Koichi Kizakura never cared about being a teacher. He'd rather go out and have a drink than teaching a bunch of kids. And he did. Most hope's peak students never sit in for classes. They all went off to practice their talents like they should be. So whenever he was assigned a new class, it always remained the same thing. And he couldn't be happier.
However, something was different this year. His best friend's kid was enrolling as the ultimate detective. Koichi liked the girl very much. He watched her grow up along Jin. It kind of made Kyoko a daughter to him. He gulped down his flask before sighing.
He was gonna watch over Kyoko, like he promised. But he was at a loss at what to do. Kyoko was a very intelligent woman. He couldn't just spy on her without her thinking something's wrong. Despite being there for her growing up, Kyoko doesn't remember him. He frowns at this thought before gulping down more of his drink.
So he ponders how to look over her. He goes through some ideas when suddenly, he gets a flash in his mind. It was a memory of Kyoko falling into a pit. It ended before he got to see what happened next. What was that? It felt so real, but it couldn't have happened right? Was Kyoko in danger?
Many thoughts raced across his mind, until one became louder than the others: Protect Kyoko at all costs. He had to keep that from happening. It might have been something in the alcohol, but he wasn't gonna take any chances.
He looked around the room for ideas until he saw his teacher application form. That was it. That's how he would protect Kyoko. He grabbed it and ran to the headmaster's office. Jin Kirigiri gets startled when Koichi bursts in.
"How can I help you Koichi?" Jin asks. Koichi walks in and slams the form on his desk.
"I know what class I wanna teach this year." He says. "Class 78, so I can watch over Kyoko." Jin was surprised but pleased to hear this.
"Alright then," He says. "The role is yours." They both signed it, making it official. Koichi thanks Jin before leaving. He looked down at the form before taking another swig of his drink. He smiled. Now he'll protect her for sure. His god daughter Kyoko.
