AUTHOR'S NOTES: This is a completely REDO of the Zootopia fanfiction I did back in 2016. I did try to continue the original but because so much time has passed, I did not know how to continue. And my writing today is very different than it was back then. Another problem I had with the original was the 5k or more) word limit I put myself which created a lot of anxiety, so the word length on this will be smaller and quite varied.

And because this is a complete redo, the plot for this will very different and I will be putting in newer ideas that I haven't thought of in the original. However, this will still be a Human in Zootopia fanfic.

Anyway, please enjoy the show and please do leave a comment about what you think.

Zootenial Stadium, Utility Closet

"Going at this pretty ruff, eh, Fluff?" Nick wiped the saliva off his muzzle, looking at the smirking bunny in front of him.

Judy inched closer to the fox's head, their faces just centimeters apart. "Is the big bad fox getting winded from little ol' me?" she teased with a smugness rivaling his.

This got a light chuckle out of Nick as he placed his hands on her sides. "Not a chance, Fluff. But I don't think this closet can handle two rowdy animals."

"It'll handle it," she replied and inched even closer to the point their noses touched each other.

"And if we get caught?"

"And when do foxes start worrying so much?"

"When did you become so daring?"

"From hanging out with such a brave, handsome fox."

"Look at you and your way with words."

Judy backed away to stand up. She stretched her arms up in the air, her sultry gaze remained focused on Nick the whole time. "With all the noise in the concert, we will be fine. C'mon, Nick, you know no one would dare to miss even a few seconds of Gazelle."

"Except us," Nick countered in a tone that was sly and flirty. This earned a giggle from his rabbit girlfriend.

Judy knelt back down and crawled up to the fox's snout. "Dare I say, this is more important than Gazelle."

Nick feigned a dramatic gasp. "You dare! You dare say such a blasphemous thing?! In Gazelle's concert no less?!"

"Why, yes." She placed her hands on Nick's cheeks, her eyes locking onto his. "Yes, I do."

Before he could comment, Judy pulled him in for a passionate kiss.

Nick didn't complain as he felt her become even more ferocious with this romantic act. All previous thoughts drift away as he become lost in the moment. His mind so focused to the sensation of their lips dancing with such vigor.

Not even the noise from the music bothered them, the cheering from the crowds did not phase them. They only focused on each other, focused on this very moment as they embraced each other immensely.

The thought of possibly missing Gazelle's concert did not worry them for they were okay with this.

Because this very moment was indeed far more important.

"GAZELLE! YOU'RE SO BEAUTIFUL!" Clawhauser screamed at the top of his lungs, nearly rivaling the noise from the stadium itself.

Many of the mammals around him were freaked out by his sheer volume, some even gave him annoyed looks. The cheetah paid them no mind because they all went back to focusing on the music.

"Clawhauser!" He turned to see Bogo walking towards him, trying not to bump into anyone in the crowd.

"Hey, Chief!" Clawhauser said, happily. "I was just looking for you."

"I told you to wait for me by the door," Bogo said quite irritably.

"I know and I'm sorry, but I can't help myself! There's this opportunity to get closer to Gazelle and I just had to take it!" he explained as he pointed at the popstar in excitement.

Bogo let out a long sigh. "Next time I tell you to wait: wait."

"You got it, sir," Clawhauser said dutifully with a quick salute.

"How much money have we raised for the fundraiser?"

Clawhauser brought out his phone and shifted through his web browsers until he was at the ZPD's website.

"We've gathered 55,000 dollars, sir," he declared proudly.

"Good. We hit our goal tonight." Bogo began looking around the crowd, finding many off and on duty officers dancing or cheering in the crowd.

Except for a certain duo.

"Where's Hopps and Wilde?"

"They went to find the restroom," answered Clawhauser.

"Alright everyone!" Gazelle spoke through the loudspeakers. This caused the audience to erupt in roars and cheers as the spotlights focused on her. And as the noise died down, she continued, "thank you all again for coming here tonight! You have no idea how much this means for me."

Clawhauser let out a proud squeal from hearing those words.

"I know I've said this a lot already, but do know I always mean every word. And it all comes straight from my heart," she continued. "For it is because I love this city and all of you living in it. I still believe this is the place where we can achieve anything despite our differences. Even when times went bad, we've learned to stand side by side and brave through the worst. To stand as one."

The audience was speechless throughout the whole thing, looking up to their treasured idol under immense adoration. Many of them were touched by her words while others had tears flowing out their eyes. And there were few who actually cried.

Clawhauser was one of the many emotionally affected by her words. Trying his hardest to not bawl out a river of tears and it showed.

Bogo (albiet reluctantly) placed a hand on the cheetah's back in support.

"And I would like to also thank the ZPD."

Bog and Clawhauser looked up at the performer in surprise. And from what they could tell (mainly Bogo), so did their fellow officers in the crowd.

"I want to thank the brave men and women working hard to keep the city we love safe. And ensuring we get to live our lives in peace," she concluded.

Everyone in the audience erupted in a round of applause. The clapping of hands and hooves were so loud it could be heard outside the stadium's thick walls.

"Oh my gosh!" Clawhauser turned to Bogo, eyes streaming with tears amidst his proud squealing. "She just thanked us! She just THANKED! US!"

Bogo looked at the cheetah with rather soft smile.

This was quite rare and it would certainly shock just about anybody. But now was one of those special times he was in such a good mood to do it.

"Now. . ." Gazelle slowly began. "Could any ZPD officers in the audience bring their arms high in the air and cheer!"

Clawhauser was the first to react as he brought his arms upward without question and jumped in joy. And to his and Bogo's surprise, one of the spotlights focused on them.

Then more of spotlights shifted to any mammal waving their arms up. It didn't takre long for Clawhauser and Bogo to find out they were all police officers.

The chubby cheetah turned back to Gazelle, only to smile in pure happiness to see that the popstar was looking right at him.

She happily waved at him with a big smile on her muzzle. And to many mammals' surprise, she blew a kiss at him.

Clawhauser's excitement was through the roof as he let out a burst of high pitched screams. A detriment to those around him, such as Bogo.

But he didn't care because truly felt like the luckiest cheetah in the world.

"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!" He bounced up and down in restrained joy, and was starting to feel lightheaded from all of the excitement. "Gazelle just. . . just. . ." He began to feel dizzy, his vision slowly faded as start to lean backwards.

And before he could fall, he was knocked back awake as he felt Bogo quickly pressing his hands against his back.

"Stay with me, Clawhauser," Bogo warned, giving him a light shake. "This is not the place for it. And I am not carrying you out if you do."

"Yes, Chief."

The buffalo looked up to see the popstar also giving him an excited wave. With a joyous smile of his own, he waved back with one arm.

Up in the VIP section. . .

Skye looked down the massive viewscreen with intrigue. Watching more of the spotlights shed light on whatever police officers could be found on the ground.

She couldn't help but smile at what's happening down there. And the arctic fox wouldn't admit it but she was jealous of it too; jealous of the regular police getting all the attention.

She'd like to think Gazelle's words still include her in some way. Her line of work does involve law enforcement, after all. A section of law enforcement with many perks.

One of them getting her access to a VIP lounge in the section.

"Are things getting crazy down there?" Skye turned around to see the white jackrabbit.

He had his back on a recliner, one leg crossed over the other and had a glass of champagne in one hand.

"I wouldn't call it crazy," she replied, crossing her arms. "The bobbies are certainly loving the attention."

"I would assume so."

"They're getting the spotlights and everything," she continued, turning back to look at the crowd below. A certain cape buffalo caught her eye. "The police chief is taking full advantage of this."

"Sounds like you're jealous, Skye," Jack said and took a sip from his glass.

"Excuse you, Mister Savage." She turned back to him. "I'm not one to get jealous easily."

"So you are jealous?"

"No."

"I have to disagree with you on that, darling," he replied smugly before taking another sip of his drink.

"Darling, eh?" She gave him a seductive look. "Mistier Savage, my, my, my. . ."

"What. . . was that exactly?" he asked, clearly confused.

Skye tried her best not to laugh at her partner's obliviousness, but it came out as choke-like chortling. "Oh blimey. Never mind."

The arctic fox walked towards her partner, making every step as graceful as she could with a light sway of her hips. She sat on the empty recliner beside him, grabbing a spare glass of chardonnay from the table.

"It would've been more fun to have the gang here," she said before taking a large sip from her glass.

"We'll have more opportunities like this again. Hopefully at a better time when more of the guys are available," Jack said with a confident smile. He put a hand in his pocket and brought out his HIU badge. "The perks of being in the ZIBs Hazardous Investigations Unit."

Skye let out another chortle. "Abuse of power much, Agent Savage?"

"Hey, we all work hard to maintain the badge." He put the object in question back in his pocket. "And there is no harm with treating ourselves once in a while."

Skye only smiled at this as she let out a soft hum. "I won't disagree with that."

They both tapped their glasses together and turned to the viewscreen to enjoy the show.
