Ash and Alyssa were both flower girls, wearing matching dresses. The dresses were a pastel pink with white lace, and they had matching flower crowns and tiny, barely one inch heeled shoes. Neither girl really understood what was happening, but they happily slung around flowers. The guests laughed as Ash ran up to the altar and hugged Fatima's legs. Fatima smiled and squatted down.
"Hey, baby. Go sit with Grandma and Grandpa, okay?" she whispered. Ash kissed Fatima's cheek and ran off. Fatima grinned as her daughters climbed into the chair with the help of her parents. Fatima smiled and ran her hand over her dress.
She had chosen a simple ruby red dress with a matching hijab. The hijab had small gold flowers around her face, and white lace around the edge. Rountree was wearing a simple black suit, with a matching tie.
As they were heading to the main building for the food and dancing, Ash jumped into Fatima's arms. Fatima laughed and kissed her daughter's forehead. She knew it wasn't a traditional wedding for either religion, but she also knew that neither of them would change a thing.
