Disclaimer: If you're asking, no I still do not own Fire Emblem: Three Houses nor do I plan to in the future. All of it and its characters are owned by Nintendo and nothing but Nintendo, so yep, there's that. Now that I'm done and over with, here's a little Lorenz/Marianne fluff-shot I know you'll appreciate. Read on, cool cats.

P.S: I forgot to mention to everyone that this takes place after Verdant Wind, which means it's all about the Golden Deer! WHOOOOOO!

Summer time had broken all around the entire Garreg Mach Monastery as inside the small little atrium of shade, two certain females were busy enjoying their usual tea time as a way to relax after the long final battle they had with Nemesis. They weren't just a couple of females to be honest. One of them had long pink hair and a playful, lazy fun-loving personality while the other had blue hair that was all wrapped in a graceful bun and had a much quiet peaceful personality others didn't have.

Both went by the names of Hilda Valentine Goneril and Marianne Von Edmund, who at this point was sipping down on her cup of tea which was made by Hilda herself.

"This tastes pretty good, Hilda." Marianne said with a smile, "I never imagined you'd make tea this good."

Hilda smirked with a big blush on her face before saying, "Yeah, Ferdinand kinda helped me out with the process. Those leaves DEFINITELY enhance the flavor."

"It definitely does, Hilda." Marianne replied, taking another sip.

"You know, maybe I oughta teach you how to brew tea just he does." Hilda suggested.

Marianne then smiled back yet again, "Well Hilda, that would definitely be-"

Before she could finish that last word, the two were immediately cut off by a hesistant Lorenz Hellman Gloucester, who ran right over to the atrium and shouted, "Marianne, there you are! Come quickly!"

"Oh, Lorenz!" Marianne said jumping out of her seat as his concerned voice spooked her entirely, "You scared me."

"I know and I apologize, but you must come quickly!" Lorenz replied before saying, "Dorte's got a high fever!"

The natural blue-haired beauty took in a shocked gasp, "What?!"

"I've checked on him while I was visiting the stables and he was lying on the hay floor moaning in pain!" Lorenz shrieked yet again.

"Oh no, I gotta go check up on him!" Marianne gasped, all before bolting out of her seat and rushed out of the atrium as if the cathedral she prayed at were engulfed in flames.

And no doubt she was running that fast in record time. Faster than Raphael trying to run inside the dining hall to get a decent meal, faster than Sylvain trying to chase after an attractive woman that walked past by him, and definitely faster than Felix attempting to strike an oncoming target. She moved so fast that Lorenz had to keep up with her by sprinting right behind Marianne, who at this point was conserving a lot of energy from all that running.

Marianne finally managed to make it inside Forte's shed and shouted, "Dorte, where… are… you…"

Her voice had suddenly drifted slowly just to realize that Dorte wasn't there at all.

No, what appeared in his place was a circle full of wonderfully scented candles, which all smelled like beautifully enchanted flowers. It was good considering the fact that the smell was quite strong enough to get rid of the hay stench that Lorenz found bothersome at all times. The look of concern that was dreaded on Marianne's face was now replaced with a look of disappointment, realizing not just the fact that Dorte wasn't there all along, but Lorenz had to lie to her like that.

"Dorte's not here…" Marianne groaned to herself before turning around to say, "Lorenz, why would lie to me about-"

But then, she was immediately cut off by a shocking sight Marianne never expected to see turning around. One sight that never even came to the nature-lover's mind until now:

It was the sight of Lorenz Hellman Gloucester bowing down to one knee with an engagement ring shining so nicely at the grasp of his fingers.

Marianne took in yet another gasp, this one caused by a state of shock and utter surprise. She tried her best not to say anything at all, and thankfully she did, knowing the fact that Marianne herself became hypnotized by Lorenz's enchanting gaze. That striking look of his was more than enough to make Marianne's entire insides melt completely on impact.

Using a speechless Marianne to his advantage, Lorenz broke in a compassionate rant and said, "Marianne Von Edmund, I love you. Even when I first laid my eyes on you, I thought you were just a commoner wandering helplessly in this world with a terrible crest that you held deep in your soul. But throughout these years that we've had together, you were more than just a mere commoner, you possessed a rare beauty I appreciated inside you. One that was natural, compassionate, soft-spoken, innocent, caring and driven. Those were the traits you had that became enough to win my heart over you. It was because of you Marianne that I looked at myself further and realized that thanks to you and my friends, I no longer perceived myself to be the vain, arrogant, self-loved noble everyone thought I was. You helped me find a place in my heart, Marianne, and I feel like I need to exchange the favor myself."

"Lorenz, I don't know what to say…" Marianne said trying not to hold in this unexpected moment.

"But I do," Lorenz nodded before popping the question to her with a desirable smile, "Marianne Von Edmund, will you marry me?"

Those four simple words had become chilling enough that it burned Marianne's entire heart emotionally, leaving her to sob quietly like the voice of angel. She wasn't crying out of sadness however, but rather, the tears she had shed from Lorenz's compassionate words made her tear up in delight and joy. So much so that it took several seconds for Marianne to take in this moment and responded to Lorenz the best way she knew how:

"Yes, Lorenz! I'll marry you!"

Lorenz had felt delighted hearing that answer escape from Marianne's lips. It proceeded him to slip the engagement ring right through the fourth finger on her right hand, leaving her to gaze at it for a short time before melting onto his arms in the form of a hug. Lorenz's felt a deep state of calm hearing Marianne's joyful cries charm his ears entirely as if it became music to him. If it was, it would be the most heavenly sound Lorenz would hear.

The two broke off the hug only to remain in an endearing embrace, fueled by Lorenz using his hand to wipe away one of Marianne's tear-stained cheeks with such a caring smile. His enchanting grin kept Marianne smiling long enough to the point where the two continued to lock eyes at each other. It soon led them to inch their faces closer together, resulting in a very passionate kiss that sealed the deal for them altogether.

Hilda immediately watched the entire scene go down outside the stable, forcing her to break out an "Awwww" at this wonderful scene Lorenz laid down in front of Marianne. The playful pink-haired girl couldn't believe that the two of her closest friends that she grew up with during her time in the academy would soon walk through that aisle as both husband and wife. And with those thoughts ringing true in her mind, Hilda would no doubt make herself a fine maid-of-honor.

But right now, all Hilda wanted to do was watch the sweet kiss that Lorenz gave to Marianne and perfectly sigh out to herself, "They definitely do make a sweet couple…"

The kiss between Lorenz and Marianne lasted a bit while before the violet-haired charmer broke it off to give Marianne some air, although she actually didn't mind being breathless for another minute or so.

"By the way, I kinda apologize if I lied to you about your horse being sick and all." Lorenz apologized sheeply, letting out an embarrassed blush with still a smile on his lips, "I just had to do something romantic for you just to complete that bond between us."

Marianne then replied with a shrug before saying, "It's okay, Lorenz. At least what you did for me makes up for everything."

With that being said for her, the soon-to-be newlywed couple continued to melt in each other's arms for as long as the two desired. This no doubt still felt like a false alarm to Marianne's mind, but if that was the case considering what romantic lengths Lorenz had to go to complete that engagement, Marianne had to admit one thing deep down:

It was the best false alarm she could ever be a part of.

Not gonna joke, but this really warmed my heart straight up writing this non-stop. I think Lorenz/Marianne is no doubt one of the most sweetest couples there ever is in FE3H, what with the way Lorenz acts so kind and sweet towards her despite Marianne's secret crest. That support of theirs made me like Lorenz so much. Heck, it was so good that maybe I might have the urge to write them again if inspiration strikes me sooner rather than later. Would everybody be down for more MariLore/LoreMari? Let me know so that I may be down to writing them again.

Anyway, you know what to do from here, my fluff-loving readers. LOL
