True Love

Chapter 1: Soulmates

When Quinn Puckerman woke up in the hospital with half her body paralyzed, she began to cry as she looked at her husband Noah as he was holding their son Burt Finn Puckerman and their daughter Lucy Quinn Puckerman.

Soon Noah puts his newborn twins in their incubators before he says, "Don't cry, babe. This is not your fault and I am not going anywhere. You are my everything and I am going to take care of my family here. I got a job at Burt's old shop and…"

Then Quinn started to laugh before saying, "I'm so glad Kurt never crushed on you and I bet Mr. H. will be saying the same thing when he finds out."

Burt Hummel clears his throat and says, "I already know, Quinn and I bought back the shop a month ago. After someone threatened to kill Liza Marie and Carole. Ha, Santana and Mercedes have been teasing Puck over the fact he turned into me since they arrived at the hospital. Carole will be here in a minute with Liza Marie. Ha, she has been reading Sleeping Beauty to you for about a week and making Puck kiss you every time she reads the story. Ha, I'm almost sure she'll be pissed that she missed you waking up."

Soon, they hear Kurt yelling at Liza Marie to slow down and hear someone running fast down the hall before Liza Marie enters the room.

When Liza Marie sees that Quinn is awake she glares at Noah and says, "Why didn't you wait for me Uncle Nono? I wanted to read the story to auntie Queenie again!"

This makes them all laugh before Liza Marie stomps on Noah's foot and says, "That wasn't funny, Uncle Nono!"

Then Noah hides behind Burt as he tries to stifle his laughter. And Quinn says, "Come on, Puck. Are you really afraid of a little girl?" Before Liza Marie glares at her and Santana says, "OK little She-Hulk. Would you dial it down a little? You are worse than your mama Rachel."

After this, Kurt comes into the room and says, " I don't know who needs a nap more, Liza Marie or Santana."

Santana and Liza Marie were glaring at him before they both stick their tongues out and say in unison, "Shut it!"

Santana says, "I have been here watching Quinn for the past week! What the hell of you been doing, Kurt? And don't compare me to your daughter! Liza Marie has been here more than you have and was reading to Quinn every day! You try being cheerful when you're being woken up by a nurse coming in the room in the middle of the night every hour on the hour!"

Then she looks over at Noah and says, "Laugh it up all you want, your snoring didn't help matters!"

Soon Santana and Liza Marie storm out of the room before saying, "Assholes!" In unison.

An hour later, Santana comes back with a sleeping Liza Marie and says, "I'm really sorry guys. This past week has been really stressful. Ha, You know Rachel told me that Liza Marie acts like me, but I didn't believe her until now. Ha, I always thought my own daughter would act like that, not Rachel's daughter."

Then they hear Blaine say, " Ha, Half her DNA comes from me and I have trouble believing that Rachel is her mother. Even though I went with her to the fertility clinic and watched the eggs be implanted into her."

When Liza Marie woke up from her nap. She noticed she was alone with Noah and Quinn. Then Noah says, "Babe, it's going to be alright. I'm just glad we got to spend time with her before…"

Soon Quinn is crying as Burt Hummel enters the room with his hat in his hand. Then he looks at Noah and says, "I'm really sorry about little Quinn." Quinn cries more before Liza Marie climbs into bed with her and says, "Little Quinn is with Nana Elizabeth and uncle Finn now. I'm sorry, Auntie Queenie. I'm just glad you still have a little Burt."

Then Quinn looks over at Burt before saying," I know you're not related to Puck, but I hope my son will consider you a grandfather. Just like Liza Marie considers you one. Ha, if he takes after you or Puck. At least now you'll have somebody to hand down the shop to ha ha."

Burt lightly hits Quinn then says, "Well, Quinn, what if he's like Kurt?" Which makes Liza Marie say, "G' Pa, Don't scare auntie Queenie! Little Burt will not be like Dada! He is uncle Nono's son and my future husband!"

Then Noah says, "I'm guessing you want to be a Puckerman when you grow up. Huh, Squirt?" This just makes Liza Marie raise an eyebrow before saying, "Duh, Uncle Nono!"

Later that night in the hospital, Noah is woken up by the sound of Quinn's heart monitor going off as nurses, and doctors try to save her.

Noah just goes to the hospital chapel and begins to pray, "Father, please, please don't let Quinn die! You let my best friend die! Please don't let Quinn die!"

Then Noah feels a hand on his shoulder before he looks up to see Burt Hummel standing next to him. Soon Noah is bear-hugging Burt and saying, "I'm scared, Mr. H! I don't want to lose Quinn. I lost my daughter. I don't want to lose her too!" Burt Hummel does not say a word as he holds Noah while he continues to cry.

Soon a doctor comes to tell Noah that Quinn is stable before they go back to her room.

As Burt looks at Quinn he says, " I had a feeling this would happen and thought you would need somebody to talk to you."

Then he looks at Quinn and said, "Today is the anniversary of when my first wife Elizabeth died in the hospital and let's just say seeing Quinn in the hospital brought up some old wounds. Puck, I'm not going to sit here and lie to you. I don't know if Quinn will live through this or not, but I know she is a strong woman and she is a fighter. Ha, any girl you date will have to be a strong woman to put up with you."

This makes Noah chuckle before he says, "I guess that's why you're with Carole. Huh, Mr. H?"

Then as Noah looks over at Quinn he asks, "How long was Kurt's mom in the hospital before she passed away?"

Burt just looks at Noah as he says, " Six months."

Then he looks at the floor before saying, "It took me six years to get over losing her."

Then he says with a chuckle, "I am so glad Kurt did not try to get me to date Norah."

Noah just looks over at Burt before saying, "You and me both Mr. H, you and me both. Ha, I may not be Liza Marie's papa, but I bet if I was I would be worse than you." this makes the two men chuckle as they stay up most of the night watching Quinn.

When Noah woke up the next morning, he heard Quinn crying, and could barely understand what she was saying. Later he finds out that Quinn had a mini-stroke that causes half her face to go numb. It was bad enough that she was paralyzed, now half her face was paralyzed as well.

As the others come in they hear Noah say, "I love you Quinn and just because you're paralyzed doesn't mean anything! You are still the woman I love and I will never leave you!"

Then Quinn says, "Listen voice! Sounds stupid! You'll leave! Look body! Can't walk! Can't talk!"

Noah looks over at Burt then says, "Mr. H stayed faithful to his first wife for six years! Kurt is the only reason he is with Mrs. H! I am not leaving you until I take my last breath and if you die before me. There is no way in hell I am going to date anyone else! I may have the same job Mr. H had. I may be like him in a lot of ways, but I will die still loving you! Quinn, we had two children together. I joined the AirForce to make myself worthy of you!"

Then Quinn looks over at Rachel before Noah says, "I told you I am not going to leave you, Quinn!"

Soon, Noah is crying and Burt says to Quinn, " Quinn, you have a good man there and I can tell he is nothing like his old man. Plus, I'm pretty sure that you are not the one that named your son after me."

Then he looks over at Noah and says, "You are a strong woman and you will get through this."

Quinn just shook her head no and said, "Weak, worthless!" Then Noah says, "Bullshit! Quinn, you are my true love! OK?"

Then Noah says, "Quinn, you are my inspiration." Before he sings a familiar song.

Soon, they are asleep and Noah has his arms wrapped around Quinn. As they sleep, Liza Marie comes in and gets on Burt's lap before she falls asleep too.

Chapter 2 will be up soon. I'm really sorry, I'm still having issues with my computer. So I'm having to use the Microsoft word app on my iPad. Good thing I have stories saved to the cloud.
