Main characters for now are all from Danganronpa, with some concepts from The Sims. Other fandoms will no doubt show up later and probably steal the show. This world's connection to the cannon of any show is going to be loose, and will be reformed in whatever way pleases my tastes.
Dead on their feet the survivors of the biggest most awful most terrible event in human history stumbled through the portal into the new world. They were safe. The new world was no eutopia, it was full of wild tribes who would rob one another in the middle of the night, but it was safe in comparison to the hell Junko had created. A human adversary could be stopped by means that could never have hoped to stand against the dreadful Monokuma. Eleven survivors stood. Makoto Naegi, their king; Kyoko Kirigiri, the orrigional great detective; Byakuya Togami, the rich heir whose wealth meant nothing in the new world; Toko Fukawa, the once reknowned author who had reduced herself to Byakuya's shadow; Aoi Asahina, the "Idiot Swimmer Girl"; and Yasahiro Hagakure, the framed fortune teller. With them they brought the reformed ultimate despair: Hajime Hinata, Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu, Kazuichi Soda, Sonia Nevermind, and Akane Owari. They could not know if they could trust them, but it was a risk they had to take, the human population was in such a dire position that they could spare none, even the mastermind who had made their lives horrible. But, wasn't she gone? For now. Alter Ego had begun research, orrigionally to resurect Master Chihiro, but it had expanded into a plan to bring back all those lost in the great disaster. Unfortunately bodies lost on the outside were a lost cause, but Junko's obsession with throwing fresh dead bodies into the freezer would prove useful. Alter Ego had in theory perfected the plan to repair and revive the dead bodies, but they needed a resource - vampires of the new world.
"I'll go," Fuyuhiko offered. He was most determined to bring back his beloved Peko.
"Makoto should go," Byakuya said, "he's so determined we should do this, he should lead by example."
"I can't," Makoto explained, "it's up to me to organize the construction of our community, so I have to postpone starting my own family at least until the walls are secure."
"Hmph," said Byakuya.
Ten of the eleven survivors were tasked with building the villiage, while Fuyuhiko struck off across the open prarie to the distant land of the vampires. His job was arguably the most dangerous. At home everyone had each other's backs, but Fuyuhiko was on his own and more than a few tribes tried to mug him. In the day he faired all right, his skills teaching anyone who tried why they should not try to mess with a Yakuza mob boss, but his first night in the wild he had such a close call that he surrounded himself with noise traps any time he slept for the remainder of the journey.
One month out he made it to the land of the vampires. He knew it because the skies immeadiatly went from bright noon-day sun to pitch black midnight. There in the glow of the plasma fruit he saw the first house since arriving in the new world. Now he faced the challenge of getting a vampire to bite him and making it back home. By now he was getting ravenous. He had nothing but rainwater on his trip and was weak with hunger. He tried stealing plasma fruit from the garden of the king of the vampires. His yet human stomach was not equipped to handle vampire cuisine, and it made him sick. Weak with throwing up, he was in no state to resist when Vlad's guards found him and took him to their king.
Fuyuhiko could not speak the language of the vampires, but even if he could, it's not like they would have cared what he wanted. Luckily for him, the coven had learned eons ago that it didn't serve them to drain a human of blood. If they kept him in their dungeon, they would have an ongoing source of food. For several days, Fuyuhiko had to indure the constant sting of vampires nipping him before he finally got his chance. Finally, Vlad himself was tempted to try the new flavor of plasma. Fuyuhiko could have attacked a dozen vampires by now, but he was holding back. He only wanted the best most powerful blood to take back to his tribe. When Vlad bit him he bit back, and tasted the acred tang of vampire blood. Fuyuhiko made sure to drink deep, he wanted to make sure that for all his trouble he was getting enough to transform him. Over the next few days he endured the most adgregous belly ache, but took comfort knowing that meant the transformation was working, no pain, no gain. At the end of the second day he could finally feel the power and the chains that had held him finally snapped at his will. He knew one sacrifice of becoming a vampire, human food would not feed him as it once had. He did not want to rely on the blood of his friends, especially if they were to become vampires as well, so he stole a few plasma fruits for seed and attempted to strike off home. Alass, the secnd he set foot outside the barrier he found out something he wished he'd known before. The king of the vampires did not have sun resistance. Fuyuhiko was forced to return himself to a life of slavery in order to survive, and secretly train himself for the day he could escape once again.
