This is yet another random idea I thought of, starring Calhoun and the hero's duty soldiers, hope you like it.
(Litwak city, Felix and Calhoun's apartment, early November 2020)
"Sweetie, you don't have to do this" said Felix
Calhoun was busy checking some weapons and getting fitted into her old armor.
"I know, but after what happened recently, I think me and the boys should brush up on our combat skills. If they can handle the games I've chosen, they can handle any danger this internet world throws at us" said Calhoun
"What about the autobots? They promised to protect us" said Felix
"Yes, but they can't solve all our problems, and I don't trust this galactic empire, Rancis tells me they're villains. I know we should be nicer to the villains living here, but those imps did attack us. Trust me, it's for the best i go" said Calhoun
"Alright, but be careful. And don't think I'm letting my wife leave without eating a nice healthy breakfast" said Felix
After eating with her husband, Calhoun grabbed her gear and met her troops outside of Star Wars republic commando, one of the games she chose for training.
"Sarge, good to see you"
"Good to see you too, kohut. Alright men, you all know why we're here, glad you all chose to show up" said Calhoun
"Sarge, I'm all for protecting our new home, but game jumping?" Markowski asked
"Ralph and Vanellope do it all the time and they're still alive. If they can do it, imagine what we can do. Besides, this online world is full of dangers and we gotta be prepared. I don't trust those imps, despite what Vanellope thinks about them. Today we'll be going through republic commando, the commandos will be here any minute to greet us" said Calhoun
Just then, 4 people stepped out of the game wearing identical looking white armor, only difference was each of them had another color on their armor, green, red, orange, and yellow.
"Greetings troopers, we are the delta squad, republic clone commando unit. I am Delta 38, you may call me boss. I'm the squad leader" said the soldier in orange armor
"Delta 07, sev, marksman" said the soldier in red
"Delta 40, fixer. I'm the tech expert" said the soldier in green
"And I'm delta 62, scorch. I'm the demolition expert" said the soldier in yellow
"We will be guiding you on your mission" said Boss "Your mission is to help us infiltrate a separatist core ship. We will need to go through several valleys to get to it, and the valleys are thick with droids and local resistance"
"Shouldn't be too hard" said Kohut "Sounds simpler than fighting cybugs"
"As long as there's no bugs, I'm fine" said Markowski
The group turned to head inside. Sev spoke to Calhoun
"You didn't tell him about the geonosians?" He asked
"He's gonna have to man up. He's a good soldier, I know he'll do good" said Calhoun
The group entered mission 1 of the game and found themselves in a dark room
"Watch out for the words" said Boss
"Words, what-
Several of the soldiers bumped into words that popped up in front of them
'War has come to the galaxy. The republics secret weapon, a massive clone army, is deployed for the first time against the separatist droid forces'
Calhoun brushed the words away before more popped up
'Zero hour- clone wars- geonosis'
"Just go around them, don't try fighting them" said Scorch
"This is so weird"
The commandos opened a door and led everyone to gunships waiting to take them to the planets surface. It was a bumpy ride. Geonosis was a rocky orange planet with a lot of fighting going on. After a couple minutes, the gunships stopped and dropped the group off.
"This is as far as I go, good luck troopers" said the pilot of one of the ships
"Why here?" Calhoun asked
"There's a large anti aircraft turret up ahead leading to the core ship, I get any closer it'll rip you all to shreds" said a pilot
"Fair point" said Markowski
The group rappelled down from their ships.
"Welcome to geonosis, I am the delta squads advisor and will be your eye in the sky for this mission" a clone told Calhoun and all the troops from their helmets "Your first task to reaching the core ship is to take out that turret"
"Consider it done"
The group made their way through the first canyon, running into their first enemies, enemies that freaked Markowski out a lot, geonosians, who resembled bugs.
"Bugs? There's bugs here?" Markowski shouted
"They're just mindless bugs Markowski, man up and blast them like a man" Calhoun shouted
All the troopers fired their weapons at the bugs as they made their way through the canyon, all but Markowski. After several minutes of traversing through one of the canyons, Calhoun confronted the scared soldier
"Look, Markowski, no one said this mission would be easy, and I admit I probably should've told you about the bugs. But the internet's a big scary place, and we need to be at the top of our game. Or you can walk back to the exit, it's a long walk back" said Calhoun
Calhoun shoved his gun to his chest and turned to continue walking with the rest of delta squad.
"Come on Markowski, you can do it. We've faced worse" said a trooper
