Author's Notes: This scene takes place during Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part 5 (The Legends of Tomorrow episode), right after Barry and Kara stop Weather Witch.

Kara and Barry sat in Kara's loft at a table filled with food.

"So what happened to you when we left the dawn of time?" Kara asked in between bites of pot stickers.

"The last thing I remember is we were all holding hands trying to restart the multiverse, then I found myself sitting at my desk in Star Labs. And since then, I've been running around the city making sure everyone I love is back. Until Cisco told me Weather Witch was attacking National City."

"Yeah, me too, I've been calling everyone I love and making sure they're still here… or here again. Are Iris and the rest of Team Flash okay?"

"They're all fine, except for no one seems to remember anything about the crisis."

"Same here, no one except J'onn and I know what really happened and some of what people do remember is all wrong. Did you know that everyone now thinks Lex Luthor is some sort of hero and humanitarian?"

"Seriously?" Barry muttered with a mouth full of his taco.

"Yeah. It seems while the rest of us paragons were focusing on bringing the world back into existence, he was only concerned with rewriting a better history for himself."

"That's awful, but from what I've seen for myself and all that you told me about Lex, this seems typical for him."

"Yeah. But as mad as I am about Lex, I'm more worried about this new reality we created. When I woke up in my apartment and Alex was there, I thought we'd fixed everything, but if that were true then Lex would not be a hero and you and I would not be on the same Earth. So, if this new Earth is a different version of the one we lost, then does that mean all our loved ones we brought back are all different versions of themselves?"

"I've been wondering that myself, especially since I know firsthand how small changes in the timeline can have ripple effects down the line."

"Yeah, and if we're now on the same Earth, then the timeline has definitely been altered. Barry, last year when I was on Earth-One, I met Alex's doppelganger, only she never had a sister. This Alex was a lot like my sister, but she still was not Alex, at least not my Alex. So, if we're on the same Earth then what happened to Earth-One Alex, has she ceased to exist, or has my Alex?"

"Hey don't think that. I don't know what changes have been made to the timeline, but you know you and Alex are still sisters in this world, so no matter what changes happened to the timeline I'm sure she's still the same person you love."

"I know she won't be completely different, but last year Alex had to have her memories of me being Supergirl erased to protect my identity. And for a few months, until she remembered who I was, our whole relationship changed. And what if this time it's not just Alex who's different, but everyone else we love."

"That worries me too, but a few hours ago the multiverse and everyone we loved was gone, erased from existence. And now they're back. And even though I worry they will be different, I will take a different version of them over not having them back. Besides, if we can restore the multiverse, then I have to have hope for the people we love.

"Aren't I supposed to be the paragon of hope?"

"Even paragons need their friends to cheer them up."

Kara smiled. "Stronger Together."

They heard a whooshing sound as J'onn flew into the window. He eyed their table full of junk food and smirked.

"What?" Kara said. "We haven't eaten since before we were at the Dawn of Time. We have Chocos." She offered him a bag of cookies.

He took the bag and had a seat at the table. "So I see you and Barry have learned we are all now on the same Earth."

"Yeah. We were just talking about what other changes have been made to the multiverse. Like how Lex Luther now runs the DEO. What are we going to do to fix this? And what about Alex and Brainy? They need to know the man they're working for is a psychopath and they can't trust him."

"I agree we are going to have to tell them about Lex. And I think we also are going to have to explain to our friends everything else. They're going to wonder why we don't have memories from this new timeline. Alex already noticed something is off with you and she's worried. I've asked her and Brainy to meet us. They should be here any minute."

"How do we explain to them, they all died, and the world essentially was rebooted and most of their memories are fake?"

"Brainy is a twelfth level intellect and your sister is the strongest human I know, they can handle it. And I might be able to help them with the fake memories.

"What do you mean?"

Before he could answer there was a knock at the door.

"It's them," Kara said, looking through the door. She got up and let the two in.

"Hi," Brainy greeted them. Then seeing the donuts. "Are there any chocolate sprinkle ones left?"

"Here." Kara held up the box.

"Hey," Alex said to Kara and J'onn. Then spotting the Flash at the table, she said. "Oh hey, Barry. We missed you and Iris at the last game night.

Barry shot Kara a puzzled look, which she returned.

"What's going on? Why did you want to meet us here instead of the DEO?

"Because we can't be sure Lex doesn't have spies who will report anything they overhear." Kara spat.

"Seriously Kara, something is going on with you. I think we need to go back to the DEO and run some tests. I'm worried that White Martian did something to your brain."

"Alex, my brain is just fine."

"Maybe, but I do agree with Agent Danvers that you have been acting strange today." Brainy chimed in.

"I know and that's why J'onn asked you here.

"What's going on?" Alex asked.

Kara looked at J'onn and Barry, then back at her sister.

Maybe you should sit down for this.

"Okay, you're scaring me here. Will you just tell me what's wrong?"

Kara took a seat at the couch and motioned for her sister to join her, while the men all sat across from them.

"Okay, I know I seem off today, and you're right there is something different with me." Kara began trying to explain everything. "I mean, technically I'm one of the few things that's not different, but the rest of the world is different so that makes me seem off.

"What? Kara, you're not making any sense." Alex said.

"I know." She paused before blurting out. "Okay, so basically there was a crisis. This wave of antimatter wiped out the entire multiverse. But J'onn, Barry, I, and some other paragons survived and were able to reboot everything. And you and Brainy don't remember any of what happened because your memories were rebooted."

"Okay." Alex put her hand on her sister's shoulder "I don't know what that White Martian did to your brain, but we are going back to the DEO right now to run some tests."

"Kara's right Alex. I know you have no memory of it, but all that stuff did happen."

"What?" Alex looked from her sister to J'onn, and then to Barry who nodded in corroboration.

"If what you are saying is true, then how did you restore the multiverse?" Brainy asked.

"Perhaps instead of trying to explain everything, it would be easier if I could show you. Before you arrived, I was explaining to Barry and Kara I've been scanning everyone's minds, and while no one seems to remember the old multiverse. I've detected trace memories of the Pre-Crisis world unavailable to the conscious brain, but I believe I can create a telepathic link and bring those memories to the surface."

"J'onn, are you saying you can restore everyone's memories?" Barry asked.

"Hold up." Kara injected. "When you wiped Alex's memories of me being Supergirl, you said you couldn't restore her memories because you said having memories of two different realities could cause Alex to go insane."

"Wait!" Alex shot J'onn an accusing look. "I had my mind wiped?"

Kara sighed. "It's a long story and it might not have even happened in this Post-Crisis timeline, so I don't want to get into it now."

"The mind wipe was different." J'onn explained. "When I wiped Alex's mind, I closed off the neural pathways to those memories, which forced her brain to compensate by rewriting her memories. If I had used my powers to restore them, Alex would have had two different versions of the same memories. But I believe Alex, Brainy, and everyone else still has their memories of the Pre-Crisis multiverse; they just can't access them. I should be able to restore them without causing damage to their psyches because their minds will view these memories as new memories instead of different versions of the same memories."

"It's still too risky. You've never done this before and I'd rather my sister not be a guinea pig.

"I agree. Alex should not be the first one to undergo this procedure." He looked at Brainy.

"So, I take it no one has a problem with me being the guinea pig." The Coluan said.

"You are a twelfth-level intellect. Your brain's ability to compartmentalize should allow you to process memories of two different realities without damaging your psyche."

"True, memories of an alternate multiverse should not be a problem for my cognitive facilities."

"Brainy, you don't have to do this," Kara said.

"If the world was rebooted then our memories of the new timeline are in a sense false. I would like my real memories back. Plus, I calculated a ninety-seven-point four percent chance my brain will have no adverse reaction to the alternate memories."

Turning to the Martian he said. "Go ahead J'onn."

J'onn held up a couple of fingers to Brainy's temple. "Just try to relax your mind."

"That should not be too difficult. I'm trained in—" He started blinking rapidly and yelled. "Sprock!"

"What do you remember?"

"Everything, including the wave of antimatter closing in, destroying everything in its path including me."

"Are you okay?" Kara asked.

"While I have just remembered several traumatic events that are not part of the Post-Crisis timeline. I am having no trouble distinguishing between the two realities."

"Okay," Alex said. "Now that we know this works, J'onn, I want you to restore my memories too."

"Hold up," Kara said. "Just because it worked with Brainy, that doesn't mean it's safe for a human."

"If J'onn says this is safe, that's good enough for me. And Brainy is not the only one who wants their real memories back. I need to know what happened."

"But we don't need to have J'onn tamper with your memories to do that. We can fill you in on everything."

"My memories were already tampered with when the world was rebooted. And you can't possibly fill me in on everything. What about my memories of things you were not there for? You know this is the only way."

Kara turned to J'onn. "Are you sure this is safe?"

"I would never have mentioned it if I didn't think it was."

Alex took Kara's hand, "Everything's going to be okay."

Her sister offered back a worried look.

"Okay," she told J'onn. "I'm ready."

He touched the side of her temple like he did Brainy's, and a strained look came over her face. Then she jerked her head back.

Kara put her arm around her sister. "Alex, are you okay?"

"Yeah, but I could use a drink."

"Sure," Kara said, super speeding to the kitchen and coming back with a bottle of wine and a glass.

Alex glared at the wine and then back at her sister.

"Kara, I just got back an entire lifetime of memories including ones of the world ending, I need a real drink."

"Sorry, this is the strongest I have. It's not like any of it works on me."

Alex sighed and took the bottle.

Kara grabbed the glass and tried to hand it to her sister. "Here." But the second Alex had the bottle open, she gulped several large swallows straight from the bottle.

"That works too, I guess," Kara muttered. "Are you sure you are okay?"

"Yeah, it's just a lot to process." She set the wine bottle on the coffee table. "Like how is that bald sociopath now my boss?"

Kara smiled.

"What?" Alex asked.

"It's just good to hear you call Lex that."

"Well, now I know why you were so upset when I was singing his praises this morning. Seriously, how did he manage to make the whole world think he is this great humanitarian?"

"We don't know exactly. The Monitor brought him back to life because he thought we needed him to defeat the Anti-Monitor. And of course, Lex never does anything for selfless reasons. When we rebooted the multiverse, he somehow found a way to make himself a hero in this new timeline.

Alex reached for the wine to take another drink, but before she could, Kara took the bottle away from her.

"Hey!"

"Alex, you just got back an entire lifetime of memories. I don't want you trying to process them under an alcohol-induced strain."

"Fine." She groaned. Standing up and walking to the kitchen table. She added. "But I'm eating the rest of the pot stickers."

"J'onn," Barry asked. "Do you think you can restore Iris and the rest of Team Flash's memories like you did Alex's and Brainy's?"

"Yes, I figure the more our friends who get their memories back the better we can deal with whatever changes have taken place in this new multiverse."

"I need to get back to the DEO and find out what Lex is up to. I doubt he made himself in charge of the DEO just to stroke his ego." Alex said, "Brainy, can you help me go through the files?"

"Yes."

"And I'm going to Star City to check on Oliver and his team," Flash said.

"Oh yeah. I hadn't thought about Oliver being on this Earth too. Do you mind if I tag along?"

"Not at all, are you ready to go?"

"You go ahead. I'll catch up in a few minutes."

Barry smirked. "If you think you can catch up, Supergirl." He left in a flash with streaks of yellow lightning following.

J'onn looked at Kara and Alex, then he exchanged a look with Brainy. "I'm going to find more of our allies who need their memories restored." And he flew out the window.

"And I'm going to get started on those DEO files." He took off after J'onn.

When all the men were gone Alex turned to her sister. "Kara is everything—" Before she could finish, she found herself engulfed in a hug. "Okay."

"Yeah, now it is. But for so long I thought I lost you. I thought I lost everyone—again."

Alex pulled back and looked her sister in the eyes. "Do you want to talk about it?"

"Yeah, but not now. Not until everything is settled. For now, I'm just glad to have you back, Sis."

"Hey, you know it's going to take more than just the entire multiverse being destroyed to get rid of me."

"I better go catch up with Barry. I can't let him think he's faster than me. Bye, I love you."

"I love you too, and no crisis is ever going to change that."

Kara smiled, then she flew away.
