Of Two Tales Prologue

Did you know? There are many worlds besides the one we reside in

Some build into captivating paintings... and some flicker out; like a flame

Enter two young women cautiously continuing down a dark corridor. Closer to their peak. In the other room awaited their final battle. The two resembled each other so well, as twins would. Although they shared the same face, one wore hers with grace and a natural beauty no one could compare. The other can be described as a rebel. They each walked to a different tune. Yet, they fight as one. Like Yin and Yang, one cannot exist without the other. The Moon would dim without the Sun.

In their world existed magics that consisted of elements. Air, Water, Fire, Earth... but there were variations of other magics besides the elements. Light Dark existed here too. Many develop into a main element that called out to them. If they had the capacity, they could learn more than one. No one has ever mastered all magics at the same time. This world is facing a dark time, as the light is fading even when there are those fighting the dark. The two women continued to their final battle. Little beknown to them, this world will soon end.

Met in the last room, was the main antagonist of this story. The Evil God of Dark Magics, Loviatar eyed over to the two biggest thorns in his side. A chilling smile came across his face as the two entered, determination on their face. There was a residing acceptance behind their eyes, as if they knew their lives could end here. The battle was an explosive one, to say the least. The rooms walls were covered with mirrors. Little did the twins know what these mirrors could do... or where they could take you.

The battle was becoming too much even for the eloquently coordinated twins. Loviatar saw his opportunity, and cut off one twin from the other. The graceful beauty, Aislinn, crashed into a mirror that earlier fell to the floor. One would think she would just have a broken mirror under her, but no, Aislinn found herself falling even past the surface. Some of the shards of the mirror fell alongside her, while the others float above the broken entrance above the surface. The other half, even with her hardened surface, broke with eyes wide as her twin was falling.

The 'stone-cold' rebel, Bearnas, ran to the mirror. She screamed for Aislinn, each twins arms were outreached to each other. But neither would be able to reach, and shadows began to surround Bearnas. The dark magic licked at her arms and legs, keeping a hold of her and dragging her away from the broken mirror. The screams could still be heard, but they seemed to grow more and more distant. There was an instant change in Bearnas's demeanor as her loss began to sink in more. Instead of dread taking over, it was anger. Even though she successfully released herself from the shadow magics grip, this sent her flying into a different mirror.

This was not a part of Loviatar's plan, as he scowled at the other side of the mirror. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" Bearnas didn't even know what she did. She was falling from the sky, as was the broken mirror her sister fallen through. Each had fell a great distance away from one another. Bearnas did land to the ground eventually, in a world she'd soon know as Teyvet.

This story will follow alongside the main storyline in Genshin Impact. Aislinn and Bearnas are not replacing Aether or Lumine in this story, but rather, Bearnas will travel alongside the Traveler. Two tales being told alongside one another.
