The shirt Annie wore was clean unlike the rest of her bloodied wardrobe. It was the only one left that hadn't been torn or stained, it was pure white and it was the last time she would ever wear it. Dims above she would most likely never able return to the Marley. Or meet her father again, the voice at the back of her mind tell her.

It was nearing midnight and her balcony at the cabin she shared with rest of the Warriors, the one that still lives that is, let in the warm and slightly stale breeze. She don't know where Falco and Gabi has gone to, and she doesn't really care about them, as she sure Falco and Gabi will take care of each other. Had it not been so dirty perhaps she would've enjoyed it, but with the Paradis island's port guarded by Jaegerist, they unable to leave. Hanji, Magath, the Warriors, and the other has gone scouting for escape route and find a way to kill the Founding Titan.

"You look good in white." A cold voice said. His comment drifted across the room and sent chills up her spine. She stopped eating and stood up. Eren, it was definitely Eren. How could he find her? Ah yes, he probably has full control of Coordinate now.

"I suggest you leave." She responded coldly. "There's nothing for you here." She didn't question how he not in the Founding Titan, but is troubling news to them.

"That's no way to treat an old friend."

Annie heard his footsteps click on the tile floor so she wheeled around to face him. His features, as handsome as ever, but his expression solemn. The stale breeze she had earlier been complaining about gently weaved through his now long hair, compared to years ago.

"You're always are my friend. And this is how I treat my friends." She said with a straight face and her hands clenched. His eyebrows raised at her reply and his eyes seemed to search for the lie, but when they only met her cold glare -as cold as she could make her soft features- he stepped forward, closer to her. He stopped with only a foot between them.

He tilted his head down to her. "Harsh words from you, teacher. And did your father teaches you that?"

Those last words stung her. How dare he! Mocking her father, mocking the efforts that she and her father had put into making her a part of Warriors program.

Annie looked up with rage into Eren's cold eyes. "What do you want?"

He stepped closer, she stood her ground. "What do you think I want?"

"I don't know, it's one of other things."

Eren's eyes looked her over and he replied with a sarcastic voice. "Please do enlighten me." He stuffed his hand into his pocket and leaned back slightly.

"You want to eat me."

He leaned in so that their faces were mere inches apart and his arm blocked her escape.

"Actually, I never considered that," his eyes flickered downward slightly but his mouth quickly formed a smirk. "As I want to end the Titans existence. But I don't want to sacrifice you."

Before he could've blinked twice, her hand was at his throat, with a knife dangerously close to his skin. He doesn't say anything. He just looked at her and the knife with bored expression. Annie held her breath. Why? Why? Why he didn't want to? She started taking short rapid breaths but tried to keep the panic out of her voice.

Eren inched his neck into the dagger, causing him to slightly bleed. "Where are they?"

"Who?"

"Reiner. He still a Warrior afterall. Or did he already get replaced?"

"Yes. He already got replaced."

"Lies." she heard him whisper under his breath. His eyes trailed to the side for a brief moment and she could've sworn they softed the slightest bit, but when he returned his gaze to hers, the cruel mocking look had taken over again. "I didn't expect anything more from a honorary Marleyan though."

"You're a monster." Annie replied in an equally cruel tone, but she was sure he had heard the waver in her voice.

"I am a monster but so are you. Afterall, we all monster, in one form or another."

(She cannot deny that.)
