Hey guys, and this is going to be one of my first stories on Dr. Stone. It's going to talk less about the characters, and more as the influence the show itself has had on the world. So, let's start the first and only chapter of Anime's impact.

"And here, I would like to introduce Ram Gandhi. No relation to Mahatma Gandhi, as he has told me, for his lecture."

I walked to the blue podium, for a speech as the Nobel prize in Engineering.

I had a speech in mind, one that would inspire others as I was inspired.

"Thank you all. Thank you for this prize. Firstly, I could not have done this on my own."

The people started to look bored, so I added, "Thank you to my family for their support, along with my friends and co-workers who made this happen. Now, I would like to talk about my inspiration for the pill that makes people immortal."

That caught their attention.

"Firstly, I wasn't the first person to suggest immortality of sorts. I'm not that original." That made them chuckle. "There are many who have suggested it in the past, from the philosophers of ancient Greece, to even modern-day history, where we continue to strive to live longer, healthier lives. However, I wanted to..." I paused. "Take this fantasy idea and make it a reality."

They clapped. After that subsided, I added, "Well, here's the part of the speech that gets a bit embarrassing." I scratched the back of my neck, nervously.

"I wasn't always this way. When I was a kid, I was kind of a loner. I was sliding in my grades, my interests involved sitting in a room and watching shows. That lasted up until I was 12." I chuckled, when the memory came back to mind.

"I remember that day so clearly." A man coughed in the audience, but I continued, not paying mind.

"I was bored. I went to school, came out of it, and felt like nothing happened. So, I was looking for a show to watch, because it would be at the very least, slightly more interesting than my school life."

Some people got the joke and chuckled. Others chuckled awkwardly, and some didn't even smile.

"Then, I came across a new show, or a new show at the time, called Dr. Stone." Many people in the audience perked up at me saying that name. "Yes, that show. I see a few of you have watched it."

I took a step back, with my hands out.

"Back then, people thought it would be the next One Piece, which was pretty big at the time. One Piece was one of, if not the best selling manga ever, and Dr. Stone exceeded that eventually. That show got me out of the figurative hole I had buried myself into, and I asked my parents if we could do some of the experiments in the show."

"My dad and mom were reluctant, obviously, from their kid who was a c student, which is kind of bad from an Asian kid's standpoint. However, I wanted to start small, and make some of the non… explosive things within the show."

A few more people chuckled. Others were just confused.

"We managed to find materials around us to make a fully featured, relatively modern light bulb. Now, again, that may seem inefficient, especially considering you can buy a couple of them for 20 dollars, while, well, let's just say my lightbulb I made was more than that. That one thing made me push forward on technology. I worked on trying to find more efficient materials that would make it last more than a lifetime. I ended up making many efficient light bulbs for the entire house, ones that would last… for hundreds of years. My goal, after that moment, was to have my world live to see that light bulb go dark."

Another round of clapping went by. "The show guided me to a world that I never knew existed, and it has inspired many others to follow in the footsteps Senku Ishigami has walked. Even though, as many of you know, or I hope you know, Dr. Stone is fictional," That got a laugh out of people.

"I am sure that eventually, we will eclipse what we have thought about in sci-fi stories, like Star Trek and the first 6 star wars movies. Let's not talk about episodes seven, eight, and nine." Everyone laughed, as many of them knew of the failure of the reboot trilogy.

"And while fiction is, in fact, fiction, it can inspire something real in all of us, to make us sing, take care of our family more, create music, play a sport, to study better, or in my case, work with science to improve humanity. So, I hope to see you all next year, where I will, to quote Senku Ishigami, give my 10 billion percent to get this another year, and I hope that I will continue to push the boundaries of science and math, and for humanity."

Clapping went by, and I continued to smile. 'Now, people will live forever.'

'This feeling of accomplishment… it's… exhilarating, as Senku would say.' I walked off the stage, as the applause subsided, and another person would take on the stage.

Okay, so that's probably going to be my only chapter. Unless more people want another chapter. What do you think? Should it get more chapters? Review down below what you think.
