he didn't have any herbs to give. He heared stories from the elders of how his father was almost defeated until Mipha came in with Ruta and saved them all. Sidon also read the stories on the monuments, however, he didn't remember when he ran away to face a lynel by himself when he was younger. That was apparently the same day Mipha was givin permission to piolet the hiant elephant. Sidon would have to ask Zelda on the specifics later, much, much later. When they were all done, everybody looked better. The report came back from the healers saying that there were no deaths. There were also no deep wounds so we didn't have to use any fairies. Sidon thamked the children for delivering it to him. The children ramd off with giggles. The little girls were back to cLling Sidon cute and they were overjoyed to have Sidon call them helpeful. Everybody went to their beds early from exhaustion. Skipping the dinner, lunch, and dessert entirely.

Today was mostly the aftermath of the battle. Link and Zelda had to get the elecricity out of the waters all by themselves. He felt bad to make them do an entire task as big and important as this all by themselves. The Zora, taking much care to ignore the waterways, started on getting to work on rebuilding the broken walls, pillers, and rails. Sidon would bury Ruta after dinner at the end of the day. Zelda gave permission to go into their stuff just to take out the luminous stone. Normally Link wouldn't have much stones due to selling them for money. However, because Zelda was rich, he no longer sold them. He was maxed out on supplies before the domain was forced to jse lots of materials. Sidon knew Link wouldn't mind as Link wasn't greedy by any means. Sidon knew that even though Link didn't care that the Zora used his various items, Link just gave away days worth of collecting, in a matter of hours. Sidon would repay them someday he promised, even if they didn't want him to repay them. The domain looked so much better when the domain was done. Sidon, Link, Zelda, Beetle, and the rest of the Zora, were heding down to the Rutala dam to witness Sidon move the beast. Ruta sensed them and kneeled down so everybody could get inside. Ruta only let Sidon, Link, and Zelda inside the room where it's heart was. The rest pf the Zora had to wait in the central top and bottom rooms. Ruta sensed the children had no ill will toward it so, Ruta let them explore all the rooms but the one important room. The kids raced around outside until one of them stumbled upon Mipha. The one Zora child called the others over quickly. Mipha's gentle spirit played with the children. She was overjoyed at seeing Zora children again. Mostly overjoyed about the fact that the Zora have remained strong and happy even after the calamity. The spirit of Dorphan appeared beside Mipha with a beaming smile. He wanted to stay with his daughter and watch over the domain, even if it meant connecting his spirit to Ruta to keep him from passing on. When Sidon is finished burying Ruta, then their spirits wil pass on together. To King Dorphan, waiting two more days before his spirit would be free was worth it. He wanted to see the domain recover with his daughter. Dorphan had knew his daughters fate of becoming a pilot but still knew how risky it was. Even through her sacrifice, she accepted her fate, knowing that she knew what she was getting into. Mipha's spirit was also allowed into Ruta's heart room. Dorphan was not so he stayed with the kids. Sidon started commanding Ruta, struggling a little bit. Mipha's spirit appeared before Sidon and the others, encouraging her brother on. Together they commnded Ruta to move. Zelda cried at the sight of the two of them side by side working together. Because of Rita's size and extra help from his sister, getting to the grotto took less than an hour. Ruta kneeled, letting off everyone except the spirits of course. Sidon checked that everyone was off before commanding Ruta to lower itself into the grotto. The elephant's side scrapped against the walls, sending rocks tumbling down into the water with a creak and a splash. The Ruta purposefully used it's trunk to send more rocks to bury it. All of Ruta's body was covered now and Ruta raisied its trung from below the ground with one last roar. Thenthe water flowed outmof th trunk turning the Uria grotto into a small lake. Sidon renamed it the Uria lake because of this. Then they all went to bed once again.

Everybody slept in this time. Well, except the children. Sidon woke up with a yawn, as he knew that his dury wasn't even close to over. He was a champion aknowledged by Zelda due to him showing he could control the divine beast before it was buried into the new lake. Last night as Ruta was flooding itself, he saw the two spirits nod and vanish as the lake was done. They have both now passed on and freed. Zelda knew now the answer to why she came. She and Purah were both right. The shrines and towers had served their purpose and thats why they deactivated and sunk. The other beasts didn't deactivate just yet. They were waiting to be buried so they could rest and build up thir divine energy. They both would need to go to all the other races to help with each of their respected beasts. First though, she had to tell her teacher Purah about everything that had happened. She and Link packed their bags. The plan is that at a certain time, purah would use the sheikah slate they gave her previously to teleport them to the lab. luckily Purah had agreed to given them extra time so they could stay until lunch. Sidon found them awake at the store. Beetle had left early in the morning. Sidon insisted that they would take anything they needed from the store for free as a repayment. Link tooke some arrows and a couple fish. Zelda didn't really need anything so she didn't grab anything. The children spent the rest of their day playing. The adults mourning for their king. The soldiers were in their beds resing up to heal quicker. Link and Zelda knew they were going to leave the domain in good hands. Sidon has earned his time to rule when helping with Ruta the first time. The leader was indisputable and Dorphan had made that clear when he was alive. Zelda wrote down some more facts and accomplishments into her journal. She didn't have anytime to write nything down in the previous days so now is the time before she could be bombarded with questions by Purah. Purah would be super intregued by their adventures in Zora lands. The children play hide and seek in shatterback point as the red lynel was killed in the big battle. There were no ore blood moons as far as Zelda knew so the Zora would be much safer. Sidon squeezed Link hard with a hug and a smile. Zelda respectfully declined the hug but instead offered a handshake. To this Sidon frowned then smiled and they all said farewell. The two waited on the bridge closest to the entrance so Purah could pinpoint their location and exact coordinates. Link then left a travel medallion right before they were teleported to the Hateno ancient tech lab with blue swirls all around them. The entire race was standing under the ent ance with smiles waving goodbye before the disappeared. Zelda told her findings to Purah. Purah offhandedly remarked about how she was going to study the Zonai now that the sheikah mystery was over. Purah would still need divine beast reports though. Zelda got furious very quickly when Purah nurvously said she broke the sheikah slate during the experiments. She was able to salvage the slate to get more travel medallions. Purah instructed Link to leave a travel medallion at Goron city, Guerodo town, and Rito Village entrances. The two went to the house to make themselves at home knowing of the trips they were going to have tomorrow.

Notes: Each chapter will have around 10,000 words at some point. Because I don't upload all at once like others, if you want to know when a chapter is finished, you will know if the chapter reaches said number of words. Idk if it shows you the words per chapter though. I will try to do the chapters as much as I can. School is coming up so I might get slowed down. Even though its against the rules, I will have some mispelled words/mistakes, sorry. I'll try my best though. The diffeent POV's will be stated under the first notes of each chapter so you're not confused. (POV stands for point of view for those who dont know ;) I always post late at night just to let you know. (I do not mind constructive criticism of any kind.) Will have less notes as the chapters go on.
