As the last toll of Midnight struck, Anna administered the antidote as soon as Dracula was killed. Her heart pounded, praying that the antidote worked. She breathed a sigh of relief when Van Helsing was slowly turning into a human again, pulling the syringe out of his chest, groaning in pain.
"Van Helsing?" Friar Carl questioned timidly.
"It's alright Carl, I made it in time. He is going to be alright," Anna reassured him. She helped Van Helsing sit down on the chaise, to catch his breath. He put his head in his hands, trying to catch his breath. When he recovered, he asked, "Now that Count Dracula, what are you going to do now?"
"I have no idea. I spent all my life trying to kill him, that's all I know."
"Let's first get out of here and then, you owe me a drink," he teased. Anna chuckled. With the help of Carl, he and Anna helped him out of Castle Dracula and exited the same way they came in, through the mirror. To keep the portal closed, Van Helsing took the piece of parchment and threw it in the fire that was burning so no one was able to enter. They went to eh parlor and Anna poured three stiff drinks.
"Why don't you come with us?" Van Helsing suggested. "You said you never been to the sea, and now you have the opportunity to go explore the world."
"Are you sure?" she gasped. She could scarcely believe. The thought of sailing brought a smile on her face. Van and Carl nodded her head in agreement. "When do we leave?"
"Let's plan on leaving within the week, to give you time to get everything in order." The plan settled; they all went to their rooms. Anna could scarcely sleep. She packed her belongings, so she was ready to go.
A week later, they had decided that they were going to go after they had lunch. Carl went down to the stables and got the horses ready. They waited patiently for their riders.
A few days ride, they finally made it to the sea. Anna gasped at the beauty and the vastness of it. The sea was surrounded by mountains. The water looked like glass. "Where do we go first?" Anna asked as they started off.
"First, we have to go to the Vatican, but then we can go wherever you would like," answered Van Helsing.
"Well, then what are we waiting for?" she said with a grin.
Anna traveled with Van Helsing until the end of her life, helping him with his missions from the Vatican, which they were thankful for, as she made sure that the creatures that they instructed Van Helsing to collect for them, most of them survived.
She did notice that the werewolf scratch the he got from her brother would occasionally pained him during the full moon cycle.
