A few things before I start this series off,

I do not own Owl House, I wish I did but I do not.

This story is 18+ All characters will be as well, I don't want to lose freedom with writing because of age.

Characters will act similar to how they are in the show but not exact because that makes it less fun.

Their power will be all up to my discretion, especially Luz.

This will be much more violent, dark, and suggestive then the show. It is 18+ for a reason, now please enjoy. Feel free to review as good or bad they all help.

Chapter 1

New Beginnings

You know how in movies they have the "You're probably wondering how I got here." Well I am pretty sure I managed to actually live that introduction. As I stand here now looking at this possibly zombie lady I couldn't help but wonder how the hell I ended up here. It all started with my mom wanting to send me to this summer camp before I headed to college. It was some kind of school where they force people to act like well mannered adults. Now I understood why she wanted to put me in the school perfectly.

I knew I was very eccentric and I liked doing my own thing, but that was a good thing in my opinion. I mean sure I accidentally unleashed snakes on my school in mass numbers but that was only because they put me in the principal's office while I was going to grab them. Which thankfully it was the last day of school because the principal, well let's just say he would have suspended me if he could.

I really hadn't done anything wrong, I worked at my local library. I worked really hard as a matter of fact. I had been taking fighting classes since I was a little kid and I never stopped. I trained very hard, I even got accepted into a top university on an athletics scholarship because of me working so hard. I didn't have any friends, which was because I was always working in the library, in school, or training. But that was alright with me, my best friends were books and I enjoyed my life.

I was 17, my birthday was in a few months though so when my mom forced me to go to summer camp I had to take time off from my job. Thankfully my boss, Rosa, was more than understanding, it probably helped that I had been going to that library since I was a kid and I was there all the time. Rosa was an amazing mentor to me, she knew how much I enjoyed athletics and for my birthdays she would get me the most cool manga, books on fighting styles, and even the fantasy books I loved so much. My favorite book of all time was The Good Witch Azura. It was a fantastic book about well a witch. Obviously, I loved the idea of fantasy. I constantly would daydream about it all the time.

I mean who wouldn't like to have spells, real magic. Sorry sorry I am talking about this a lot but I just absolutely adored the idea of magic so much. But anyway it all started after I got packed for camp. I didn't want my mom to worry for me so I put my favorite book on top of the trashcan so she would know I was really going to try this out. As soon as she left however I grabbed the trashcan in panic thinking my book must have fallen into the can or something. I looked back and saw this really really cute owl hopping away with my book now in a bag it was dragging with it.

That thing was fast but I was just barely gaining on it, as I jumped through the house it was in that I had never recognized before and this mystical door opened for it. I jumped straight through yelling "Give me my book you adorable little owl!" It took me to some room with random trash scattered everywhere. I was on guard immediately, but I continued. Life was scary sure but I was scarier. Well that's what I told myself at least.

I hid as this lady with pale skin and long grey hair picked up the owl and thanked him for bringing the book. She put him at the end of a stick and spun him around which he rested on it. 'Is it just me or does that look like a staff?' I thought to myself watching as the lady went through the bag, she started tossing stuff out of it. A huge diamond ring she just threw aside calling it garbage. A golden and glowing hourglass she did the same too. She got my book and put it over her candle saying "Well it is at least good for kindling."

I dove after the book and snatched it from her saying "Hey that was a gift for me lady." She looked at me bewildered for a moment and in an ominous tone said "Get over here." I just ran away from her thinking "I don't wanna die yet I am sure as hell not going over there." I ran to the edge of a cliff and for the first time took a look around me, not the scan I do initially as a trained fighter but an actual look.

'What the fuck is this place. . .' I saw the most strange things. A caterpillar's body with a human face spit out a bug that kissed it on the lips. A werewolf looking thing was running an ice cream stand but the ice cream ATE a customer who was some fuzzy humanoid thing. I will now freely admit, I was a bit scared. I mean what the fuck was this place. Seriously though where the hell was I?

I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder and instinctively I grabbed their arm and threw them over my shoulder. They slammed against the ground with an audible "OW!" I just started profusely apologizing and I looked down and it was that lady from earlier. She stood up and said "Cool moves you got there kid, follow me I want to show you something." Looking at her now she was actually really pretty. She had this silvery white hair that was wildly flowing down her head. It reminded me kind of like a lion's mane but on an owl if that made sense. She had these golden yellow eyes that shined with curiosity and playfulness. She had an hourglass figure, pointy ears, a golden sharp tooth poked out from her lips. She wore this red dress with some sort of golden gem in the middle. She also had these tall boots that reached up her shins. As she pulled me over to her stall where I first met her I saw she had a wedding band on her finger.

"Would you like a human foot filled with holes? What about a bar of green human candy? Oh How about his black shadow box that reflects only sadness?" She said as she took out a shoe, a stick of deodorant, and an old tv. I started laughing my ass off and I took the tv and I put the batteries she had for it in a tray labeled "Human candy" I shivered a bit at the thought of someone eating them but then realized these monstrous things could probably eat them just fine. But anyway I put them into the TV and turned it on. It was playing an old workout video which got a lot of creatures' attention. They all started bidding on the box and making deals over it, they called the money snails? I think? Wherever the hell I was it was all weird, I just wanted to go back to my house now.

She pulled me aside and said "What did you say your name was?" She cracked a grin and I smiled and said "My name is Luz, Luz Noceda." She told me what I did was pretty clever for a human and before I could ask her anything else. A large man with a plague doctor mask yelled "Eda the owl lady! You are under arrest!" He then grabbed me and said "You are under arrest too for. . . fraternizing with a criminal." I kicked him in the ribs and Eda smacked him in the face with her staff. She snapped her fingers and all of her stand was put into this bag she put on her back. She then grabbed my hand and threw me and her onto her staff and we actually started flying.

"AHH WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!" I screamed and held on tightly so I didn't fall. "Oh calm down we are just flying on my staff. You see Luz everything you humans have trouble explaining is when a little bit of our world crosses over with yours. This place is called The Boiling Isles and I am the most powerful witch in the world, Eda the Owl Lady!"

My jaw dropped and I said "Really? Wow that's incredible, I have a lot of questions but first. Where are you taking me?"

"Oh well with the guards after us I am taking you to my hideout, don't worry I will explain the rest when we get there." I smiled and enjoyed the ride, this place may have been crazy but that did not mean it was bad, far from it actually I loved this place it was awesome. I was on a witch's staff flying through the air insanely fast. I am running out of space in my journal so I am afraid I will have to make this short.

She took me to her house which was literally an owl. Or was the owl just kind of there? I don't really understand it but anyway I met this really cute thing that looked a lot the the Pokémon Cuebone but with a black fuzzy body and even smaller. This thing was adorable and it was apparently some kind of demon lord. I didn't know this realm but anyway they told me they needed my help to get King's crown from this prison and I helped them out. It wasn't like I could say no even if I wanted to. I did kind of need her key and door to get home. But anyway I pulled my cat hood on and we broke into the place. I realized shortly after that the three people, yes there were literally only three people in this place by the way. Were not bad people at all, they just were a bit weird like me. I hid before the warden came and the warden beat the absolute shit out of this guy who liked eating his eyeballs.

As soon as the warden left the room strangling the guy I let the other two out. The girl, well she looked human and she was also very pretty. She thanked me and I said it was nothing and we met up with Eda and I got King's crown out of the pile of stuff. I also grabbed this sword that was on the side and thanked god it was a katana. I was a weeb alright? When I started going to my dojo as a kid I chose to master the Katana first, it became my best weapon and most favorite but in the 14 years since I have learned a lot of other weapons and fighting styles. Anyway I handed King the fast food crown and he started giggling. He picked up a stuffed animal of a buddy and declared him his servant Francois.

I asked Eda why she would do all that for him if it gave him no powers. She told me that they had nothing else in this world but each other in a way that made me tear up. I wished that my mom would have done that for me but she always tried gently pushing me to do things I didn't want to. The warden turned his hand into an axe blade and decapitated Eda. Blood went everywhere but there was a surprising lack of it. I caught her head and she told me to run and that she would take care of it.

The regular guards grabbed the two people I helped out and held them down. I drew my katana and I readied myself for a fight. The warden said "Now Eda I can stop all of this but only if. . ." He paused dramatically and said "You go on a date with me." He picked up her head and said "Well it isn't really like you can say no." I saw an opening and cut his arm off freeing Eda. His blood was this weird blue color and it sprayed all over the place. I didn't think about it much and held my sheath in my other hand and knocked the guards out with the sheath. I put the blade back in and yelled for the two of them to hide while I put Eda's head on her body, and snatched up King. Then threw up all on the wand and said "Fly thing!"

Nothing happened until Eda said "Gun it magic stick. The thing flew us out the window and we all landed in this opening in the front of the prison. The warden tried to cast a spell at Eda and she reflected it back at him with two magic circles. Before I had any time to think about it she threw the key to me and told me to leave. But I would not, I refused. The warden got out of the now broken wall and Eda smacked her staff and it flew me over to safety. I saw all three of the people earlier and ran over to them. "Guys you need to leave now."

The girl looked at me sadly and said "We belong here, as much as I hate this place this is where freaks like us belong." The rest of them nodded with her and I said "No! There is nothing wrong with being a little weird, so what if you are a little weird. Us weirdos have to stick together!" My words actually worked and they all ran to safety as Eda was fighting the warden. I could tell she had it but I still wanted to help. That thing was actually trying to kill her, I sneaked up to them fighting, thanking god I was very very good at sneaking around. I readied myself and drew my sword out of the sheathe. It got the warden's attention and Eda blasted him with a fire spell that sent him straight into me. I jumped over him and with a slice his head hit the floor, blue blood shooting everywhere. I threw Eda her staff and took my sword out cleaning it off and we got the hell out of there.

Her staff was fast, it took only a few minutes to get back and as we got inside she said "Thanks for the help Luz, I didn't know that you would actually be capable in a fight. Do most humans kill things like that?"

I thought about what I did earlier, I actually killed something. A living being with a soul and a conscience and I killed it. I reasoned with myself that I had to because it would kill Eda and faked a smile while I said "Oh well kind of? There are jobs where killing just kind of happens and you have to be prepared for it. It is definitely not normal, in my case it would be okay because it was self-defense. But we can't just kill someone."

She nodded accepting the logic and took the key and pressed the eye on it saying, "Well as promised kid here you go." It opened up the same door I took to get here and I looked behind me feeling a bit sad. King looked down actually sad and Eda also looked a bit sad. I pulled out my phone and saw that it had a signal. Eda said "Oh wait, don't forget these." Then handed me my book and the pamphlet for that summer camp thing. I looked down at the pamphlet looked at the book.

I then looked at Eda and said "You know what, I think I have a proposition for you. I stay here and help you out, in turn you teach me how to become a witch. I will go back home whenever I feel like but not for very long. Sound good?"

She looked at me confused and said "A human become a witch? That's preposterous. But. . . I could use some help keeping King here out of the cabinets. Oh what the hell, sure I will accept your offer."

That about gets us to the present. I pulled out the sleeping roll I had planned on bringing to camp and awensered a text from my mom telling her goodnight and that I was sure I would actually like it here. King crawled up into a ball at the end of my sleeping bag like a cute dog and I went to sleep for the night. Excited for tomorrow.

(This will not end per episode because I will be having some fun with this series ending it whenever I would like to.)

'My first day being a real witch!' I was incredibly excited. I took my katana with me and grabbed some of Eda's spare witch clothes. I had the big hat and cloak on now too. I was really looking forward to it but well long story short I just handed out deliveries for her. The cool part was a wizard but I could tell he was up to no good so I paid him no mind. It was the afternoon when I got back and I just started doing my training in the yard, having fun using this new katana that fit me perfectly and working out. It got Eda's attention and she said "Luz what are you doing?"

"Oh I am working out, it is how humans like me stay fit. You are some kind of zombie thing so I guess it makes sense you wouldn't need to work out but I do." She nodded accepting the logic but said "I am not a zombie thing, I am Eda the owl lady. Anyway follow me I found a trash slug that should have some treasure in it."

I just nodded and followed her excitedly, treasure was something that had to be awesome. There was no way it could be something like potion delivery. We got there and she said "See? Have you ever seen something as amazing as this!?" It was well. . . this very large slug thing with razor sharp teeth with a mouth like an octopus. It looked disgusting and smelt even worse. "This is what happens when a Sea slug gets hit by a large wave of water and croaks from all the salt!"

'What the hell did she just say? Wouldn't a Sea Slug always be in the salty water? Or if they weren't by the sea why the hell would they ever go over there to their inevitable deaths?' This place really made no sense to me, but ignoring that she handed me a pickaxe and started swinging against its teeth to break inside its mouth. I Just drew my Katana from the sheathe, the satisfying sound of it being drawn rang and I cut slightly into the thing's belly not wanting to cut too deep and slashed a large hole into its stomach. Blood and organs poured out and I turned to Eda and said "Ugh I opened a hole for you here. Would you mind teaching me some magic soon? I mean I don't want to rush it but I at least want to see you use more of it if you don't think I am ready? I expected some dangerous missions, mixing potions, and you know, learning magic."

"That sounds like the magic school, they do that kind of thing there. But that is not the true way to learn magic. Magic is spontaneous, wild. Not some kind of thing that you should just learn in a classroom. But you don't know that yet, so how about this, you can go to the magic school and sneak around for a bit and just watch them learn. After being there for a day or so you will understand." Eda said, the way she said it made me want to learn it myself but she told me to go so I did.

I walked along the pass until I saw this girl with mint green short hair make fun of a girl apparently named "Half-a-witch-Willow." After the girl left Willow cursed saying she hated how everyone called her that. Her eyes glowed green and a green aura was built around her. The ground started to rumble and thorns shot out from the ground and grabbed me and threw me into the ground. The thorns dug into my skin and I reached for my katana and drew it from the sheathe and then cut off the thorn branch. Willow snapped out of it and apologized profusely for attacking me. She very quickly learned I was a human and started asking me questions then a scream was heard which apparently told her to get to class.

She sadly started trying to get her goopy mess and I told her I would be the abomination so that way I could see the school. I had a feeling it was a bad idea but she agreed and we were off. She started going over how the school works and I met Agustus who said he would see us at lunch and we were off. Today their class was testing on who made the best abominations and the professor did not grade things easily. "If I see one more failure I will give you all one month more of homework."

The girl who bullied Willow wanted to go but the professor said he likes to save the best for last so he picked Willow. Which is a very rude thing to say but I reassured Willow that we would get her a good grade. She wheeled me over and said "Abomination rise!" I punched the lid off and gave an "Uhhhhgghh" As I flipped out and landed she gave a few commands and then the professor said "Excellent job Willow! But can it talk?" 'Fuck fuck fuck what should I say? Think Luz think' "Uh I may be an abomination but" I nuzzled against Willow's cheek and she gave a cute blush "You're my A-mom-ination" The professor laughed and said it was clever. Writing an A+ on my forehead. Amity was pissed off knowing I wasn't a real abomination but she did nothing so I just got back in the urn thing.

As class ended Willow was walking me out and the professor caught up to her and stole Amity's gold star. Which was very important to her and it pissed her off a lot. Gus asked if I ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and my eyes sparkled and I stole half the sandwich eating it happily sinking into the goop. Amity saw and grabbed me by the shirt and yelled "ABOMINATIONS DON'T EAT!" The professor demanded she see the principal and willow and Gus took me to a classroom.

Very soon after I showed Gus what a high-five was, the principal burst through the door and I played dead again. He said "Abomination rise, lie down on that table" so I went over to the table and as I lied down the principal took out a knife. Reflexes took over and I may have kicked the knife out from his hand with my katana drawn. Willow grabbed my hand and attempted to pull me but I just said "It's okay." Uh it was not okay the principal summoned a bunch of Abominations and I started to demonstrate why I didn't need magic. "Calm down, I am Luz the human. Don't hurt Willow and Gus, they haven't done anything wrong. I just wanted to come see what a magic school was like.

Thankfully Willow grabbed a seed from her pocket and trapped the professor and Amity, I ran out of the school and straight to Eda. I made it there in record time and saw a giant slug about to eat Eda and King. I sighed and sliced into the slug's brain spraying blood all over the place once again. "What the hell are you two doing? I was gone for literally just a few hours."

Eda said "Oh hi Luz thanks for the help. I wasn't able to use magic because King is in my arms. How was checking out the school?" I laughed and said "Oh it was actually pretty fun until the principal tried to dissect me, but I stopped him and my friends helped me escape." Not moments after I finished Gus and Willow ran to me laughing saying "Luz you'll never believe it, the professor was so impressed with my nature magic that he promoted me to the nature track!" She did a twirl and her uniform changed from purple to green.

"Wow that's great, when can I go back?" They both turned sad and said "Uhhh about that." Gus said and he undid the paper he was holding. It was a poster that said banned with me pointing my sword. I was wondering when the hell they took it and Eda said "Aww my student has her first wanted poster. You take right from your master don't you?"

Gus and Willow went back to school and I took out my phone and said "Oh Eda can you show me a spell? I want to record it and show it to my mom later." I started recording and Eda said "Oh um Hi Luz's mom. It's a shame I can't meet you but I am proud to say Luz is my student and I take great care of her. Don't worry she is safe with me I am the strongest witch in the Boiling Isles, here let me show you something." She made a circle and a ball of light appeared.

I started watching the video of her doing magic over and over. She did it just by moving her finger in a circle which was not possible for me. I started watching it on 0.25 and I finally saw this weird symbol, it looked almost like a bird. I drew it onto a piece of paper and looked at it confused. I picked it up and said "Uh Eda I noticed this symbol when you make your magic circle, does it mean something?" She just shook her head no and I sighed putting the paper back on the floor. While doing so I accidentally tapped the rune and the paper crumpled and turned into a ball of light. "HOLY SHIT EDA I DID IT!" She turned around and I made another one tapping it and it turned into a ball of light.

She tackled me and said "You did it Luz! You learned how to use magic!" I drew a much bigger circle into the ground and hit it with my foot. A large ball of light appeared. I started making tons and tons of those runes. I made a giant one out of a large piece of construction paper and wrapped it around my sword. I cut the tree and a flashbang of light appeared. I started laughing about all the fun possibilities I could make with it. Then it started to rain and Eda threw me inside. "Ow Eda what was that for?"

"Rain in the Boiling Isles is boiling hot, hang on I have to put a barrier around the house." She stepped outside and created a barrier, but it didn't take a magic circle so I assumed I wouldn't be able to learn it. She walked back inside and layed down in her nest and passed out. King started teaching me about demons which was actually pretty interesting, well king of. He went on and on about how they killed people which was good and all but he repeated himself a lot. He went up to Eda's room and I heard a crash.

I ran up with my sword in hand and King just said "Oopsie." I cleaned up the glass and told him it probably wasn't a big deal unless Eda noticed. We went back to looking up demons and a window crashed. We opened the front door and saw some weird thing that was far too fast to get a good look at. But King said it was a snaggleback probably here to eat us after watching us inside. "Oh fuck Eda is inside King hold on!" I put him on my head and sprinted upstairs to Eda's room. I broke the door open and Eda wasn't in her nest. "Give me back my master! Eda where are you!?" I yelled, the lights to the house went out and King said it must be Hooty turning the lights off. I jumped out the window and landed on the floor. Hooty was beaten to all hell but thankfully not dead. Quickly I ran upstairs looking for it. We moved into the bathroom and saw a shadow. I opened the shower curtains and it was a baby snaggleback saying it just wanted to hide from the rain and that something tore open the door so he came through the window. "What the hell could have done this then/' I asked and immediately a hand grabbed the snaggleback and ate him whole. It burped up the shell and jumped down from the attic slamming into the floor. "Wait Eda?"

The horrifying thing was actually Eda but she turned into some kind of demon with black eyes, the gem she had was also now pure black. She swung her claws towards king and I and I threw King outside the bathroom and was slammed into the wall. I coughed blood from my mouth and she raised her claws once more. I was barely able to block as sparks sprayed off our weapons meeting and the sparks got into her eyes. I took the chance for distraction and kicked the shit out of her knocking out of the house.

I grabbed King and locked us in Eda's room. I said, "King, she is some kind of demon, what can we do?" He thought about it for a bit and said "Wait I have an idea, we need to make a giant rune and blind her with it. Demons with black eyes are sensitive to light." I started carving the rune into the floor and waited for Eda. It took only a minute for her to crawl into the room. I needed to get her close so I used a weakness of hers King showed me earlier. I used my pen with the glowing light on it and she lunged for me. I flipped back and she responded slamming me into the wall.

I could feel my ribs bruise and hit the ground hard. She stood above me ready to eat me and I smirked and spit blood into her eyes. I stumbled back and as she charged me once more I hit the light rune. The light was so bright I turned around and closed my eyes, the damn thing was so bright I still could see it. Thankfully she was knocked out cold and I found a spare potion in her closet. I poured it down her throat and rubbed her throat remembering that was how the books I had on medicine told me that was what to do if you had to get someone to drink something.

Thankfully after she drank the full potion she turned back into her normal self. I made tons and tons of light runes and stored them in a satchel I had, I made sure to make many of all different shapes and sizes. King and I waited for her to wake up. After a few hours she woke up and I said "Good morning Eda." She was holding her head like she had a bad headache and she asked "Ugh what happened why does my head hurt so much?"

"Well I learned why they call you the Owl lady. You kinda terrorized the house as an owl. Thankfully I found a spare elixir you had stored in your closet and you turned back to normal." I started coughing and spit blood up from my mouth.

'Oh my god Luz are you okay?" I smiled at her weakly and said "Yeah just me and your claws got acquainted, it's okay though nothing that hasn't happened before." Her face grew cold and she said "I-I hurt you" She stumbled over to me and fell down, barely able to pick herself up and she hugged me saying "I am so sorry Luz I had no idea that would happen. It won't ever happen again."

"It's okay Eda, nothing too bad happened this time, well you did eat this demon thing but that was about it. Oh you also beat Hooty up but King and I fixed him up, oh and King apologize." King looked down to the ground sadly and said "I'm sorry Eda, I accidentally knocked your elixir which started this whole mess."

She patted his head and said "It is okay, but you are going to have a whole lot of chores to clean this place now okay?" King nodded and ran off to clean up his mess. "U-um Eda do you mind if I ask you a question?"

She turned to me a little confused and said "Sure Luz what do you need?"

"U-uh well would it be okay if I um, if I. . . would it be okay if I slept next to you? I am really tired and your bed looks comfy." I looked over and she had a light blush. I just shook my head and got up using my sword as a cane and said "You know what, bad idea ignore that. Just another one of Luz's silly ideas." She grabbed my hand and smiled saying "Of course you can, it's the least I can do for hurting you like this. With that said, she and I slept in her nest together while King cleaned the house.

(No sex happened she just wanted to cuddle with Eda.)

Time Skip: 1 Week

I was reading my book to King and he was loving it. Eda though not so much, "Can you please put that away you are scaring my customers?" I looked around at the completely empty area around us and said "Uh what customers? Wait, where is everyone?"

Eda's face took a grim look and she said "There must be some sort of horrific event going on keeping everyone away." As soon as she finished her sentence Willow and Gus ran to us saying "Luz the coolest thing ever is happening! There is a convention for covens so students can decide which coven to follow."

"That sounds awesome. Can we go Eda? Pleaseeee?" She tried denying it and King started to read the book aloud, she groaned and walked through the door to take us to the human world. I threw King in just as the door closed, I said "Three, two, one." The door appeared and Eda said "Oh dear god just get him to shut up I don't care what we do please just get it to stop."

That was all it took and we were at the convention, Eda pulled her cloak over her head and I said "Uh Eda can't you just use magic to cover yourself?" She said "Clever girl." I couldn't hold back the sweatdrop and she changed her face. Well kind of she just made herself look younger, gave herself green eyes, and gave herself blond hair. I blushed looking at her and Willow said "Who knows, maybe looking at different covens will help you decide what coven you want to join as well." Eda pulled Willow's cloak over her head and we laughed and walked inside. We were introduced to the main covens and then we watched the debut of the Emperor's coven. The principal gave an introduction saying they could use every single kind of magic and I made a mental note to ask Eda why she did not join them.

He introduced someone named Lilith, as he said her name Eda's eyes widened and she said "Lilith!?" That was at least some kind of indication she used to know this Lilith. Lilith was flashy, she made a Hawk that looked like a constellation, it appeared and she talked about the coven for a bit and then their debut was over. Eda vanished into the crowd as I was looking for her and I accidentally bumped into someone.

"Oh my god I am so sorry I didn-" I was caught off by the person turning around saying "Hey what are yo- Oh you are Willow's abomination thing." I laughed nervously and said "Um well about that I am actually a human, not at all an abomination I just wanted to see the school." She mocked me about being a witch, I didn't really care I just shrugged it off until King dropped a cupcake and I said.

"Alright for being such a cunt you and me, witch's duel. If I win you will stop being such an asshole and you will help me out whenever I ask for your help." I said crossing my arms and she smiled and said "If I win, you will tell everyone in the convention that you are not a witch, and you will also never learn magic again."

I grinned like a devil and said "Yes, let's shake on it." She made a magic circle to make an actual eternal promise or whatever and I left to find Eda. I had an hour to prepare. I found Eda arguing with Lilith about something and said "Eda I challenged Amity to a witch's duel for being an asshole. Just wanted to let you know I am going to warm up." Lilith and Eda shook hands and Eda found me in an empty hallway warming up.

"Okay let's say I come at you with a fireball, what will you do?" I shrugged and said "Uhh I would probably just dodge it and stab you. Actually shoot a fireball at me please." Eda shrugged and shot a fireball and I attempted to cut the fireball in half. It actually worked and dissipated the fireball. I grinned "I think my sword can nullify magic, I got this in the bag. She uses Abomination magic so I won't have to worry about that stuff. I do have a question for you though, if you didn't ever join a coven because you get branded and are not allowed to learn how to use any other magic, why did you not just join the Emperor's Coven? They just said you would be able to use all magic."

"Well Lilith is my sister and we both wanted to get into the Emperor's Coven. That year it just so happened that Lilith and I would have to fight for a single spot in the Coven. I was not going to fight my sister so I declined the fight and they banned me from being able to join the coven for refusing to fight. I refused to join any other coven and the emperor made me a criminal because he was scared of the power I possessed. Now let's go so you can beat Amity up." She said as we walked to the arena entrance.

Lilith introduced us both and the fight started. Amity summoned a giant abomination far bigger than anything she summoned before. I drew my sword and grabbed a larger sized light gliff and tapped it. The bright light distracted the Abomination and I ran to it and chopped off its legs, sending it into the ground. Amity quickly made it again and it ripped off and threw its own head at me. I was barely able to roll out of the way and I did see Amity a bit surprised at the size of her abomination. It threw a punch and I was able to jump on it and run up its arm, I jumped off and slashed through the thing's chest cutting it down. This time before Amity could make another one I put my sword to her neck and said "It's over surrender."

I was shot in the back by a purple bullet and flipped over Amity and she was hit by three more purple bullets taking them head on. I slammed the butt end of my katana against the back of her head, knocking her out. I saw something weird on the back of her neck and remembered it was from the construction coven. "Is this a power glyph?" I asked turning to Eda and she said very loudly "Not only did your apprentice lose, but you also cheated. This is a power glyph from the construction coven."

Lilith's eyes turned a bright blue and energy cackled all around her. Next thing I knew I was slammed into the wall coughing up blood. "LUZ!" Eda shouted and started fighting against Eda. I fell off the wall and onto the floor struggling to get up and I slowly moved to save Amity who was unconscious in the middle of the fight. I slowly moved towards her and I could feel blood dripping down my head, some got into my eyes and I started to lose a bit of control of balance. "LUZ STAY DOWN!" I turned to see Eda looking towards me get slammed by a giant blue fireball.

"EDA!" I yelled and Lilith grabbed me by the neck and yelled "I know you cheated human! How!? HOW DID YOU DO IT!?" She threw me into the ground and stomped on my chest breaking at least a few ribs. I cried out in pain and reached for my sword. "D-do you know why I won?" She kicked me in the stomach again, sending blood flying out of my mouth. I started smiling as she screamed "YES HOW!?"

I started to laugh, I didn't care if it hurt anymore. I said "B-because I am the student of Eda the Owl Lady, the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles!" Her eyes widened and she stomped on my face, breaking my nose. "LIAR WHAT DID YOU DO!?" I drew a shaky breath and I pierced her chest all the way through with my sword. I kicked her other leg making her crash to the ground. I spat blood onto her face and said "I am a human girl who is the student of Eda the Owl Lady, MY NAME IS LUZ NOCEDA." I pulled the sword out and slammed the butt end of the sword on her face, knocking her out. I put the construction gliff on my arm and it powered me up enough, the stadium erupted into cheering and I picked up Eda and Amity. I was able to get to the Owl House before passing out cold onto the floor. The pain was finally too much and I just crashed letting sleep overtake me. The last thing I heard was Willow and Gus yelling "Luz!"
