Elleon was merely there to watch that day, having been asked by Seir to accompany Dougal and some others to the Island of Dawn to see how the children were. Children weren't exactly his strong suit, nor were they Jelena's so why both he and Jelena were sent with Dougal was beyond Elleon. He wondered if Seir just liked putting him out of his comfort zone. "You going to be okay?" Jelena asked Elleon, who gave her a flat look.

"By that look, I'm going to say no." Jelena muttered and Elleon sighed, shaking his head. "You know I'm not a fan of these missions." He jumped back as the children ran past him. "I don't do well around kids." He said to Jelena, who laughed. "Ah, get used to it because these kids will help us." Elleon hated the fact that she was right. "Anyways, I saw a tavern here so I'm gonna go hit the tavern." Elleon wanted to protest her getting a drink so early in the day...when a cry got his and Jelena's attention.

It was one of the two female children with the sight, she was crying...didn't she usually have a stuffed animal with her? Where was it? Was that why she was crying? "Oh, where is Freya at a time like this?" They heard some of the scholars say. Who was Freya? That was a new name. "Freya!" One of the older guardians of the island called out and that was when a woman with long black hair in a ponytail came running over.

She had long silver horns, was fair in skin and wearing the natural guardian armor of the island. Was she a Castanic?! That was the first Castanic they've seen living on the island. "I didn't know there was a Castanic here." Jelena muttered, eyes wide at seeing a fellow Castanic. "Neither did I." Elleon agreed, his own eyes wide at seeing the woman. Something about her caught his attention and he doubted it was because she was a Castanic. Something about her was vaguely familiar and he wondered if it was because she resembled the girl in the vision Mystel gave him.

"Hair black as night. Eyes blue as the moon. Fair skin unblemished by time despite the life she has both lived and forgotten. Your fates are entwined. Her to the shadows, you to the front. The Seeress and the Hero."

He shook his head, ignoring the words Mystel spoke of so long ago when he learned about his prophecy and passed Mystel's test. The only ones who knew he underwent the test and passed was Fraya, Jelena, Cielbel, Seir, Dougal, Samael and his younger brother Leander. He wasn't sure if his parents knew, nor did he care and he was well aware that the gods knew. Velik had made certain he knew that she was pleased he passed. He shook his head once more, focusing on the unknown female Castanic.

She wasn't from Castanica, she didn't walk, talk or act like the others he knew. She also wasn't from the island, she was too casual with the children and he had never seen her before on his previous visits. Freya knelt beside the little girl, Anya, he remembered her being called. "Anya, what's wrong?" Freya asked gently, holding the young girl close and rubbing her back gently to soothe her. Elleon tilted his head a little, she was more gentle with the children than anyone else he's seen on the island.

As the months passed, Elleon went to the island at least once a month with Dougal and others to see how the children were doing. As he did, he noticed Anya had a new stuffed toy and he came to learn that Freya had been the one to make it for Anya. He also noticed the female Castanic wielded a glaive. She was a Valkyrie?! What else was there to this woman?! Valkyrie's were extremely rare, he only knew of the one from Castanica and that was the Grandmother Elder, as everyone called the new Matriarch of the Castanic's.

Elleon was surprised, the Castanic race was rare to the Island of Dawn, after all there wasn't a Castanic child with the sight, nor any adult Castanic's unless Jelena came with him. The woman, Freya, was also a Valkyrie, which were rare in and of themselves within the Castanic race. From what Jelena knew, the oldest of the Castanic's, devas as they were once called, were Valkyrie's and passed down their technique's to their daughters.

Only female Castanic's could be Valkyrie's and you had to be born with the natural ability to wield the glaive. The Valkyrie's were the ones who helped Clan Castanica escape their dark past from what Jelena told Elleon, yet even Jelena didn't like talking about their past completely. And there was only one way to tell if you could be a Valkyrie, the Grandmother Elders glaive. If you couldn't touch the elder's glaive, you weren't 'worthy' to be a Valkyrie.

Apparently this woman was.

As he came to find out, Freya, the female Castanic, was close to the children with the sight; she seemed especially close to Anya as she was always walking around with the little girl. He even encountered her once as he was walking around the Shadetree to get a few things before he would leave with Jelena the next day. He was making sure he had everything when he felt a hand lightly touch his hip. "Excuse me." It was a little girl's voice.

He looked to his right, where the touch came from and looked down, seeing the young girl, Anya, was beside him. He gave an internal sigh, he wasn't sure what to really do but he knelt down all the same to speak to her. "Is everything okay?" He asked, wondering if something was wrong. Why else would Anya seek him out? Freya wasn't around and that surprised him as, every time he visited, the female Castanic was never far from Anya.

"Oh yes, everything is fine," Anya responded, folding her arms behind her back, giving Elleon a smile. "I just wanted to say thank you for everything you've done." She said happily and Elleon raised a brow. Well, she was one of the children with the sight, so he guessed he shouldn't be surprised she knew about his exploits. "I also want to say thank you for what you'll do in the future, I want to say thank you for saving her." Anya said as she brought her hands up before her chest, crossing her palms over her heart.

Elleon was confused, what did Anya mean by all of that? He knew the children could see possible futures and he had heard the scholars saying Anya was the most talented among the children with the sight. Could it be possible she had seen the future that he, supposedly, saved someone she knew? "After all," Anya speaking again grabbed his attention, "she's not only important to you, the Gods and so many others...she's also really important to me." She picked up Zo-Zo which had been on the ground beside her and Elleon nearly stood up in shock.

Important to him, the Gods and others? Especially important to Anya?

She couldn't mean…

"Anya, where are you?!" A female calling out grabbed his attention as he stood and Anya smiled, turning around with Zo-Zo in her arms. "Freya! Over here!" Anya called out and the black haired Castanic looked over, bright blue eyes frantic before landing on Anya and she sighed in relief, running over to her. "Oh Anya, you have GOT to STOP doing this to me. Running off and not telling anyone where you're going, what were you thinking?" Freya slid to her knees before Anya, checking to see if the brunette had any wounds and sighed in relief when she realized she didn't.

"Thank goodness you're okay." She muttered in relief, before Anya latched onto her neck, still holding Zo-Zo and Freya sighed. She wrapped her arms under the girl's legs and lifted her effortlessly as she stood. "Sorry sir if Anya bo-" Freya went silent as she looked at Elleon, even his own eyes widened as he looked at her. Up close, even he couldn't deny, she was beautiful. Black hair like a raven's feather, bright blue eyes like the moon, skin pale and flawless...she was breathtaking.

He wanted to think he had seen many beautiful people throughout his career but...none had ever matched her. There was something about her that drew him in like a magnet and he couldn't deny the shiver that ran down his spine, but if the slight tremble he saw after his shiver was any indication, she also had one. "It's alright, it was no problem. She didn't bother me." Elleon said as he shook his head, trying to regain his thoughts and composure. It shouldn't be possible that a stranger gets to him like this, where was Jelena when he needed her?

Freya licked her dry lips and Elleon scolded himself for why that action got his blood pumping. What the hell was wrong with him? "Still, sorry if she bothered you. I'm supposed to keep an eye on her but two of the other children created a mess and I had to stop them before they did more damage." Looking over he saw a few carts were crashed and he felt his eyes twitch. Children did that?! "Is Crimson going with Uncle Emun to get more wood?" Anya asked Freya who nodded. "Can I ride him? I like flying." Anya asked with puppy-dog eyes and Freya caved instantly.

She definitely loved the little girl.

"Of course sweetie, you know Crimson adores you." A roar sounded and a Crimsonhide dragon landed not too far away, a man on his back. "Freya, you ride him. He doesn't like listening to me." It was the guard Emun. "That's because you're a male Uncle Emun." Freya said, she saw the man as an Uncle then? Freya turned to Elleon and there was something in her eyes that he couldn't pinpoint. Something deeper before she flushed and ducked her head. "Once more, sorry about Anya." Freya said and Anya gave a sheepish smile and Elleon felt his lips twitch.

"Once more, it wasn't a problem at all." He said softly and a growl caught their attention and they noticed it was the crimson dragon, growling at Elleon. "Every male I speak to he hates." Freya muttered, before waving bye and walking toward the crimson dragon. "Crimson, I'm fine." Freya said softly and Anya giggled, before looking at Elleon and once more mouthing 'thank you' to him. Elleon tilted his head, not sure why she was thanking him. Was it because she saw the future or because he prevented her getting scolded?

He didn't know but one thing he did know...he prayed he'd meet Freya again. If Mystel was correct, then that woman was who Mystel spoke of. If Anya was correct, he and Freya will meet again. He'd be waiting for that day when it arrives.

Okay, so Elleon does mention to the MC that he was on the Island of Dawn, a monster by the name of Karascha nearly did him in. (I think I spelled the name right...?) So my thought was that he was there to find out why the Argon's were there and he fought the Karascha monster. My thoughts are also that he encountered the children but didn't really know them. Since Anya can see possibly futures, I figured she would've seen Elleon and Freya encountering and, knowing what would happen to her, wanted to thank him before she wouldn't get the chance to.

I also firmly believe that Elleon met Mystel as well, like the MC did and passed her test. Before TERA went under a different company name, the Cenotaph's stated how Elleon and the MC's path's crossed, which is why I had this meeting happen. Plus, with him having been on the Island of Dawn, surely he encountered the MC once or twice, right? *shrug* That's my thought anyways.Well, hope you all enjoyed the story! ^^
