I don't know if this will get to you, but I had to try. You don't understand, Luffy and I have been doing our best. But old man Garp hasn't let up on us. He says he refuses to let us go down that path too. Says pirates are good for nothing and no grandchildren of his will be pirates. But you know how Luffy is, Shanks and you out there, only makes him want to go more. It's all he has been talking about since you left. Thankfully he isn't smart enough to take off on his own yet.
Mikino has been doing her best to keep her eyes on him too. She has been trying to get grandpa to relax too. But with dreams of the seas, I don't think he will be relaxing soon. Where are you now? How is the sea? Do you miss being home? You know we will meet you out there someday, right? The ocean might be big, it might be fierce, but nothing will keep us apart.
I'm not expecting to hear back from you. Being a pirate, the marines would find you. We both know what they do to pirates. So, be careful, okay? I know you're strong, I know the kind of guy you are. So, stay and be careful, for Luffy and me, okay?
